Dr. Sackos joined our Raygan Dentistry family in December of 2021. A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. Sackos grew up in the Southwest and moved to Texas to complete her undergraduate and post-graduate education. She is a graduate of the University of Houston, which she attended while on a full-ride NCAA Division I athletic scholarship for soccer. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Biology. Dr. Sackos then continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UT Health School of Dentistry in San Antonio, graduating with high honors. While in dental school, Dr. Sackos was awarded the prestigious Award for Clinical Excellence in Dentistry, The Academy of General Dentistry Senior Dental Student award, The Southwest Prosthodontic Society Dental Student award, as well as induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Sackos then pursued a General Practice Residency at UAB Hospital where she received advanced dental training and education in oral surgery, dental implants, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry on patients with medically complex conditions.

Dr. Sackos passion for dentistry is rooted in her love for creating beautiful smiles and fostering meaningful relationships with her patients. She strives to provide excellent dentistry and educate each of her patients on the importance of oral health and the care they receive.

As a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, Birmingham District Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Sackos prioritizes continuing education and providing the best, state of the art dental treatment options for her patients.

Dr. Sackos and her husband, Greg, have lived in Birmingham, Alabama for three years and have two cats. When not in the office, Dr. Sackos enjoys traveling with her husband, running the trails at Oak Mountain State Park, and playing disc golf.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Susanna Pischek (or Dr. P for short) to our dental practice. Dr. Pischek grew up on the Alabama Gulf Coast. She is happily married to Dr. Michael Kase (Maxillofacial Prosthodontist at UAB Kirklin Clinic). Dr. Pischek and Dr. Kase are proud parents of identical twin daughters, Anna and Lydia. She and Dr. Kase are very happy to call Birmingham area home.

Dr. Pischek is an animal lover. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and daughters, extended family and friends, participating in running events, swimming, hiking, traveling, and cooking.

Dr. Pischek completed her undergraduate studies in Chemistry at the University of South Alabama. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Pischek studied French at the Universite de Bourgogne, Dijon, France. She then enrolled at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. Pischek completed her residency in General Practice Dentistry at the Loyola University Medical Center. She is now happily joining Dr. Raygan as an associate general dentist.

Working with patients of all ages brings great joy to Dr. Pischeks work life. She has a passion for children and special needs patients. Dr. Pischek understands that each patient has individual needs and takes her time to get to know patients. Dr. Pischek desires to establish sound, strong patient relationships while providing effective and comprehensive dental treatment.

Dr. Pischek is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Alabama Dental Association, and Birmingham District Dental Society. She serves on the Executive Counsel of the BDDS. Dr. Pischek is also a member of a local Spear Study Club.

Dr. Raygan is passionate about bettering the smiles, and the lives, of those in his community. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, before going on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from UAB as well in 1990. At Raygan Dentistry, located in Hueytown, Alabama, Dr. Raygan works hard to serve the community he has lived in for 48 years. Dr. Raygan purposefully built his practice around his faith, which he is thankful that he gets to share with his patients. His favorite thing about dentistry isnt just the work he does, but he loves the opportunity to work with his team to better the dental health of each patient. When he isnt doing dental work or serving his community, Dr. Raygan enjoys hunting, worshipping with is church, and traveling with his wife of 25 years, Traci, and their two childrenLindsey and Carson.

Dr. Pischek (or Dr. P, for short) has recently joined the team as an Associate General Dentist. She and her husband, Dr. Michael Kase, are parents to identical twin girls, Anna and Lydia. Dr. Pischek has studied across the world, beginning in Mobile and then to France and Chicago. Working with patients of all ages brings great joy to Dr. Pischeks work life.She has a passion for children and special needs patients.She understands that each patient has individual needs and she enjoys taking time to get to know patients. She and Dr. Michael Kase are thrilled to serve the people of Birmingham.

Karen has been a part of the team since April of 2016 as a Dental Hygienist. Her favorite thing about working at Raygan Dentistry is getting to be a part of the great, Christian environment where everyone is treated as family and helping patients improve their overall dental health. When she is not working, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, and designing vintage jewelry.

Brittany has been a part of the team for 6 years as a Dental Assistant, but has lived in Hueytown for her whole life. Her favorite part about the job is seeing and learning different things every day, meeting new people, and also seeing familiar faces from the community. Outside of the office, Brittany enjoys reading, watching the newest scary movie, and spending time with her family.
