Dr. Theodore Rechtin was born in St. Louis in 1973. He graduated from SLUH in 1991. He went on to Indiana University for his undergraduate studies and was granted early acceptance to Indiana University School Of Dentistry. It was in his third year of dental school he met Dr. Heather. After graduation in 1998, Dr. Ted practiced dentistry in Marion, Indiana for two years. In May of 2000 Dr. Ted and Dr. Heather were married and moved back to St. Louis and started their practice together. They opened the new facility in March of 2003 with all new state-of the-art equipment and technology.
Dr. Ted is a member of the American Dental Association and the Missouri Dental Association. He recently finished a three year term on the Board of Directors of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. He is a standing member of the Board of Directors of Missouri Dental Insurance Services. Dr. Ted is also a member of the Crown Council, which is a group of distinguished dentists who gather to learn and share knowledge from across the United States and abroad. He stays up on the changing trends and technology in dentistry by regularly attending continuing education seminars.
Although recently on hiatus to take care of the twins, Dr. Heather is still a great presence in the office. Dr. Heather is from Fort Wayne, Indiana where she attended Homestead High School. She went to Indiana University for her undergraduate studies and then went on to Indiana University School of Dentistry where she earned her DDS in 1997. She practiced in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne for three years following graduation. In May of 2000 she married Dr. Ted and moved to St. Louis to open Rechtin Family and Cosmetic Dental Care.
Dr. Heather is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. She is also a member of the Crown Council. Dr. Heather stays up on the new techniques and skills by taking several continuing education courses.
Amy graduated from Missouri College in 2007 and has been working for Dr. Rechtin as a dental assistant since graduation. When not in the office, Amy enjoys scrap booking, shopping and spending time with friends and family. Amy is planning her wedding for 2011.
Sandy graduated from Forest Park Community College with a Dental Hygiene Degree in 1987. She has been working with the Drs. Rechtin since 2000. She enjoys her career and caring for her patients is her top priority. She has been married to her wonderful husband John since 1988. While away from the office Sandy loves to cook and entertain with family and friends. Her son, Drew is 19 and attends Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla. Her daughter, Olivia is 17 and attends Francis Howell North High School. Sandy is a HUGE St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Amanda graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in 2007 and Forest Park Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She has been working for Dr. Rechtin as a Registered Dental Hygienist since graduation. She enjoys seeing new as well as regular patients and takes great pride in her work. While not in the office, Amanda loves riding horses, riding motorcycles and spending time with her husband.
Courtney graduated from Missouri College in 2010 and has been working for Dr. Rechtin as a dental assistant since September of 2010. When not in the office, Courtney enjoys being outside riding four wheelers and spending time with family and friends.

We have been with Dr. Ted for years. He truly cares about his patients and we completely trust him with our family's teeth. Our kids also love going to the dentist because of the quality of care. We have been to other providers in the past and Dr. Ted and his team are the best out there.

I have now had several appointments as they take care of all my issues from not seeing a dentist for 5 yrs. They are patient, careful to not cause pain and Dr. Ted lets you know what he's doing as he works on you. I've had Darren assisting the doctor several times and he's informative and awesome as well. You can't miss at Rechtin Dental - all staff is professional, friendly & accommodating.

The other google reviews are spot on. Great place to get your dental cleaning done. Courtney was very friendly and my teeth were not hurting when she was done! Great experience! A very skilled and competent dentist and staff who are dedicated to making patients at ease and comfortable during procedures and are excellent at pain management. They always make certain patients understand what to expect before and after their appointment. The office environment is professional and calm.

Had another great dental appt right on time and with a super professional hygienist named Courtney. Dr Ted is super nice guy, he's funny to talk with, and, he just expanded his office..more space for his growing business. I proves that if you do a great job, make customers happy, be fair in your prices and have a great staff...your business will naturally grow like Dr. Ted's

I've been using Dr Ted Rechtin for all my dental care for over 20 years. The office is clean above and beyond what you would expect and every patient's safety during our current Covid restrictions is taken very seriously. All of the staff are super friendly and courteous with ensuring you're always comfortable. Courtney is my hygienist and does an excellent job. If you're looking for a new dentist who does it all you need look no farther.

Been here a few times now and they always get me in quickly and the staff are super friendly! I had a lot of questions because I want to get a lot of things done and the dentist went through everything and we went over the best options and made it clear if I needed anything don't hesitate to call and gave an estimate of time it would take for me to get the results I want! Just amazing compared to other places I've been!

I have THE most ridiculous irrational anxiety surrounding anything dental or medical related... every single person here that I've interacted with has been BEYOND amazing and kind.
