We are excited to get to know you and your child. First, heres a little about us! At Red Mountain Pediatric Dentistry, we want every childs dental experience to be the absolute best. Our office was designed with your childs comfort in mind from our portable spin brushes to the kid-friendly dental chairs. Youll always be greeted with a smile (or maybe even a hug!) and parents are encouraged to accompany their children throughout the entire visit.
Your childs health and comfort is always our top priority. We want children to grow into adults who love going to the dentist. Everything we do at Red Mountain Pediatric Dentistry strives to reach that goal.
What we put in and on our bodies can affect our health in various ways. In order to maintain and restore oral health, complex materials must be used. At our office, we use the safest materials on the market.
Dr. Lauren Dean always knew she wanted to have a job working with children. During her junior year of high school, she heard a dentist speak on a job panel and loved what he had to say. She went home that very day and proclaimed to her family that she was going to be a pediatric dentist. And the rest is history!
Dr. Dean is a Homewood, Alabama native. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Spanish Language from Birmingham-Southern College. She continued her studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her dental degree and specialty training in pediatric dentistry. During her residency, she was trained in caring for children of all ages as well as patients with special healthcare needs.
She loves to have fun with the kids you may see her dressed in a silly costume some days, or hear her singing to patients while she works. She is also passionate about educating her patients and families on the importance of oral health and its connection to our overall health and well-being.

Great place to take a little one! Took my 1.5 year old there and she usually screams in terror at any new people or place especially when someone touches her. They have a video online that shows their office. We watched it a bunch of times and it helped a lot! The staff and Dr Dean are super kind and understanding. I knew we were in good hands. My girl tolerated everything very well. She never screamed and was not terrified. They gave her colorful glasses to wear while there and a dog balloon to take home. She had a great experience and I did too. Dr dean has wonderful bedside manner: I felt like she is a great dentist and is kind and caring. Thanks Dr Dean and red mountain pediatric dentistry. I look forward to more care with you.

I was very pleased! All the staff was so sweet to my daughter. Dr Dean sang wheels on the bus while she brushed my daughters teeth. At the end of the appointment she made my daughter a balloon animal and took a picture and gave me a certificate for her first visit! I am so glad I went there and choose them to be her pediatric dentist!! ** 2nd visit... was even better than the 1st. We got there way too early, but they weren't too busy so they got us In early which was super helpful for me. The hygienist and Dr. Dean communicated very well with everything step of the way. Again they sang wheels on the bus while they brushed my daughters teeth and gave her a ballon animal. Setting up her next appointment was smooth as butter!! I love these people so much! They really care about the children **3rd visit... When I tell you that these people really care about your children they do! My daughter was counting and sing her ABC's and they were just telling her bow smart she is and looking at her animal book with her. They truly know how to make your kids feel comfortable. I love them.

We had the best first dental appt today. I'm terrified of the dentist, so I didn't want my daughter to feel the same...and I can tell she'll love to come back and visit. They were so sweet! It was so quick and such a pleasant experience!

Dr Dean and her staff are very kind, professional and caring. The facility is very clean and kid friendly. She made sure to answer all of my questions and she is a great listener. All of my questions were answered before I left the office.

Love this office! I never wait too long, the facility is cute and clean, and all the staff is friendly. The location is the best: right near a Publix and not in a high traffic area. Both of my kids are happy patients here!

This was our first visit. Staff is accommodating and welcoming. The doctor & highgenists, technician as a team did full exam, cleaning, x rays to our 3 children together at same time professionally. Location is convenient for us (hoover hwy 150), it was within 15 minutes drive. The clinic has very cool design fit for pediatrics dentistry and kids loved it. We will continue to come here in future and we will recommend this clinic for friends and family.
