Lingual or sometimes known as invisible braces go behind or on the lingual side of the teeth. With the braces on the inside of your bite, they are undetectable by passers-by. Studies have shown that those who wear lingual braces experience less pain in their first month of treatment compared to those who wear traditional style braces.
When you first get any type of braces you will have to make some lifestyle changes. Youre going to have to learn how to clean your teeth differently with the braces attached. It is likely that you will only be able to eat soft foods until your mouth is used to have the new brackets installed. Due to the fact that the brackets, wires, and elastics are on the inside of the teeth, patients have reported that they have to make fewer lifestyle changes with lingual braces than those wearing labial braces. Anything pressing on the front of your mouth like playing a wind instrument will be far more comfortable with invisible braces.
Lingual braces have been shown to be far more effective than clear aligners at certain tooth movements. The fact that the braces pull on the back of the teeth allows for them to make adjustments to your bite in ways that clear aligners just cant. The position of the brackets on the back of the teeth allows them to move teeth quickly and efficiently.

I've always wanted to make my teeth straighter, but I was hesitant because of how long you have to wear braces. My bottom teeth only had minor crowding so I didn't think it was worth getting 18-month-long braces at my local dentist. However, I did some research and stumbled upon Dr. G's work. I did a consultation with him and he suggested he could straighten my teeth in 4 months! I was blown away by the speediness and the good reviews online. Dr. G was always so patient with me and was receptive to my feedback. When I noticed my bottom teeth were sliding, he knew exactly how to fix it and took immediate action. He's very knowledgeable in his work and has a solution for everything. Though he said he could straighten my teeth in 4 months, he did it in 3 months!! I'm in love with the results. Thanks, Dr. G! Kathy, the office manager, was the absolute best. My experience wouldn't have been as smooth without Kathy. She is the kindest and most thoughtful person ever. When you walk into the office, she is always so energetic and genuinely wants to get to know you. Though the braces process can be stressful at times (since your teeth are constantly shifting), Kathy reassured me that it is normal. She is on top of everything. She is time-managed and knows precisely when to send out reminders. I will miss Kathy!! Courtney was so helpful and caring! Age 22, 25, and 29 were all attempts of me looking into straightening my teeth (crowed, overlapping teeth). I went to The Braces Place, Candid on Newbury Street and a dentist practice located on Columbia Rd. By the time age 30 was approaching I felt more obligated to correct my smile. I went back and fourth on correcting my teeth due to pain, cost and ultimately the length of time it would take for me to get them off at my age. I started to get comfortable with the idea of NOT going through with it. Two to three years ago I was introduced to Rapid Braces and Dr. G via online search. The consultation with him along with the six months or less had me sold, but the price made me focus on Candid over traditional braces. 2020 I decided to give Rapid Braces a shot again! They had all off my previous information on file and Dr. G said he would honor my original cost price from my consultation I received from him years prior! TALK ABOUT A BLESSING. I WAS SOLD! I HAD TO GO THROUGH WITH HIM NO ONE ELSE. If your scared of the unknown like I was, or cost is making you not change your life I recommend to go to RAPID BRACES anyway! I wish I did sooner. Dr. G is an absolute magician. He estimated about 6 months to straighten my upper and lower teeth. After 5 months, the upper braces were off and one week later, the lowers were surprisingly off too! Dr. G is a perfectionist, and I was genuinely blown away by the final touches during the splinting session at the end of the treatment. Kathy is also delightful and very helpful in scheduling and figuring out financing. She is funny, kind, and she tells it like it is! I always looked forward to my visits because of how warm Dr. G, Kathy, and the entire staff are, and I never had to wait long before being seen. Well worth the money and I highly recommend Dr. G to anyone considering orthodontics. It doesn't get better (or faster) than this! Thank you so much!!

At age 25 I decided to finally fix a huge insecurity - my horribly crooked teeth. I accepted that I would likely have braces on until I was 27, but knew it would be worth it. When Dr. Georgaklis told me I would be done in 6 months I couldn't believe my ears. Sure enough, I completed my bottom braces in 5 months and my top braces in 6 months. This is an amazing option if you would prefer fast results (who wouldn't?), and Kathy at the front desk was always awesome about keeping me in the loop with scheduling, especially when Covid hit and appointments had to be changed. Seriously life changing!

Dr Clifton Georgaklis is an amazing dentist and artist! He was able to fix my teeth in more than half the time that other Drs said they could. He was understanding, compassionate, and a superb clinician. I can't thank him enough for transforming my smile - from slightly crooked, to replacing missing teeth, and then putting the finishing touches on the teeth before taking the braces off. He uses permanent retainers, which means my teeth stay in place. His whole team are caring and understanding, flexible to my work schedule and really just amazing. I was so lucky to have come across his website when I was doing research to correct some serious issues with my teeth. And I did my research. Rather than 4 years with braces as an adult, he was able to do it in a matter of months. Thank you Dr Georgaklis for changing my smile, confidence and health. I seriously can't recommend him enough.
