Dr. Ramsay was born in Austin. He grew up in a military family and lived all over the country, including Michigan, Mississippi, and Delaware and even overseas in England. For his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Ramsay was accepted into dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and earned his doctorate degree in dentistry in 1994. After working briefly as a general dentist in San Antonio, Dr. Ramsays studies then led him to The UT Health Science Center in Houston, where he earned a masters degree in orthodontics in 1998.
Dr. Ramsay has been practicing orthodontics in Austin since 1998. He assumed the practice from Dr. John R. Coats, a well-known and respected orthodontist in Austin since 1968. Dr. Ramsay enjoys spending time with his two children: a daughter and a son. Dr. Ramsay also enjoys traveling, camping, and hiking.
Being an orthodontist has been very rewarding for Dr. Ramsay. He feels continually blessed by his patients and his role in their lives. He has especially enjoyed supporting events at many of his patients schools, such as the Doss HOwl, Hill School Carnival, Murchison Fine Arts Festival, Westwood High School, Anderson high School, and the Lampasas Badgers, which have enabled him to give back to the community. Quite patient oriented and whole office is pleasant. After braces years ago and now with my girls having been thru them. I was a bit nervous to go back to braces after so many years 40++ . Didnt know your bite could change so much. Confident all will be better than ever.

I feel like Dr. Ramsey gives excellent orthodontic treatment. Very friendly staff. My grandson and I think Dr. Ramsey is the best. He has made his office very con-vid safe by adding additional protocols and equipment to keep his patients safe. Don't let co-vid keep you from making an appointment.

Dr. Ramsay's attention to detail and giving you the best experience is par to none. Both my son and I got braces. I just got partial top to fix my two front teeth. My son has has a full mouth of braces. I love the result and can't wait to see what my son's results will be.

Dr. Ramsay and his team are amazing. By far the best experience I've ever had for oral care. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. You can tell Dr. Ramsay takes pride in his work and did a great job with my bonded retainer replacement. Pricing was also very reasonable. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Dr Ramsey and his team have been so accommodating. Before I came here I had a huge fear of any dentist or yet alone an orthodontist! Their care is superb and truly patient focused. I'm blown away at how nice they were, it's not scary! It's a beautifully clean office and the staff are the most gifted and caring individuals.
