Dr. Randy Raetz was born and raised in Lockport, New York, which is just north of Buffalo, NY. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Rochester, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He went on to the University of Buffalo for Dental School. After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at University Hospital in Syracuse, New York.
After his residency, he became assistant director of the dental program at University Hospital in Syracuse. In 1996, Dr. Raetz left Syracuse for Rochester, NY, where he began working for the Rushville Health Center, in Rushville, NY.
In August 2004, Dr. Raetz opened up his own practice, located within the Westfall Park Medical Center. Prior to this, Dr. Raetz worked at another dental practice in Henrietta, at St. Johns Nursing Home, at Industry School in Rush, NY, and the Finger Lakes Migrant Health Care Project.
Dr. Raetz received his Fellowship degree in the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2008. He was awarded his Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry in July of 2016. Dr. Raetz also remains very active in organized dentistry. He continues his involvement in the following organizations:
Christine is our eyes and ears to the world. More than likely, she will be the first person you speak with on the phone or see when you walk into the office. She is a recent newlywed! She joined Dr. Raetzs team in 2005, after a short stint at the University of Rochester Alumni Association. She is active in the local Elks Lodge and enjoys games of darts and horseshoes. She loves spending time with her husband, Greg and her two stepchildren, and traveling to the Caribbean. She is an avid cat person and has a lifelong subscription to Cat Fancy magazine.
Mary Jo, a resident of Henrietta, has been working with Dr. Raetz since 1997! She is married with three children, two of whomare in college at the current time. She enjoys treating patients and loves children. She spends her time out of work doing step aerobics and listening to 80s music. Most summers she can be found at her summer home in Cape Vincent in the 1000 Islands region working on her killer tan. Mary Jo was once the winner of a Bass fishing tournament in the 1000 Islands!
Maureen is a resident of Henrietta, where she lives with her husband Tom. They have three children, all of whom are currently in college at the same time. She has worked for Dr. Raetz since 2005. The office redhead, she seems to have the majority of our red-headed patients for some reason. Moe enjoys traveling to the Caribbean and Mexico during the colder months, but during summers she is at her family camp in the Adirondacks. She has been chased by so many black bears up there, she should be lunch by now!
Sue is one of Dr. Raetzs dental assistants. A lifelong resident of Webster, NY, she enjoys both the gorgeous Rochester summers and our very snowy winters. She is happy to be a grandmother! An avid soap opera watcher, Sue loves prime time series such as This is Us and Scandal. Her hobbies include needlepoint, knitting, and jarring pickles. She is an expert cheese roller, and has traveled extensively to participate in cheese rolling tournaments.

Dr. Raetz and staff are wonderful. His skills are quick, professional and the entire team goes out of there way to make you comfortable. The replacement crown feels better in my mouth then the previous one.

It's pretty simple, if you're looking for a dentist there's only one to consider, Dr. Raetz. Dr Raetz and his team are easy going, accommodating and just phenomenal at what they do.

UPDATE: Well, four years later and surviving a pandemic - But Dr. Randy has only grown and gotten better. My hygienist Mary Jo is simply phenomenal. Not to mention Christine in the front office, on top of things, professional with a great personality. Since 4 years ago Dr. Randy has helped me with extensive crown and rebuilding work - never what I'd call fun but Dr. Randy makes it totally doable and as pleasant as possible. 6 stars if it were possible. --------------------------------------- I had really negative experiences with dentist as a child and avoided any dental care unless absolutely necessary. When it finally became necessary I chose Dr. Randy Raetz. His staff, his demeanor, his professional abilities are beyond excellent. I credit everyone in his office with helping me overcome my fears. Kudos!

I chipped my tooth on Sunday left a message Sunday night and was contacted the next morning at 7:05 on the dot. They saw me that day after the phone call and fixed my chipped tooth. Extremely fair pricing. Dr. Raetz is such a great dentist he was extremely nice and very talkative. I felt very comfortable and will recommend him and his staff to anyone I know.

Seriously great service! The laid back office atmosphere really calmed my nerves usually brought on by a dental cleaning. My hygenist, Gina, was very accomidating and informative of my current dental health. Dr. Raetz was a true professional! Can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait for my next appointment! UPDATE: This GUY!!! I had to get all the work he gave me redone. My new dentist questioned the man's license!! STEER CLEAR

This is a fantastic, highly recommended dentist's office. I had not gone to the dentist in over 10 years, which is a dumb thing to do (I was in my 20s and would go back and scold myself if I could). After doing lots of research, I settled on Dr. Raetz's office, and was extremely happy with my experience. there. My awesome hygienist and Dr. Raetz made me feel very comfortable as they took care of my teeth, and I will definitely be a regular patient there now. You should too!
