It is a wonderful privilege to be a part of a persons life in so many ways. I appreciate the significance of self-esteem in an adult or developing child, and it is very rewarding to be able to contribute to someones growth, whether it is personally or professionally. I love practicing orthodontics and look forward to coming to the office every day. Each patients smile presents a different challenge, making each day truly exciting. Not only are my patients excited to see the positive changes in their smiles, but I am too! The lasting relationships Ive built over the years with my patients and their families are more rewarding than I ever thought possible.
I received my bachelor's degree from UCLA and attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and served as class president anda member of the admissions committee and executive board council. I continued my studies at Harvard for an additional three years and earned my master's degree in medical sciences and completed my orthodontic residency.
I have successfully treated thousands of patients of every age with all types of bite problems.To keep current withthe latest techniques and advances in orthodontics, I participate in many hours of continuing education throughout the year. Our patients gettheimmeasurable benefit of receiving the most comfortable, efficient, and state-of-the-art treatment, and I believe they deserve nothing but the best.
I was born and raised in California. I love spending time with my family and friends and taking my children to museums and zoos. My wife,Jean Gong, DMD, is also an orthodontist whopractices in Westfield, NJ. When I have time, I enjoy swimming, playing tennis, playing piano, and cooking.

I facilitate our front-office operations, including patient scheduling and billing. It is my goal to make our office run as smoothlyand efficiently as possible. I also try to make our office fun and lighthearted, too. We love to laugh and see our patients smile. In fact, service with a smile is how we like to run things here!
I work chairside with Dr. Kim and perform all the necessary duties to create beautiful smiles for our patients. I also help oversee and maintain our lab, where we make retainers to keep our patients smiles looking amazing. I enjoy talking with our patients and getting to know them a little bit better each time they come to the office. Working in orthodontics has been such a great experience. Seeing our patients smile at the end of their treatment is so rewarding!
I work chairside with Dr. Kim and am also responsible for ordering supplies for our office. I love getting to know our patients, joking around with them, and in general making their experience with us one to remember. The best part of working here is seeing the progress of our patients smilesespecially the end result. Many of our patients feel right at home when they walk in the door, and when they tell us that, I know our team has been successful!
I have two wonderful children, and while we dont have any pets right now, Id love to get a puppy! When I'm not working, I enjoy going to the beach, walking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kim is dedicated to providing the most up-to-date treatments available to his patients. To do this, he is involved with numerous professional organizations. He isan active member of other local, state, and national orthodontic organizations.
Our goal is to create a pleasant and friendly office environment that lets you know you are in good hands. At our practice, you are more than a patient;you are a valued member of the family at our practice. Our waiting room offers comfortable seating and a family-room like atmosphere. You are also welcome to a number of refreshments, reading materials, and our game room. Our friendly staff looks forward to your every visit and will welcome you by name.
Dr. Kim understands that sometimes things come up that cannot wait. This is especially true when you are uncomfortable or in pain. Pain in your mouth and jaw can be some of the worst you experience, and we are absolutely dedicated to relieving that. Dr. Kim has an emergency line, which you have access to as one of our patients. We are prepared to help with your oral health emergencies.

We were recommended to Dr. Kim from my daughters general dentist about a year ago. We arrived at the office and met Dr. Kim and his staff who were all great. Dr. Kim explained that my daughter has a few slight issues that can be cleared up with braces and gave us the different options. They offer monthly payments that are deducted right out of your bank or credit card and are always polite if something goes wrong. You know how you can lose a credit card and forget the businesses that charge directly :) Our appointments are always given during times that work for us with school schedules and after school activities and send you a gentle text reminder which is huge for me. We always are taken on time for our scheduled appointments and never had to wait more than a few minutes for the doctor to come in the room. Their techs are awesome and knowledgeable as well. I can't say enough about this whole team as well as how nice my daughter's smile is becoming with Invisaline. Such an amazing thing!!

Dr. Kim and his staff are absolutely wonderful. Getting braces can be a daunting experience, however, Dr. Kim made my daughter feel very comfortable.
