Dr. Chengraduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he received hisDoctorate of Dental Medicine. His determination to stay on top of dental trends led him to further his education at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he served as a Chief Resident in the general practice residency.
Dr. Chen has worked in Philadelphia, Princeton, and more recently has started at Raritan Valley Dental where he continues to offer excellent service to Central New Jersey. He has developed a reputation for providing patients trust and quality in their care.
As an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. Chen has remained ahead of modern dental techniques andhas accumulated over 500 hours of Continuing Education. He is currently a candidate to receive his Fellowship Award. In addition, Dr. Chen is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Academy of Osseointegration. Furthermore, he is certified with Nobel Biocare Implantology and a provider of Invisalign.
Dr. Steven Reff uses his extensive experience to provide the highest level of surgicalcare in a gentle, compassionate manner. He received his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. While there, he graduated at the top of his class and was honored by his faculty by being inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honors Society. He also served as President on a variety of committees including the Dental Schools Global Outreach Program and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery study group.
Following dental school, Dr. Reff completed his cosmetic and surgical-based training at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital. Upon completing his training Dr. Reff began treating patients in private practice. He was also invited to take a position at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine teaching postgraduate candidates and future dentists.
Dr. Reff is proud to be joining Dr. Chen at his office in Raritan. When he is not practicing dentistry or attending professional obligations, he enjoys hiking with his Yellow Lab, fly fishing, and relaxing with his wife Allison and their two children, Mackenzie and Preston.

Very friendly and reasonably priced for those who do not have insurance. The Dr. Is very patient and really takes the time to explain everything. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Dr Chen and his staff are the Best! I've been going for over a year and recently had a wisdom tooth pulled. It was quick and painless and Dr Chen was so gentle. Ava and staff are so welcoming and kind. I highly recommend Raritan Valley Dental.

Raritan Valley Dental is the Ritz Carlton of dentistry. Dr. Chen's service exceeded my expectations from the front office to the chair. Dr. Chen and his staff are AMAZING! I had an emergency where I needed to be seen for a toothache and my primary dentist couldn't take me because they were closing but I was so lucky to find Raritan Valley Dental and they took me no problem. Dr. Chen was so professional in explaining to me what was going on and answered all my questions. The procedure was painless and the easiest dental experience I've ever had. So if you're looking for a great dentist, look no further because Dr. Chen and his staff are the perfect for the job!

They explained every step in the process and gave smart tips on how to maintain my teeth on my own based on my specific needs. So glad to have this amazing team in my neighborhood.

Thank you Dr. Chen! I wish the reason I visited his office was just for a routine cleaning. Unfortunately, my dental hygiene has been lacking and i had to undergo 2 extractions. He was ever conscious of the level of pain I was in or lack there of, thank you for that! Had them pulled in what seemed like only 2 minutes! He and his staff were professional, caring and efficient! The only thing that was lacking was the lecture about oral hygiene! (That alone earned him the 5 stars!) So let this be a lesson to everyone, take care of your teeth, but if life happens, give Dr Chen at Raritan Valley Dental a call.....I even got to keep the teeth!

I couldn't be more thankful for Dr. Chen and his amazing staff! I was recently in a car accident and needed emergency work done on my front two teeth and with a quick google search I came across his office. Without even looking at reviews, I went as it was nearby. After reading some of these reviews now, they are all so very true!!! They are very patient, walk you through all the steps and very detailed with everything they do. I couldn't be more pleased with the work and how they were able to work with my schedule. Dental offices can be a very uncomfortable place for many people, me included but with them, it was definitely a different experience! Customer service is everything and they really go above for their clients!!!! I highly recommend this location to everyone!

I don't remember how I found Raritan Valley Dental, but I was glad I did. Both me and my son don't have strong teeth. My son was always embarrassed by his teeth and didn't smile much. As for me, I was in my late fifties and I only had one dentist during my life that I thought was good. Dr. Chen changed that. Dr. Chen listen to my issues and talked to me about myself and my son. He examined us both and laid out his plans on how to treat our oral health. It was very much a conversation with input from everyone. Our procedures were long and several visits but involved minimal pain. In the end we are both extremely happy, my son smiles big now and my oral health is better now than it has been for a long time. Dr. Chen always took time to explain x-rays and sometimes equipment when I asked. I live in Ohio now but plan to keep Dr. Chen as my dentist.

This is the most gentle dentist that I have been to. He is very patient and gentle with my children as well. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone in the area.
