The team also provides sedation dentistry, ensuring children and adults with dental anxiety can access the treatment they desperately need without feeling anxious or afraid.

In addition, the team offers a full suite of general, preventive, and restorative dentistry services, including CEREC same-day crowns, All-On-4 dental implants, childrens dentistry, dental bridges, crowns, traditional dental implants, emergency dentistry, veneers, teeth whitening, and oral surgery. The team also offers wisdom teeth removal, root canals, periodontal treatment, and diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorder.

The team at Ramona Family Dentistry approaches oral health problems using an integrative, holistic approach. Whenever possible, they use conservative, noninvasive methods of treatment to prevent tooth decay and gum disease, while improving their clients quality of life.

In years past dentists had to rely on their own eyes and review analogue film to manage any type of dental procedure. Today, many dental offices rely on digital imaging to strategically plan cosmetic dental procedures from start to finish.

Patients want to find dentist offices that utilize digital imaging as a way of ensuring that they are getting higher quality care. This is one of the fastest growing technological areas in the business, giving offices with digital imaging technology a significant competitive edge.

Dentists have been embracing the use of digital imaging as a way to diagnose dental problems for years. This includes any method that is used to capture a film image of the teeth that can help the dentist get a better look at their problem so a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan can be reached.

  • A dentist can take multiple images with a digital machine while exposing the patient to 60-90 percent less radiation than a traditional X-ray machine. The specific amount of radiation that the patient will be exposed to will vary, based on the type of machine that is used.
  • In many cases a cosmetic dentist will rely on digital imaging because with this technology the images produced are more comprehensive, which allows the dentist to create covers or treatment plans that will fit the a patients requirements allowing for an easier transition once the teeth have been treated.
  • Those that are familiar with traditional imaging technology in dental offices will find that digital images can be taken very quickly, with images being processed in just a few seconds as opposed to the few minutes a film X-ray takes to develop. This can cut down on patients wait time in the office and cut down on the time a patient needs to pose for the picture to be taken.

Most people that visit the dentist are familiar with the motorized brushes and other tools that are used to clean the teeth. These tools are responsible for a majority of the work done at the dentist office, so having high quality tools is essential to providing the care that patients will need.

As a pediatric dentist we understand the need to have a variety of electric handpieces that can be used on different patients. A wide range of tools can be used to suit different sized mouths, with a single goal to maximize the efficiency of the cleaning while minimizing discomfort in patients.

There are a variety of electric handpieces that are used in dental offices today. Different heads can be placed on a motorized unit to address the needs of the patient, as the procedure moves forward.

A general dentist will use different tools to inspect and clean your teeth throughout your visit. Electric handpieces will typically have a variety of speeds that can be used to ensure that any excess plaque or other material in the mouth is sufficiently removed while ensuring that no damage or irritation is caused to the teeth or surrounding tissues.

  • Older models were known to create carbon dust that would eventually wear down the brushes, minimizing their efficiency. Newer models often focus on designs that are easy to clean, minimizing the amount of carbon dust they produce and making it easier to keep the unit clean so there is no build up over time.

I got in on short notice due to a broken crown. I was out with a brand new perfect crown in a couple of hours. The office is well staffed, very clean and very high tech. I will go there for my dental needs from now on.

I do not like doing surveys but wanted to share my positive experience at Ramona Family Dendistry, especially with my most recent experience completing my dental implant work. I left the office very happy, still can't tell I had the implant. Very happy!

A bit of miscommunication caused a delay in my getting an appt to replace a crown. Almost 2 weeks to get in... And a 2 week wait for a part. Some records of mine were apparently lost when the practice was sold about 3 years ago.
