Dr. Rebecca Baker, mother of Jax, (love of her life and her most prized role) is a graduate of Leslie County High School, Cumberland College, and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She started her practice in 2003 after graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree.
Rebeccas vision was to establish a private practice in the community without corporate influence. Rebecca started her practice from scratch, dedicating many months deciding what to name her practice. She needed a name that would describe how her practice would be able to focus on the family using todays modern advancements in dentistry. Hence, Todays Family Dentistry was created.
The foundation of her practice was built on the principle of family in every aspect. This included building the practice literally from the ground up. Rebecca and her father, Jerry, constructed the office and her mother, Betty, worked as her very first office manager, making this the true meaning of family practice.
As her practice grew from 2 operatories to 7, private ownership allowed her to select the most experienced, qualified, expertly trained, caring team to work alongside her. This ensured that her and her team would perform modern dental services to the community with the compassion everyone deserves.
Her compassion for others goes beyond the chair and her practice. Rebeccas parents raised her with the belief that there is no greater service than serving those around you. Using those same principles while raising her son Jax, she is very passionate about giving back to her community. Rebecca is very involved in many charitable associations, as well as self-organized services that have personal meaning for her.
Dr. Baker is a member of the Bluegrass Dental Society, Kentucky Dental Association, American Dental Association, and our practice is an Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating. Dr. Baker is a volunteer faculty at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Baker also serves on the Board for Dental Assisting at Bluegrass Technical College.
In 2003, Dr.Rebecca Baker started her own private practice, Todays Family Dentistry, and has continued to proudly serve her Georgetown community and surrounding areas. Over the years, she has individually selected the most experienced, qualified, and caring staff. Each member of our team is expertly trained to deliver quality dental services to our patients with compassion.
Our goal at Todays Family Dentistry is to provide the highest quality dental procedures in a relaxed, calming atmosphere. We achieve this by providing our patients, regardless of age, access to the latest, proven technological advances that dentistry has to offer.

For this reason,our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits.We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.

After having bad experiences elsewhere, I was anxious to try a new place but I'm so glad I decided to give this office a chance. Very professional organization ... best dental experience I have had in a long time. I will spare you all the details, but I never felt any pain or discomfort during my procedure and everyone kept me informed of what was going on at each step of the procedure ... great job team!

I've been a patient of Dr. Baker and her wonderful staff for a few years now; I have never had anything less than a totally positive experience there! The ladies at the front desk are sweet, friendly and helpful with explaining insurance; Kendra is the best hygienist I've ever seen, and Dr. Baker is very thorough, gentle, and she takes the time to answer questions and explain the treatments. I won't go anywhere else, and have sent friends to her as well! Choose this practice; you'll be glad you did!

Got a diagnosis of 15! cavities (old filling replacement) and 2 crowns needed. Seemed like a lot especially since no one took the time to go over where they were in my mouth and why I needed the crowns. So I went and got a second opinion and the other dentist said nothing needed. How is this possible!!!! Now I have a new dentist.

Today's dentistry went above and beyond you get me in and taken care of today. They were short staffed with no availabilities but found time to fit me in for what ended up being an abscessed tooth. They didn't stop there though, they talked to the endodontist multiple times to get me fit in to where I could be taken care of the same day. I will take all of my business here from now on. Thank you guys so much!

Such a fantastic group! Dr Baker is such a kind and patient dentist. I have very bad dental anxiety and she has worked with me, sometimes to extreme lengths over the years! She sees my kids as well since they were just toddlers and they love and trust her! Her staff is also so wonderful!!!

We have been coming to Dr. Baker's for fourteen years or more. It's crazy to think it has been that long! She and her staff are not only warm and welcoming but highly professional and knowledgeable. Every experience over our more than a decade as patients has been the same, wonderful. Also, I'm a mother of three and not only do I enjoy my visits so do they. Side note: I'm a dental chicken and was never a fan of dental visits before finding Dr. Baker. So if you're like me know it will be the best dental appointment you've ever had. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! We love this practice! As for COVID 19: We've come into the office twice since the pandemic started. You can clearly see the precautions they're taking to keep their staff and patients safe but still comfortable. - complete waiting room revamp with social distancing in mind - two exam area entrances/exits -added additional exam rooms -staff is gloved, face shields are worn over double masks, hair is under caps and smocks (not sure what they are called) are over their scrubs.
