I love being an orthodontist! I knew early on I wanted a career that could make a positive difference in peoples lives and in the community. Theres no better way to improve someones self-esteem and confidence than with a beautiful smile.
Since graduating my orthodontic program in 2005, I have worked as an associate in several practices to gain experience before opening my own practice in 2008. Orthodontics is a profession that is constantly changing and evolving, to stay current with the latest improvements and technologies, I attend several continuing education courses each year, which allows me to provide my patients with the best advancements in orthodontic care.
I grew up in Durham Connecticut and am very excited to be practicing in my home state. While not in the office, my life revolves around being a supportive father and husband. I love riding bikes with my kids and spending the warm summer days at the beach. I personally enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, running, traveling, and volunteering at my favorite charity The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.
Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Our son has been going to Raney's for over a year and a half. He is 14, just got his braces off and loves the staff and Dr Raney each and every visit. That says a lot when your child leaves happy and says everyone was nice each and every time! Thank you!

Would recommend Dr. Raney to anyone who is looking for Orthodontic services. I had Invisalign for 10 weeks and could not be happier with my results. Everything was explained in detail & the staff were extremely affable I believe a job well done deserves recognition. Thank you!

Dr. Rainey dealt with us a few years ago & as some life challenges were unexpected, he still honored his word with us being referred by Dr. Jennifer Baer:-) We are greatly appreciative that he remembered us, kept his promise and cared about our daughter as his new patient! He explained everything in detail to our daughter and told her if she wasn't satisfied at the end, then we'll do what is needed to ensure her complete satisfaction!!! Thank you kindly Dr. Rainey for your kindness Brandy Bouvier-Stillman!!! You have to be the best because we saw one of our daughters best buds come as far away as we did to work with you as our orthodontist:-) March 2021; Added comment; as Shelby just had her braces off and added the Invisalign's, her teeth look FABULOUS! Thank you kindly to Dr, Rainey & staff following exceptional protocol during Covid guideline, "you sure CARE for your customers and extremely on the same page!" Dr. Raney is by far the most kind, sincere, straight forward person we have met in the orthodontist/doctor world ever. A patient/ parent can completely trust that the care you are receiving is top notch! We are VERY happy that we went with Dr. Raney. Old fashioned person to person service... completely professional leaving a patient/ parent feeling like the right choice was made!

Would recommend Dr Raneys office to everyone It's relaxed and everyone here is friendly They have a great relationship with the patients especially the teens Have had 2 of my boys go through braces, and my youngest will start soon They are accommodating and helpful with making payment arrangements or helping with the insurance

Very professional, friendly and accommodating. Both my daughters were patients here for braces and continue to be for check up etc. The staff is beyond approachable and friendly. Everyone is very willing to work with you on schedules and cancellations etc. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Dr. Raney is professional and knowledgeable. The whole office goes above and beyond in every way. And my kids teeth look amazing!!!! I would definitely recommend!!!
