Dr. Leo Spyrou takes pride in serving his patients with cutting-edge personalized care, using only the highest quality of orthodontic treatment techniques and procedures, including Invisalign, adult braces, and childrens braces. Dr. Leo Spyroubrings more than three decades of experience as both a dentist and an orthodontist to his patients in Reading and the whole North of Boston area. In addition to a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University, Dr. Spyrou received specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders before earning his postgraduate degree in Orthodontics.
As well as practicing orthodontics, Dr. Spyrou enjoys teaching postgraduate students in the orthodontic department at Tufts, and is committed to staying current with the latest advances in orthodontia for children and adults. He is a member of numerous associations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, and the Tufts Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Hayes was born in New York and spent her childhood and early adult years in Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida, while working full time as an orthodontic assistant. She then made the move north to endure the New England winters where she received her D.M.D degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, she began working as a General Dentist, where she quickly realized she wanted to specialize in orthodontics. She returned to Tufts and received her Certificate in Orthodontics. She maintains active memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Outside of orthodontics, she loves spending time with family and friends, cooking, and spinning (cycling).
Our staff consists of a team of qualified professionals that strive to provide the patient a comfortable experience in our state-of-the-art treatment facility. Each member of our team is very friendly and courteous, always available to answer questions, and very understanding of any special needs a patient may have.

Long overdue review on my ADULT ORTHO experience here. I put off braces for years. When I was finally ready for a(nother) consult I chose Reading Ortho due to the reviews. They do not lie. Dr Sypro was the first Ortho to tell me without hesitation that he could take my complex case AND still give me upper 'clear'/ceramic brackets. I was skeptical of how things would go. It wasn't an easy or quick case and I would lose hope here and there but every visit Dr Spyro would reassure me and tell me it is progressing. If I still whined he would give me an example that an untrained eye wouldn't notice which renewed my hope. Not only is he patient but he is very funny. At the end of 3 years, I had a smile I didn't think was possible because of him and his team. The whole team is excellent, I never worried who I would get at a follow up because they are all rockstars. Obviously I would recommend them to anyone! And when my kids are old enough, they will come here too.

Invisalign with Dr. Spyrou I'm a 40-something year old who is the classic case of having braces in jr. high, quickly losing my retainer, and then realizing later in life the value of having a great smile. If you're considering Invisalign, without question I'd recommend Dr. Spyrou. He and his staff are friendly, helpful, and all around lovely. I found Dr. Spyrou to be professional, informative, and considerate of my anxiety about dental work. I just completed my Invisalign and I'm thrilled with the results. No question, 5 stars.

My 5 years of being a patient here have been the years of my life. Everyone here is extremely nice and welcoming and explain everything in detail of what they're doing. Alyssa made getting me braces off awesome! This is the place to go to get braces because they put you first. I'm going to miss this place!!

For years I'd been debating whether or not to get adult braces, despite numerous dentists, jaw surgeons, and orthodontists telling me it was medically necessary. My initial appointment with Dr. Spyrou was what I needed to move forward and prioritize my health and my teeth. I will be forever grateful for his patience and gentle directness from the initial consult until the very end. Reading Orthdontics is the BEST! Kim is always so friendly and helpful at the front desk! Melissa, the ortho dental assistant and All of the ortho dental assistants at Reading ortho are fun, fabulous and professional. We of course love, Dr. Spyrou! We respect and are thankful for his years of Knowledge and experience in dentistry/orthodontics. My daughter has been a patient there For a few years (as she has a very challenging orthodontic case). Dr. Spyrou, has corrected many of the issues and has made her mouth look amazing thus far! We look forward to when treatment is done. Had we not gone to Dr. Spyrou when we did, she would have not had been able to correct the ortho issue without surgery! We have full trust in his expertise!! October 9,2020 I just wanted to take a minute to thank the staff that worked with my son yesterday. He had his palatal expander installed, and the care that he received was outstanding. On the ride to the appointment, he reported to me that he had been worried about this procedure since "second grade". Although I think that is a slight exaggeration, (he's in 6th grade), he was definitely very worried for a few days leading up to the appointment. The care that he received during his visit was so kind and compassionate. He left the office feeling very relaxed, and confident that his future appointments would be okay. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to explain the process to him, and for making him feel like it was okay to ask questions. This is certainly a challenging time for all of you in the dental field, and I just wanted to express my thanks for your kindness.
