Raritan Bay Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

453 Amboy Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095

My office started 1985 in Hopelawn, New Jersey, after a couple of years as a solo practitioner I merged my practice with Drs. Donner and Solimine. Dr. Donner retired and I stayed in the practice of oral & maxillofacial surgery with Dr. Solimine. After Dr. Solimine retired I continued the practice that was started in 1952. My practice stayed in Perth Amboy and Old Bridge for 30 years. In 2015 my practice was moved to a more modern and expanded practice in Woodbridge, New Jersey which is located 2 blocks from where I went to High School. Our practice has evolved over the years, it has gone from oral surgery and exodontia to oral and maxillofacial surgery to oral and cosmetic facial surgery and finally to Raritan bay oral and facial surgery. Our office in Woodbridge has two wings: one dedicated to oral surgery and the other to facial procedures. Our facial procedures include various treatments from neurotoxins to facial implants to facial surgeries. With god willing, I plan to be in practice for many years.

Raised in Fords, New Jersey, attending fords junior high, and Woodbridge High school. Upon graduation from high school I stayed local, attended Rutgers College and received a degree in biology, then a masters degree in biochemistry. Following my stay at Rutgers college, I went on to attend UMDMJ and receive my dental degree in 3 years. Following my dreams, I completed a residency in Oral & maxillofacial surgery. It was a joint residency studied at jersey city medical center and UMDMJ. Essentially I have not left the garden state. Personally I am married with 5 children, 3 boys, and 2 girls, 2 cats and 1 dog. In my spare time I like to listen to music from the 60s to today. My hobbies include: motorcyles, scuba diving, backgammon, collecting memorabilia, coin collecting, collecting baseball cards, gardening, dancing, going to the gym, skiing, crabbing, and politics. My favorite sports teams are the Jets, Yankees, and Devils.

Love Dr. Flugrad and his staff. He did all of my wisdom teeth extractions so efficiently and I healed up great both times I went in. His assistant and ladies in the office are also so sweet and professional.

BEWARE of charges and insurance fraud We went for tooth extraction and the office took upfront check of $4000 although we were fully covered by insurance. The insurance paid them in full. Its more than 8 months of chasing but no response from his office.

What an amazing staff and a Dr that goes above and beyond. Dr.Flugrad is the most comforting, funny, and attentive doctor I've ever had the pleasure of being a patient. I highly recommend this facility. Every time I walk in the atmosphere feels like cheers. Everyone knows my name and the smiles abound.

Went to this place for consultation and what a rip off. Dr Nick is the biggest scam. He charge me $125 for nothing and also take my insurance card for doing nothing. After 2 hours waiting he said he is not professional and I have to make another appointment to get my tooth removed. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Biggest scam.

I made an appointment, I found d the office on my health insurance website. They called and asked for my dental insurance info and said everything was good. I called the day of the appointment 4 times to confirm the address no answer. I drive to the address I had and it was incorrect. I speak to the answering service and they say I'll get a call back. I google the number and get a different address 15mins away. Again can't find the office and call again getting the service. This time they connect me to the office and I get a 3rd address I'm too far from so they rescheduled me for 9am the next day. Now I left work early and have to go in late the next day but I really need something checked out. I get there 9 am and am told I have to pay 250 just for a consultation no one even doing anything. Why was this not told to me when I gave my insurance info twice. Ridiculous. I have health and dental insurance there is no reason for me to pay 250 out of pocket and no one is even preforming a service. They knew what they were doing not being upfront over the phone.
