With over 150 years of combined orthodontic experience, our team holds the highest level of certification in the state of Oregon. Dr. Ravassipour earned his Masters in Orthodontics from one of the leading orthodontic schools in the nation, graduating in the top 5% of his class.
I grew up in beautiful Wenatchee, Washington and got my Bachelors of Science at the University of Puget Sound. I received my Doctorate in Dental Surgery followed by my Masters in Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Once a TARHEEL always a TARHEEL! I have known that I wanted to become an Orthodontist from age 12 and now I have the greatest job in the world. I get to hang out with kids, teens, and adults, getting to know them and their families, watching them grow, and create lifelong relationships. Seeing how orthodontics change lives and create smiles people can rave about for a lifetime is the greatest reward.
In 2003, I married the love of my life, a rare Rogue Valley native Kelly. We feel very fortunate to be able to raise our two children in this beautiful community. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first visit an orthodontist around the age of seven; however, orthodontic treatment is not exclusive to children and teens, with about one in every five orthodontic patients being over the age of 21. Whether youre considering treatment for yourself or for a child, any time is a good time to visit the orthodontist.
Orthodontic appliances can be made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be bonded to the teeth. Here at Ravassipour Orthodontics we offer clear or metal brackets and Invisalign. To keep braces exciting and interesting for kids, our elastic ties come in an array of colors. Wires are also less noticeable than they used to be, and the latest materials move teeth faster with less discomfort to patients.
An orthodontist is a licensed dentist who after dental school attends a 2-3 year residency specializing in orthodontic training. Dr. Ravassipour was trained at one of the top programs in the country in how to straighten teeth, correct misaligned jaw structure and improve the function of your smile.
Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable; so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.
Treatment time typically ranges from one to three years, depending on the growth of the patients mouth and face and the severity of the problem. Patients grow at different rates and will respond variously to orthodontic treatment, so the time to case completion may differ from the original estimate. The patients diligent use of any prescribed rubber bands or headgear is an important factor in achieving the most efficient treatment. Interceptive, or early treatment procedures, may take as few as six months.

If you have orthodontist needs Rave is the man to see. His dental hygienists are such wonderful gals. Love love them all. Front desk ladies (Sherry) are welcoming, loving, kind, and make you feel like family. Dr. Ravassipour is a dear man and is so wonderful with his patients and parents.

Care is okay. Feels a bit like a car salesman. Biggest issue is SUPER crummy retainer quality. They break fast and then they charge you $200 for each new one. It's a massive scam in that respect. The retainers will seriously break just pulling them out of your mouth. They will also try to do work without asking or informing...filing, etc. It's a little alarming.

2nd round of treatment completed with Rave Ortho! Loved it so much, might do it a 3rd time ;) This team goes above and beyond. My two treatments were spaced out over several years, with a lot of the same faces in the office. Always makes you feel good when the staff stays the same. Dr. Ravassipour does a great job. Hes fun with kids and even makes adult cases fun, while explaining everything thoroughly. GO SEE THEM! :)

My family used Rave Orthodontics when I was in high school which seems like a life time ago. My parents spent thousands and that was a waste now. They didn't put a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth. I was naive and young and thought my teeth didn't need it when in fact they did because I wasn't informed. When I got older I realized they made a mistake but it was too late. I went to another orthodontist and was told it would take thousands to correct the mistake but I can't afford it. The orthodontist I went to said he doesn't see why it wasn't put in and that my last orthodontist didn't do what was necessary. I don't smile die to it and gave up on it all and accepted that I probably never will.
