Dr. McKinley remains on the cutting edge of technology, striving to provide the highest quality of dental care available today. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Macomb County Dental Society. He has also served as member of the Michigan Dental Association Peer Review Committee.
This year, Dr. McKinley continued his 12 year tradition of teaching a class to a group of wonderful juniors and seniors at Lutheran High North called Business Character Values. Several of his staff members join him in teaching this class by mentoring a student.
Born in Detroit, Ray is part of a family with a history of hard work, including building McKinley Airport in Fraser, learning to fly solo by age 16, the development of Pine Valley Golf Course in Romeo, past president of the Romeo Chamber of Commerce, former president of the Romeo Kiwanis Club, a delegate to Washington DCs Conference for Small Business, and building numerous dental offices throughout Michigan.
Ray is one of 12 children born to Dr. Otis and Phyllis McKinley, of Fraser. Ray, along with all of his brothers, followed in the footsteps of his father and became a dentist. The McKinley Family has provided dental care in Macomb County and throughout the State of Michigan for over 65 years. Dr. McKinleys daughter, Brittany, graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2011 and is now continuing the family tradition into the 3rdgeneration!
Dr. Brittany McKinley-Holloway provides cosmetic and family dentistry for Shelby Township and the surrounding area. She is the third generation of the McKinley Family to provide complete quality family dental care in Macomb County!
Upon graduation, Dr. Holloway received theAmerican Association of Endodontics Award. This award is presented to the graduating student who has demonstrated outstanding interest and exceptional ability in the field of endodontics. She also received theAmerican Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award. This award is presented to the graduating senior student who demonstrated the greatest clinical proficiency and interest in esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Holloway graduated from Lutheran High North, Macomb, MI, in 1996. She received scholarships in art, soccer and basketball at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI. She graduated from Concordia University in 2001 with her degree in graphic arts. After working for a couple of years as a graphic artist, Brittany came to her dad and told him that she would like to be a dentist.
This required returning to school to complete her undergraduate requirements. Brittany spent the next three years immersed in study, all while working full time in the dental office as an assistant with her dad. After completing the necessary courses, she applied to dental school.
During her undergraduate studies, Brittany met her husband to be, Chris. As Brittany went through undergraduate studies and prepared for dental school, Chris was by her side. He was always patient and understanding, especially during the times when he had a special event or Wings tickets and she could not join him because she had to study.
Finally, Brittany received the news that she had been accepted into the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Class of 2011. Soon after the big acceptance news, Chris proposed to Brittany while ice skating at Campus Martius in Detroit. They were married on August 16, 2008. Chris continued to support her journey.
Dr. Holloway currently resides in Washington Township with Chris and their two children. She is honored to work side by side with her dad and continue the family tradition by providing dental care to the community.

Friendly and professional staff!! Going to the dentist has become a completely different experience thanks to Dr Mckenley who has the most gentle touch! Everyone in the office is super friendly and kind. Tayler also does a great job with our cleaning my 10-year-old really enjoys coming to the office too!

Best dental experience I've ever had! Everyone is so sweet and helpful. The staff is so patient and really addresses all your needs. Taylor is the best hygienist ever. Dr. Holloway is so gentle and efficient while also super friendly. I really love this whole practice.

This dentist office is wonderful for the most part but one thing I asked up front is to be honest and upfront with the billing. When I lost my job in April, I told them that I would be cancelling my dentist appointment in July. They told me to come in and they would give me in house financing and would be no problem. So they told me about the in house financing at the appointment and I asked about what happens if I get coverage from a new employer or get cobra coverage and I was told it would be no problem to switch it over and I have to actually be still pay $200 to be done all for a teeth cleaning. I would've waited for my new insurance or something else. Now I'm out of way more money than I should have! This is primarily why I leave dentist offices!! I'm extremely upset!! Update: they took care of me and I do sincerely appreciate you because I do enjoy your dentistry.

Changing review Read correct suggest Dear Ray McKinley, After meeting with you and you saying it would be thousands and thousands I told Blake I would have to go somewhere else. He said you didn't know costs and he did the billing. He said you took my insurance and I would be surprised how reasonable. He figured everything and said if I would pay upfront it would be 14886.75. Everything was in writing and he said the only way it would be more is if I needed additional crowns which would cost 1000 more or if a tooth couldn't be crowned it would be 1000 less. I agreed and paid upfront. When Brittany went to put in a flapper I said no I am to get a metal partial to which she said this is just temporary you will be getting a nice partial. She removed a tooth chisel and hammering 7 to ten times each root. I had a head ache and vertigo for two weeks and no pain pills which she said she would call in but didn't. Last Thursday Blake told me he canceled Delta and all my money was gone. When I later talked to delta they said he first almost completely drained that account which was almost 1000. They said this was Unethical and horrible and told me what to do. I called the dental licensing board and was told unethical and horrible they sent me papers to fill out. I said first I wanted to ask Ray McKinley if this is how he does business. What has been done one tooth pulled , one flapper ,one tooth crowned ,temporary's on 3 and two fillings. I was suppose to get two metal partials, 8 crowns, 2 fillings and one tooth removed. It is hard enough being 75. Being taken advantage of is very sad. In your book you list 1. Taking personal responsibility in every situon that happens.others in high esteem. 2. Edifying others by affirming their character. 3. Being authentic. 4. Being a person of reliable character. 5. Being humble 6. Being an inspiration to others. 7. Being compassionate, empathetic, and showing love for others. 8. Being other-centered by putting yourself in their shoes. 9. Doing the right thing. 10. Having faith, hope, trust, and courage in your given abilities. 11. Being accountable in your leadership role. Therefore I believe you should let me show Delta what you have done they can say what they approve with you taking their insurance and you can pay me back the difference or you can do the job as stated.

I would like to express my deep appreciation for the exceptional, pain-free dentistry. I needed extensive work done including multiple extractions, bridges and upper/lower dentures and the implants as well as mini implants securely holding the lower denture. I was so fortunate to find Dr. McKinley. He rescued me from a world of despair. He gave me more than a new smile, he restored my belief in " truly caring". And what was the most important for me at the time I found his assessment and proposed plan to "save my mouth" given to me on my first visit to be realistic and affordable! Great extraction experience! Any fear I had about going to the dentist doesn't exist anymore. Never been so happy with a dental office in my life. From my very first visit at the office, I knew that I came to the right dentist. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself. Super awesome staff, so friendly and helpful with their texting system for reminders and confirming appointments. I was so impressed with Dr McKinley demeanor that inspires the utmost confidence by his smile and by his wealth of knowledge, skill, professionalism and firm hold on you that makes you feel confident that you are receiving good, high quality care. His concern for patients, attention to detail and the fact that he never made me feel rushed-even when I knew that he had other patients waiting, was so gratifying and different from my prior experiences with dentists that were so disappointing. Dr. Ray McKinley is fantastic. All the latest technology at a modern, hi tech and comfortable facility. He has created a wonderful dental practice using state-of-the-art equipment and the most advanced procedures that offers great dentistry and outstanding customer service in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. My hygienist Taylor...... first of all is amazing, super duper nice and very professional, she really get in there when she is cleaning my teeth sometimes it hurt but sometimes it feels good.. she is amazing! Dr Holloway is just an amazing dentist she is really caring and super gentle, she knows what she is doing

I did post a good review at first, but changed my review and, also went somewhere else for dental treatment. So, initially I called and made appointment with Dr. McKinley the dad not the daughter. So of course I get his daughter instead. Excuse was ohh he's running behind you can wait or see the other dentist the "daughter." They know no patient wants to wait they'll say yes I'll see the other doctor. I think he only see's high treatment plans with a lot of extensive expensive treatment plans. If I request a certain doctor that's who I want to see . I went elsewhere after that visit. So I did number 13 a filling and I found out it was a bad filling done. So I called carecredit that's how I paid for my filling and told them another office has to redo it I want my money back on that filling they did for me. I was returned some 300 dollars I paid for the filling. Only time I saw the male doctor was the initial exam and that's it. Other two visits we're with the female dentist. Staff was friendly and the hygienist, just with my treatment I was not happy at all. Being in the dental field myself for 16 years I was disappointed. And they are pretty pricey too with just fillings. Yes I get they follow a certain fee schedule, but a bit pricey.

Best Dental Experience of My Life! No need to fear dental work here, the expert touch and comfort I received made all the difference. Can't say enough about how this staff has gone above and beyond especially Taylor, Blake and the doctors. Crank up the gas and relax, before you know it you are done and pain free. Get that million dollar smile, no reason to worry about expenses, they have so many ways to save on services or make it happen and even pay over time plans. McKinley Dental truly changes lives and I am living proof. Fly in and enjoy their VIP treatment while experiencing Pure Michigan. A-listers have been coming here for years and soon you too will understand why.

I've just been here once for a consultation so it's hard to give an accurate review, but I was extremely impressed by this operation. Seemed like all new state of the art equiptment, a very friendly staff and that includes Dr McKinley. I may very well have a new dentist after my next follow up visit. They took my Blue Cross Advantage insurance so I'm assuming they take most all as well.

I have sensitive teeth and had a huge fear of dentist appointments, to the point of waiting several years between appointments until coming here. When I started coming 4 years ago I had crummy gums (1 pocket was 9mm deep) and some fillings that needed replacing, plus I was scared. Donna has made me feel so cared for and important, and with her intensive work and great advice I have a mouth full of health! What a great family-run place, I wonder if the little Holloways will carry on the family business? And the nitrous gas helps the nerves a whole lot, my tender friends. Office is cleaner than you could imagine, the most up to date tools. Couldn't recommend more.
