I love Orthodontics! Where else can you witness someone who is shy, quiet and self conscious, become happy, outgoing and self-confident. What an opportunity. For me, Orthodontics has always been about this transformation.

In 1982, Dr. Raineri was thrilled to be invited to join the premier Orthodontic practice in Central New York. His teacher, Dr. Donald H. Baxter, was one of the pioneering fathers of the Orthodontic specialty. Dr. Raineri was inspired because he created just spectacular smiles. Later Dr. Raineri became a Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Rochester. His other job was to teach orthodontists the principles and practices of maximized esthetics. Since 1946 to the present, this has been the primary clinical mission of our office- Just Spectacular Smiles.

Over the years Dr. Raineri has developed a unique combination of mastery. Formerly an NCAA All-American swimmer, he later became a certified strength and conditioning coach. Currently, he holds advanced Black Belts in martial arts and enjoys long distance running. He holds a masters in neuro linguistic psychology. His research interests are in the interaction of physical appearance, cognitive function, and self-esteem. He has served as consultant to the department of plastic surgery at Upstate, Johnson & Johnson, and the US Olympic Committee. All of these contribute to our special way of Orthodontics- not only do we create beautiful smiles, we also create beautiful human beings.

Being an orthodontist is an amazingly rewarding profession! Im afforded a unique opportunity to work with patients from all walks of life over an average of two years under our care. I learn so much from these patients as they become an integral part of our orthodontic family. I love seeing how their smile, and more importantly, the individual, blossoms over this time frame. At Raineri and DiCosimo Orthodontics, we pride ourselves on providing a fun, safe, and family-centered environment and Im grateful to be a part of so many amazing patients lives.

Dr. DiCosimo was born and raised in Manlius, NY and is a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School. He attended the University of Rochester for his undergraduate education, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with distinction. He went on to study dentistry at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. In 2015, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree graduating Magna Cum Laude. He remained at Boston University for an additional three years while completing his Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics specialty program, graduating in the spring of 2018 with a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD)/Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) degree. He is a current member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), and the Fifth District Dental Society.

Dr. DiCosimo has been around the profession of dentistry his whole life as his parents operated an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in Syracuse, NY for forty years. He was able to spend time working in their practice as well as shadowing various other dental professionals in the area. In his time with local orthodontists, Dr. DiCosimo observed the natural bond these orthodontists had with their patients, how much they enjoyed providing treatment to their patients, and how these patients genuinely enjoyed their visit to the orthodontic office. These experiences helped seal the deal for Dr. DiCosimo in pursuing orthodontics as a career.

In his spare time, Dr. DiCosimo enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Alissa, and his chihuahua Louie. He is also an avid Buffalo Bills and Syracuse University sports fan! He is happy to be back in Central New York, providing excellent orthodontic care to this amazing community.

I was born in Syracuse, NY and have lived around the area all my life. I graduated dental assisting school in the year 2000. I have worked as an orthodontic assistant for over twenty years. I love working with people and helping them feel better about themselves. In my free time I enjoy fishing and spending time with my family.

I have been an orthodontic assistant at our office since 2002. I love working with people and really enjoy watching our patients transformations from start to finish. In my down time, I enjoy hanging out and traveling with my husband and two sons, as well as spending a lot of time at the ice rink watching my two boys play hockey.

I have worked in orthodontics since 2012. I graduated college with an associate degree in science from OCC and later received my certification in dental assisting. My favorite part about orthodontics is seeing the confidence a straight smile brings to a patient. Outside of the office, I love spending time with my family and friends.

I have been in orthodontics for thirty-eight years. I started out as a clinical assistant and for the last twenty-six years I have been the treatment coordinator for our practice. Ive seen a lot of amazing transformations in those years and a lot of beautiful smiles. I spend most of my free time with my grandkids and children and also love pizza and doing yoga.

I have worked as the receptionist at our orthodontic office for five years. I love greeting our guests with a smile each time they come through the door. I am always available to take care of your scheduling and account concerns. My motto is to always remember the little things that count in life.
