Ranches Family Dental - General dentist in Eagle Mountain, UT

Dr. Baldwin has always been interested in becoming a dentist; one of his lifelong heroes was his little league coach and his childhood dentist and finding that health services was something that sparked his interest, dentistry just naturally became where he felt he belonged. His desire to help people continues to flow through his practice today:

Dr. Baldwin has enjoyed working in several wonderful offices, but has always had a desire to open his own office where he could focus on the patient experience and in offering true family dentistry. Dr. Baldwin is proud of his staff at Ranches Family Dental and appreciates the environment theyve established on behalf of their patients.

After hours Dr. Baldwin enjoys hanging out with his family and loves a good baseball game, particularly one involving the Red Sox. A little-known fact about him is that he used to ballroom dance at BYU he toured and performed all over the world with their ballroom dance team. He even taught university courses in Ballroom Dance at BYU as a student instructor for 4 years. So ask him to show you some moves!

Super good experience here. The receptionist was polite and really helpful in calling our (not insurance...) And figuring things and explaining it to me before I had a major bill on my hands. The hygienist was very thorough (she called it OCD...which is a plus for a hygienist!) She was friendly without being fake. The dentist was very generous in letting me finish my appointment and cleaning, etc but just charging for the x-rays because of the issue with the dumb insurance. I definitely recommend!

The receptionist Kristie is the rudest person. Always have an ugly attitude when I'm calling in to make a payment or to reschedule a appointment. Because I am a parent and puts my kids schedules before mine, Kristie always has something ugly to say when i call in to reschedule to a different day. Supposedly Kristie says that Ranches does not allow payment plans and is always required to pay in full. Baldwin definitely needs to get a new receptionist before she ruins his reputation.

The receptionist at this office is the rudest, most snooty person I have even dealt with. She literally told me to go find another office and hung up on me. This happened today (Aug 4) at 1:00 p.m. I am wondering if the dentist at that office realizes that his receptionist accepts or rejects clients based on what attitude she is currently in. This morning I called their office and asked if they could see my child due to severe tooth pain (unfortunately my insurance does not cover a pediatric dentist). She said she would check with the doctor and get back to me. Of course, 4 hours went by and I never heard back. I called them again to follow up. She said the dentist cannot see my child until next Wednesday at 1. I explained that as a single mom that works full time, I cannot do 1. I also said I did not appreciate being ignored for hours only to be told my child cannot be seen. The receptionist immediately got incredibly rude, she yelled at me that I am not cooperating and that I need to go find another office to help me. Then she hung up. So here I am - my child is in pain, and I am in disbelief that people can actually act this way.

I don't usually do reviews but I was really blown away with how amazing the staff was. I called to make an appointment as a first time customer and was told they were almost 3 months out at the moment but that they would try and find something sooner. Not 2 hours later I received a call saying they were able to squeeze me in a few days from when I called and the lady I was speaking with was really helpful and friendly. When I arrived I was a little annoyed because the receptionist had a lot of attitude and complained about how so many people were calling but I get it. I've worked for busy places before and felt the same way but still shouldn't be expressed in front of customers. When I got back hollie took care of me and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and that I understood everything and I was extremely satisfied with how she treated me. I will definitely be back

They are fantastic. I have a really hard time getting numb. At previous dentist I have felt a lot of pain through out the procedure. Needless to say I was very nervous about coming in to get a root canal done. They did an amazing job and I didn't feel a thing. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great experience.

Had a terrible experience here. When scheduling my initial cleaning and new patient exam, I mentioned that I was pregnant and needed to be scheduled before I delivered my baby. When I went in for the cleaning, they informed me that they could only do a cleaning, not x-rays or a full exam. I wish they would have told me that when I initially scheduled. They told me to call once I had delivered and I could schedule an appointment where they would do x-rays and fix my cavity. When I called to schedule again, I explained I wanted an appointment where they diagnosed and fixed my cavity. Shen I arrived, they told me they could only do x-rays and would need to come back AGAIN for them to fix it.. My husband took the day off to watch the baby so I could go in for my appointment, so that was VERY frustrating. And on top of that, the dentist had NO concept of privacy. I could hear his entire conversation with the patient he saw prior to me because he talks so loud. Then when he came and talked to me about my treatment plan, he was talking incredibly loud. I guarantee anyone else in the office could hear what he was saying. Felt very unprofessional and inconsiderate of privacy. Will NEVER go back here.

I never post reviews but my experience here was so terrible. I decided to try the ranches out because it was closer to home and i was really optimistic, boy was I disappointed. Dr Baldwin was so unprofessional. For being the only patient of two people in the office I was treated like they didn't have time for me on both of my visits there. On my second visit after I had scheduled for what he called "a comprehensive exam" he proceeded to tell me that every tooth in my mouth was beyond repair and I needed a crown on every single one. He then proceeded to quote me $40,000 for all the "work" I needed. I asked about financing and was laughed at and told "they don't have the overhead for that amount of work". He also just kept saying "do you understand what I am saying to you?". I called my husband in a panic and in tears because something didn't feel right and he told me not to do anything until we got a second opinion. It also took me calling the office three times and my dentists office calling several times to get them to finally send my X-rays over for a second opinion. I went back to my previous dentist and while yes my teeth need some work, my dentist quoted me $4,200 (you know just $36,000 cheaper than Dr Baldwin quoted). My dentist was just flabbergasted that Dr Baldwin came to that conclusion and I am so glad I got a second opinion. Overall was not a good experience and we will never be going back. Be wary when he quotes what work you need and I would suggest if something feels off, get a second opinion.

What a wonderful experience! I have never had a more calm, helpful, patient dental office experience. Dr. Baldwin was awesome and everyone was kind and helpful. I felt like my concerns were listened too and my feelings mattered. I highly recommend Ranches Family Dental.

Ranches family dental was amazing. The dentist was very honest and explained things to me so I understood and even offered to send pictures of my teeth to another dentist I also see out of state. My hygienist was super nice and I was comfortable around her and during my cleaning. I never felt pressure to get anything extra done and felt they were honest and kind all around. I've had some bad experiences in other dental offices and I'd highly recommend ranches family dental!

We were pleased with the care we received at Ranches Family Dental. Dr. Baldwin and his staff were full of smiles, friendly, and open. We were also very appreciative of Dr. Baldwin's bedside manner. He is thorough and efficient, but speaks to his patients on an equal footing. He is honest, listens well, and happily answers clarifying questions. We highly recommend them!

I was in town for a trip from Houston, TX and had a concern about a sensitive tooth. Since I was also due my annual exam, the office got me right in and taken care of. The x-ray process, with Jake, was quick and nearly comfortable (when does that ever happen) and the cleaning with was wonderful! The hygienist, Elli, talked me through each step and shared her concerns with my bad flossing habits (I had a bad experience with a hygienist as a child) without making me feel like a total slouch! She also helped me set realistic goals for being better at my tooth care. Overall, my appointment there was phenomenal. They were very understanding of my anxiety and worked with me when I was feeling a little too much. The office as a whole was very welcoming and friendly. Hands down the BEST dental experience I have ever had. If I'm ever in town and need a teeth cleaning, I will certainly be returning. Can I give them 6 stars?
