Becoming an orthodontist was one of the greatest achievements of my professional career. The process started at the University of Maryland, where I completed my bachelors degree. I moved to Boston, where I conducted academic research at Boston University and obtained a masters in public health.
For my dental school training, I attended the University of Pennsylvania, where I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. I completed my orthodontic specialty training at New York University. At the same time, after successfullycompleting all the required exams I became a Board Certified orthodontist, one of the highest levels of achievements in our field.
My passion to achieve excellence and provide the best care for my patients is my primary motivation in attending continuing education courses. I studyadvances in techniques and technologies in depth, in order to provide patients with current, proven care options.
I am truly amazed by the difference my team and I make in peoples lives. When treatment is complete, people are happy to smile and confident to pursue and achieve their dreams. Helping patients maintain their beautiful smiles is one of my main priorities, so I stay in touch with patients for years after treatment is officially finished.
Each patient is special to me and to my staff. We work really hard to provide outstanding care, and usethe best materials, new equipment, and up-to-date techniques. I am honored and humbled to work with such a wonderful, experienced team. Each member loves to come to work and is always giving 110% to our patients. Being a father of two little boys, Dean and Alex, keeps me busy at home. My wife, sons, and I never miss apple picking in the fall, festivals throughout the year, and picnics at the park. The Mystic Aquarium, Lake Compounce, and the Connecticut Science Center are some of our favorite places to visit. We love living in Connecticut and are thrilled to be raising our family here.
Romina has been a dental front desk assistant for more than five years. She is pleasant and friendly, and strives to provide the best experience for all our patients and families. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
Anastasia loves to give back to our patients and families. Shes talented, meticulous, and very innovative with our social media communications and rewards programs. Anastasia completed her Bachelor of Arts at Mount Holyoke College.
Anastasia is responsible for monitoring and properly allocating our patient rewards and chooses prizes that patients love! Shes also in charge of our social media accounts and marketing efforts and enjoys engaging with patients, families, and the public.
Leah brings to our office years of experience with insurance billing and submitting claims. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree at Western Connecticut State University. She also completed a post-baccalaureate in health sciences at Central Connecticut State University.
At the office, Leah is in constant communications with insurance companies to ensure that our patients receive the full value of their benefits. She enjoys seeing happy smiles when patients complete their orthodontic treatment.
Venus has worked as an orthodontic assistant for more than eight years. She completed her dental assistant training at Porter and Chester Institute. Each year she attends continuing education courses to stay current on developments in the field and maintain her orthodontic certification status.
Venus assists with impressions for Invisalign patients, bracket placement and band fitting. and performs her favorite task: assisting to remove brackets to reveal the finished smile! She is also responsible for maintaining our on-site lab and sterilization area.
Ron is very friendly and ensures that our patients feel comfortable and relaxed during visits. Hes been a certified dental assistant since 2005 and completed his training at Prince Tech. Ron received his bachelors degree from Eastern Connecticut State University
Jessica loves helping to deliver quality care to each patient, especially teaching everyone how to maintain good oral hygiene. She completed her dental assistant training at Asnuntuck Community College and holds a bachelors degree in social work. Also,Jessica attendedthe Tunxis Community College andsheis a registered dental hygienist.
As we start treatment, and patients seehow their appearance is changing, they begin to change. Theyfeelbetter about how they look and their self-esteem starts to grow. As care progresses, each person blossoms: They begin to walk taller, feel more secure in their appearance, and confident around others. By the time were finished, the patient is a new person, confident and outgoing, and sharing a smile that engages others.
