As a graduate of Marquette University, Dr. Bana has continued his education for the past 25 years ensuring he is bringing the best of the best to his patients. He promises excellence and does the work to make sure he delivers on that promise.
Dr. Andrew Brattain was born and raised in Miami, FL and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School (Class of 2008). He graduated from the University of Florida in 2012, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. He then moved to Boston and graduated from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2016 with summa cum laude honors.
Dr. Brattain and his wife Danielle began their professional careers in Tampa, Fl. While in Tampa, they welcomed their first-born baby girl Olivia. This past year, they decided to finally move back home to Miami and are now expecting the birth of their baby boy.
Dr. Brattain is very excited to join Dr. Bana and the amazing team at Miami Sedation and Cosmetic Dentistry. He believes first and foremost in the importance of building a strong relationship with each of his patients. This creates a foundation that allows for personalized treatment to achieve the best patient experience and oral health possible. Through various forms of education and experience, Dr. Brattain constantly stays up to date with the latest advancements in dental treatment and looks forward to utilizing these with all his patients.
Araceli has been assisting Dr. Bana for 15 years and has over 30 years of experience in the dental field. While her job is assisting Dr. Bana perform procedures like dental implants, her career has been defined by her kindness. She believes taking amazing care of people is her calling.
Delmis is the queen of paperwork and thus stress relief. Patients dont want to navigate complex insurance systems; they just want to get healthy and know their benefits have been maximized. Delmis takes care of people to make sure they can take care of their health.
Judith is an educator. Her role in the office is teacher of all things oral health. She is gentle and sincere and wants nothing but the best outcome for her patients. Lourdes is the engine of the office. She makes sure all the numbers add up so patients can receive the best care possible. Her behind-the-scenes efforts affect every person in the office. Veneers are thin porcelain shells, custom made to create the smile youve always wanted. Dr. Bana will first prep your teeth by etching them down. Then, he will affix each veneer to the front surface of your natural teeth for a straight, white, beautiful smile.

Instead of messy strips or more time wearing whitening trays every day, Zoom! allows Dr. Bana to achieve the brightest white possible through a stain release acceleration technique. First, we buff away any surface stains then coat a protective barrier over your gums. Next, concentrated whitening gel is brushed onto your teeth and a bright light activates the oxidation process. 15 minutes later, we rinse the gel away and repeat the process 2-3 more times until your teeth reach the desired shade.
If youve thought about getting a smile makeover or having other cosmetic treatment done, teeth whitening is an excellent place to start. In many cases, its the only procedure that our patients need. But if not, it can easily be combined with options such as composite bonding, crowns, white fillings, veneers, and Invisalign.
If you need slight adjustments to your smile or would like to camouflage imperfections, composite bonding is an excellent option. Dr. Bana can fill gaps, correct chips and gaps with a tooth-colored composite resin material. The composite is perfectly matched to your natural tooth color and artfully erases any deficiencies you might see.
