Dr. Ralph Shepstone graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1986. Based on academic and clincal performance as well as character, faculty members elected him to the honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. In addition to a dental degree, he has Bachelors Degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Illinois.
Dr. Shepstone is committed to excellence. He and his staff attend extensive continuing education, and his techniques and equipment are state of the art. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.

Shannon has been in the dental field since 1989. She started as a dental assistant and then went on to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene. Shannon attended Southern Illinois University and graduated in 1996. She has been a part of our dental team since 2001.
Mary, our assistant, has been in the dental field since 1988. (She claims she started at the age of 10!?) She joined us in 2009. Her father was a dentist, and she loves making sure that people feel comfortable, have fun, and leave our office with beautiful, healthy smiles. Dr. Shepstone is one of the best dentists Ive seen, his office is beautiful, and the staff is the nicest Ive worked with. I am so happy to be part of this team. Out of the office, Mary enjoys being with her husband, friends and her dog. She likes working out, people,and life.
Joyce has been our business coordinator since 1986. She lives in Glenview and has four married children, and ten wonderful grandchildren ranging in age 22 years old to 7 years old, and of course, they are all patients of Dr. Shepstones. She enjoys travelling, theater, walking, and spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren.

I have been Dr.Shepstone patient for over 25yrs, he has always been there for me when I needed dental care! His staff are wonderful, Shannon, is a Hygenist, I look forward to seeing her she does such a good job cleaning my teeth, she's gentle and thorough.Joy is the receptionist, she is kind, friendly and efficient. Mary, I don't know her title, she assists Dr. during procedures, she very gentle and good. I was just in the office recently and was looking around and thinking how neat and clean the office is. Obviously I'm very please with Dr. Shepstone and his staff.

I have seen Dr. Shepstone since 1987. I was one of his first patients. His work is in a league of its own. One time he was out of town and I had a cracked tooth. I had to see another dentist and he was most complimentary about the quality of Dr. Shepstone's work. Dr. Shepstone's office staff is highly professional. Shannon, the hygienist, has been with him for years and has showed me how to prevent any trace of gum disease. Joyce, the administrator, is pleasant and a wonderful people person. If you want the best, search no further.

Many years ago I had the good luck to receive an unsolicited recommendation for Dr. Shepstone from a co-worker. Since way back then, I have confidently recommended Dr. Shepstone to relatives and friends, all of whom are still his patients. He's the best!

I don't often write reviews; but believe that if anyone is deserving of one, it's Dr. Shepstone and his staff. I first started coming here in 2019 after being with a few other dentists throughout my youth. Having many past dental experiences has given me a healthy dose of appreciation for Dr. Shepstone's bedside manners, honesty, and personality. Connie (hygienist) and Mary (Dr.'s assistant) are also terrific and so thorough during both cleanings and procedures. Overall.. I'm so glad I finally found a dentist for life! I now live an hour away, but still make the trip here. Highly recommend!

Dr. Shepstone and his staff have been wonderful to our entire family for nearly 15 years. In addition to the excellent dental care we receive, we are always treated with kindness. Our family loves swapping camping stories with Dr. Shepstone each season. He always takes extra time to help our young children understand each procedure, ensuring they are comfortable and a part of the process. We moved nearly 9 years ago, but still make the 40 minute drive because we cannot imagine another dentist for our family.

I've been going to Dr. Shepstone since 2006 after my sister referred me there because her best friend worked there. Dr. Shepstone and his staff have always been professional, knowledgeable, fair, and friendly. I always recommend him to people in need of a good Dentist. I can actually say, I don't mind going to the dentist, :)

My wife and I and our children started with Dr. Shepstone in 1987. He is still our family dentist. He truly cares about his patients from dental health to personal well being. This is unusual in health care providers of any kind today. We consider him a family friend. Ron Wajer

Dr. Shepstone is the best. He is very qualified, honest, caring and professional dentist. My family have been seeing him for almost 10 years now and we have consistently been 100% satisfied with the quality of his dental work. Furthermore, he is very patient and always explains what he is doing and makes the experience pleasant. Whenever my kids are nervous about anything, Dr. Shepstone and his team would always take the extra time to make sure they are comfortable before moving forward. Joyce in the front office is also very professional and accommodating. I would recommend Dr. Shepstone to everyone. He does a great job keeping my family's teeth healthy and strong.

I can't imagine a better dentist than Dr. Shepstone or a more welcoming place than his practice. I have received amazing care and walking into that office is like coming home - people know your name, remember your needs, and truly care about you. Dr. Shepstone is simply the best dentist. A bad experience with a prior dentist made me feel anxious about dental care, but Dr. Shepstone's knowledge, experience & demeanor immediately put me at ease. He fixed a really complicated tooth for me, and is great (thorough & efficient) with the more routine procedures too. Shannon & Mary are super friendly, careful & professional. Even Joyce, at the front desk, is nice & very organized. The entire vibe of the office is warm & welcoming, and I'm confident my mouth is good hands!

My visit was excellent - a friendly welcome upon arrival, a timely start and a thorough check up. It might seem odd to say but it's always a pleasure to go to THIS dentist - - Shannon and Dr. Shepstone's are great!
