The practice of Raptou Family Dental provides comprehensive general and family dentistry with an emphasis on individualized care, prevention, and cosmetic enhancement. Dr. Raptou and his long-term staff members ensure patient health and happiness through excellent one-on-one communication and a true passion for patient care.
As a family and cosmetic dental practice, we offer all aspects of preventive care, periodontal management, cosmetic enhancement, and restorative services. This includes dentistry for children, orthodontics, TMJ/TMD and sleep apnea treatment, and Invisalign clear aligners.
Our team treats each patient as an individual. We listen closely to our patients to determine what they seek, what we can provide to help them achieve it, and then deliver care as efficiently and comfortably as possible.
Heather is the newest member of our team. Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Heather graduated from Youngstown State University with her Dental Hygiene degree in 2014. In 2016, she moved to Columbus with her Fianc, Kyle, and their dog, Bella. Heather is hard working, and enjoys meeting new people, and always looks forward to establishing and growing relationships with her patients. In her free time, she is busy planning her upcoming wedding. Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends, staying active, and trying new things. She has been a great addition to Team Raptou.
Carma joined our practice in June of 2019 as a dental assistant. Having previously been a teacher in China, as well as a massage therapist, she knew she would enjoy working one on one with people to improve their quality of life. Carma and her husband Tyler have two young daughters, Evelyn and Alice, who are a constant source of joy, entertainment, and challenges. When not keeping up with the girls Carma enjoys spending time and maintaining close ties with family and friends.
Tara has worked for Dr. Raptou since graduating from The Ohio State University in 2007 with a BS degree in Dental Hygiene. She is hard working, committed to our practice, and loves our patients. One of her strongest features is her ability to present possibilities of what our practice can do for our patients, from Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry to restorative procedures. Tara enjoys meeting, building, and maintaining relationships with everyone she meets. Since working at our office, she has acquired many life long friendships with patients and co-workers that she is extremely thankful for. She and her husband Jim have three children: Paige, Nora, and Ethan. When they aren't completely exhausted and catching up on sleep, they enjoy making new memories and traditions with their children, spending time at the lake, and cheering on the Buckeyes! In the summer of 2017, she and her family relocated to the Cincinnati area for her husbands job. While you will not see her face every day, she does her best to fill in for dental hygiene in our office when needed! Why?? Because she loves being a part of Raptou Family Dental! :)
Sarah has been a dental hygienist for over eleven years and graduated from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. Her favorite part about being a hygienist is getting to know her patients while she provides exceptional care. Sarah lives in Canal Winchester with her husband Scott, their dog, Indy, and their cat, Irene. Not only is Sarah passionate about her patient's oral health, but she loves all things related to healthy living. She recently graduated from Purdue Global University with a degree in Health and Wellness and is going to school to become a health coach through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. You can find her hanging out with friends and family and biking through the Metroparks of Columbus with her husband in her free time. She also loves hiking, yoga, gardening, working out, and cooking healthy meals.
Continuing education is a natural extension of my desire to be able to provide patients with the best that I can offer while maintaining an edge of excellence to my practice. I am active in the Seattle Study Club and the Central Ohio Dental Forum, both of which provide an abundance of educational opportunities, allowing me to grow both professionally and personally. Additionally, I teach on various dental topics to dental professionals.
Ever since I was a child, I loved working with my hands and building things. Now as an adult, that interest has grown into woodworking projects, construction, and a love for classic British sports cars.
Most of my handywork hobbies surround my home, family, school, and church activity. I also participate in Grace Brethren Church ministries and take part in dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic.
There is a life time of learning in the field of dentistry, always more that I can offer my patients to ensure that I am continuing to deliver a superior level of care. Continuing education and professional study clubs like Central Ohio Dental Forum have allowed me to further hone my knowledge and experience of the dentistry I provide.
Over the years, I have been able to go on several dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic, and would like to continue to participate in providing dental care abroad. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, exercising, and reading.
