Dr. David Rays high energy, passion for orthodontics, drive for perfection, and mission to be at the top of his profession is evident in his unparalleled education, training, and continuing education.

David Ray, DDS, MS has 14 years of college and professional training, highlighted by graduating DDS Summa Cum Laude from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He completed a Masters of Science in Physiology from the OSU graduate school of medicine during dental school, an Oral Medicine residency at Indiana University School of Dentistry emphasizing TMD and foundation for sleep medicine, and a Certificate in Orthodontic specialty training from the original and highly regarded orthodontic program, the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. Ray completed four courses, 50-plus hours, on sleep apnea/sleep medicine.

Graduating OSU College of Dentistry with highest distinction, Summa Cum Laude, Dr. Ray is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary Dental Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and the National Registry of Whos Who.

Dr. Ray maintains active memberships in many professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Foundation for Orthodontic Research (FOR), American Dental Association (ADA), Ohio Dental Association (ODA), Ohio Association of Orthodontists (OAO) ,and Columbus Dental Society (CDS), and is a Life Member of the Ohio State University Dental Alumni Association.

Dr. Ray has extensive exposure to different practice techniques and theories by being an associate three to four days per week with practices in Columbus, Cleveland and Dayton for three to five years while he built his practice in Westerville. Dr. Ray utilized many of these different techniques learned to perfect his practice. Dr. Ray now has more than 20 years of experience creating beautiful smiles.

Dr. Ray believes in a lifelong pursuit of continuing education to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care to his patients. Through continuous review of scientific literature, postgraduate courses, and group involvement, Dr. Ray maintains an innovative approach to advances in orthodontics. Dr. Ray sponsors semi-annual CE for area dentists and dental staff as well.

Dr. Ray participates in Dental Options financial assistance and Dental Connections for troubled children for the city and state Department of Health. He is also a proud supporter of many sports teams, projects, and charities. Dr. Ray is a member of the local service organization Rotary International. He has been on a short-term international mission and on-going local missions for the west side immigrants. He volunteers on several positions in his church.

This office is the state of the art facility located in one of the most beautiful areas in Westerville, on a wooded hillside lot. It is located only minutes from 1-270. The office interior is striking with contemporary, open, bright spaces with extensive windows overlooking the woods! The clinic is set up for parents, family, and friends to sit close and watch the treatment!

Dr. Ray designed this office to reflect our orthodontic treatment: contemporary, cutting-edge, attention to details, and beautiful! The office creates an inviting, relaxing atmosphere where the patient knows this experience is all about them!

Ray Orthodontics is a kids first choice! We feature a 15-game system arcade room with all generations of Nintendo, Wii, Xbox, and Play Stations, along with a flight simulator with a control stick and a racer with a steering wheel. More recently, we have added on line gaming with PS3 and our newest PS4 on a seven-foot kiosk with a 40 HDTV.

Rays cafe features Starbucks coffee and spring water, cyber bar with a computer with internet access and free office Wi-Fi, Ray Bucks for prize and gift cards, Ray Gear for logo stuff, and multiple office contests and raffles and school pizza parties!

After hours, we have a walkout lower level community room with access to the arcade for patients friends and family parties, study clubs, and more. Our patient appreciation parties include the semi-annual pool and ice skating party (our record over 1,700 people for the pool party and over 900 for a ice skating party!) Again, Dr. Rays personality, energy and enthusiasm is reflected throughout the practice and beyond!
