Dr. Robert Karl is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his BS (Bachelor of Science), DDS ( Doctor of Dental Surgery) and MPH (Master of Public Health ) degrees at The University of Michigan. Dr. Karl was a Harvard Clinical Fellow 1990-1992, sponsored by the US Department of Veterans' Affairs and Harvard University.
In 1994 Dr. Karl established Rancho Las Palmas Dental Care in Rancho Mirage. Professionally, Dr. Karl is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the TriCounty Dental Association and is an active participant in Continuing Education both academically and clinically.
Dr. Karl has been active in the Desert community charities since 1994. He has served as a Director and Treasurer and Volunteer of Pegasus Riding Academy for the Handicapped, and as a member of the Rancho Mirage Trails Commission, and has actively supported the Aids Assistance Program, Desert Aids Project, Desert Samaritans for the Elderly and Gay associated Youth.

Always a great and fast experience at Dr. Karl's office. Polite and efficient staff made a trip to the DDS worth looking forward to. There can be no other staff and DDS dedicated as Dr. Karl and his office personnel.

Dr. Karl's office staff is exceptional. Marlene is the best at painless cleaning. Doreen is great at scheduling and working with insurance. Dr. Karl is simply the best dentist I have ever had.

I've been going to Dr Karl for over 10 years. He's a miracle worker. So many dentists told me that they couldn't help me. He said he could and he did. I moved away from the Coachella Valley some years ago. The only reason I come back is to have Dr. Karl work on my teeth. He keeps up with the latest technology in his field, he works with outstanding oral surgeons, and he has a top notch support team behind him.
