Dr. Ravi Kaur graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology. She pursued her dental education at Howard University, College of Dentistry earning the Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May 1997. She then continued with specialty training in orthodontics and was awarded Orthodontic Certification in May 1999. During her dental training, Dr. Kaur received many awards for being an outstanding student. In her orthodontic residency, her research focused on Expression of Sonic Hedgehog Gene in the Development of Oral Tissues. Dr. Kaur takes CE credits every year to keep abreast of changes in orthodontics and the latest innovations in technology.

In July 2000, Dr. Kaur obtained board eligible status with the American Board of Orthodontics. She is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Kaur grew up in India and immigrated to the U.S in 1985. She currently resides in Brookeville, MD, with her husband, Dr. Gunraj. They have been happily married since 2002. Dr. Kaur has a special passion for gardening. She also enjoys reading, biking, and exercising.

Dr. Kaur has been in private practice since 1999. Her practice philosophy is to provide caring and quality dental care with a smile. She loves her chosen specialty and cherishes the opportunity to provide a lifetime of beautiful smiles and a pleasant dental experience for our patients.

Dr. Maurice Gunraj attended Howard University College of Dentistry, graduating in 1982. Dr. Gunraj graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a certificate of specialty in endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in 1986. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He was a consultant with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Washington, D.C, from 1996 to 2013. He has been practicing in his specialty of endodontics for 24 years. Dr. Gunraj also served as an associate professor and chairman in the department of Endodontics at Howard University from 1986 to 2002. Dr. Gunraj opened his own modern, state-of-the-art practice in Silver Spring in July 2002. He takes CE courses every year to stay ahead of the most evolving topics in dentistry and endodontics.

Dr. Gunraj has lectured extensively at local, national, and international organizations of dentistry. He has also published many papers in the endodontics specialty. He was the recipient of many merit rewards for academic excellence, outstanding instructor, and excellent clinician. Dr. Gunraj has published in the well-known Journal of Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology, National Dental Association, and numerous other journals.

Dr. Gunraj currently resides in Brookeville, Maryland, with his wife, Dr. Kaur. They have been happily married since 2002. Dr. Gunraj enjoys reading, watching all sports on TV, and doing little handyman projects around the house. He also has a passion for watching The History Channel and historical plays.

Dr. Gunraj believes in providing gentle, caring, and quality services to the patients he treats. He believes in perfection and loves his chosen field of specialty. Dr. Gunraj is dedicated to helping his patients keep their natural teeth with root canal therapy and maintaining the integrity of their smiles.

My family is from the middle East, I was born and raised in Montgomery county. I have a 10 year background of Office Administration, and an Associates degree in Education. I have enjoyed carrying over my past experiences and education into the dental field. I look forward to getting to know each of our patients, and appreciate helping patients achieve a healthy beautiful smile. Aside from being a workaholic, I love spending time with my family and friends.

Where I have the opportunity to work with both Dr. Kaur and Dr. Gunraj. My love for dentistry grew as soon as I joined the team. I enjoy working with patients, helping them achieve the smile of theirdreams.I enjoy connecting with the patients I see daily. Aside from the office work, I also enjoy spending quality time with my family and trying out new food cuisines when I have the opportunity to do so.

I grew up in the Dominican Republic and moved to the united states in 2014. I chose dentistry because Ive always been interested in the teeth function in our day to day life and how much it can affect a person. I have come to love seeing the evolution of a patients smile when they first step in our office for a consult, up until the point where we remove the braces and finally give them their finished beautiful smile.

My name is Paola, my family is from El Salvador, we love to eat pupusas. I have 2 girls. They are very entertaining because they are very active at ages 6 & 7. I am a cat lover. I have 2 of them at home. I've been in orthodontics for a year and a half. Outside of work, I have a lot of hobbies. One of them is cooking. I enjoy spending time with my family and can't wait to meet all of our new and future patients.

I have worked with Dr. Kaur since 2002 off and on. I am a certified orthodontic assistant and certified radiology technician. I love my job because I am surrounded by positive people with positive attitude in a positive environment. My hobbies include reading, spending fun time with my sisters, and being involved with my daughters dance competitions. I am very close to my family.
