Originally from Goldsboro, NC, Dr. Jennifer Karen Hardesty attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. She then attended New York University College of Dentistry in New York City where she received a Certificate in Clinical Research and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After completing her doctorate program in 2009, Dr. Hardesty returned to Eastern NC and practiced in Jacksonville and Surf City.
Dr. Hardesty is dedicated to providing the best care for her patients and aims to make them feel as comfortable as possible. She especially enjoys seeing children and giving them a positive outlook on dental care. She spends many hours in continuing education classes every year and is currently taking courses to become a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the world's largest dental implant organization. She is a member of the American Dental Association and NC Dental Society. She is also the former Vice President of the Cape Fear Dental Study Club. Dr. Hardesty also volunteers her services to provide dental care for patients at NC Mission of Mercy and St. Marys Health Center in Wilmington, NC.
My dental career began over 42 years ago, and I have spent the past 25 years happily working alongside our doctor while providing awesome patient care. I have always enjoyed working with the public and making a difference in the health of my community. Here, I am able to do both of these things. I try to make each dental experience as enjoyable as possible, whether I am comforting a patient during a procedure or kidding around with a patient as they leave. I love all our patients. They are awesome!
I have been married for 39 years to my husband, Rudy. We have two daughters, Rebekah and Rachel, and four grandchildren, Coby, Cayleigh, Cimber, and Cendall, who are the light of my life.I stay busy watching them play sports all year round, and spending time with the rest of my family.
I've always known that I wanted to work in the medical field even as a young child. I never imagined I would be a dental hygienist, but have no regrets. I am a 2007 graduate of GTCC and have been practicing hygiene for almost 12 years. I love being a hygienist and helping my patients achieve and maintain optimum oral health. I establish a personal relationship with each of my patients through routine cleanings, radiographs and exams. Every person that sits in my chair is treated like family.
Living here for my entire life has given me a unique perspective on our patients needs. I love being able to build personal relationships with my patients in the community where I grew up, and it is always my goal to help provide the best dental care possible. I do this through regular cleanings, taking X-rays, and providing education and treatment recommendations. I feel very fortunate to work here. I graduated from GTCC in 2000 and have been employed here in Ramseur since 2006.
Ive been married since 2000 to my high school sweetheart, and we have been blessed with two boys who are very active and keep me on my toes. I enjoy being involved in my local church, sport activities, and traveling with my family.
I have been employed in the dental field for over 18 years and I enjoy working with patients and helping them understand the importance of their treatment needs and maximizing their insurance benefits. I love to spend time with my husband and my family.

I contacted Ramseur Family Dentistry because of a severe toothache. They were able to get me in immediately, took excellent care of my needs, and provided answers and guidance throughout the process. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would . I haven't been to the dentist in years due to simply being absolutely terrified of the dentist from bad past experiences. I needed 2 small fillings & I started having a panic attack. Kim & Dr. Hardesty were both extremely attentive to my needs & immediately sat me up, asked me what they could do to help, brought me water & waited for me to calm down to ask what I wanted to do . Not once did I feel embarrassed or rushed make a decision on whether I wanted to continue or reschedule. I decided to continue on as I was already numbed up & they both informed me of every step that was coming next & cheered me on through what only ended up taking about 20 minutes! I arrived feeling scared & uneasy, & I left feeling very thankful from this pleasant & comforting experience! It all really does just depend on who you choose to be your dentist. Thank you to Kim & Dr. Hardesty again & thank you to the whole crew!

I had my first appointment today due to a lost filling in my front tooth. Dr. Hardesty, Kimberly my Dental Hygienist and the rest of the staff were professional and very friendly. I left there with a Beautiful Smile and a X-ray/Cleaning Appt in just 4 days! I couldn't be happier!

Excellent experience, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Most Dr. Office now treat you like cattle push you through the line. Not the case here. Great patient care and took time to listen.

Front desk staff, hygienists, and dentist are all extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional! They don't make you feel like "just another patient", nor do they try to rush through procedures to get you out of the way for the next patient. Definitely the best dentist office I've ever visited! I highly recommend!

Based on reviews visited for emergency lost filling. The services rendered where exceptional. Everyone was most helpful. I was so impressed I scheduled my next cleaning and got the same professional treatment. I have since referred my wife for a consultation and was not disappointed. I love this place... I am a new patient and was referred by my nephew. Dr Hardesty is very thorough and she takes time to discuss your individual needs. I call her Dr. Painless. Lol. Crystal is so helpful and tries to make your experience easier. The entire staff makes your visit a good experience. I have found my dentist

I searched for a provider from the dental insurance website and was directed to an Asheboro dentist. After calling and being told it would be June before I could be seen (it is November now), I revisited the website. Next on the list was Ramseur Family Dentistry. I promptly looked for reviews on google, etc and thought it was worth a try. Not only were they able to fit me in quickly, the staff there are all so friendly. And the hygienist and dentist are very thorough. They are working with me to resolve my dental needs in a very timely manner, while maximizing my insurance for my benefit. What a great find!
