What can you eat? Lets talk about what you shouldnt eat! For the first day or so, stick to soft foods. Avoid tough meats, hard breads, and raw vegetables. Before long, youll be able to bite a cucumber again. But youll need to protect your orthodontic appliances when you eat for as long as youre wearing braces.
When you get your braces on, you may feel general soreness in your mouth and teeth may be tender to biting pressures for 3 5 days. Take Tylenol or whatever you normally take for headache or discomfort. The lips, cheeks and tongue may also become irritated for one to two weeks as they toughen and become accustomed to the braces. We will supply wax to put on the braces in irritated areas to lessen discomfort.
To successfully complete orthodontic treatment, the patient must work together with the orthodontist. The teeth and jaws can only move toward their corrected positions if the patient consistently wears the rubber bands or other appliances as prescribed. Lack of cooperation following instructions and damaged appliances lengthen the treatment time so please follow instructions.

Rad did braces for both of my sons and I couldn't be more pleased with their smiles. We've referred our family and friends to them. The doctors, staff and techs are all amazing! I highly recommend them. Next up is my daughter and I am sure we'll have the same results.

Ordinarily I'm not the type to leave a review but I am so hurt, humiliated and disappointed that I feel as though I have no choice at present. I want to prevent any others from suffering the way I did. At my last visit to Rad Orthodontics College Park in July, I informed my assigned dentist that one of my brackets was broken and that I needed it fixed. My dentist refused to fix it even though I had expressed to her that the tooth was shifting and causing me constant pain and discomfort, in fact she denied that the tooth was shifting and attempted to undermine and negate what I saying by presenting pictures that was taken at an old appointment. The lady totally disregarded my complaints and made me leave the appointment with the bracket still broken, promising to fix it at my next follow up appointment. Today I went in for my follow up appointment and she again attempted to make me leave with the broken bracket!!!!!! Why??????? Luckily one of the doctors intercepted before I left and happened to see that the bracket was broken! IN MY PRESENCE the dentist denied knowing that the bracket was broken and was acting all surprised. At this point I was outraged and disgusted that she would attempt to lie about this. Finally, the doctor was able to repair the broken bracket. Upon checking my file, we (the doctor and I) were reading that the dentist even put in the notes that she had fixed the broken bracket at the last appointment which WAS NOT TRUE! Really? Falsifying medical notes/documents? This cannot be the service that I'm paying for. My 10 minute appointment had now turned into 50 minutes, making me late for my shift and YES I am at work taking the time to leave this negative review because I felt disrespected and treated less than human. To make matters worse, NO ONE APOLOGIZED to me before I left the appointment. If you are young and looking for great service where you would be treated with dignity and respect, this is not the place! I do not recommend!

I have been VERY happy with my experience at Rad Orthodontics, with everything from the front desk customer service and the ease of the treatment, to the care and attentiveness of my dentist. Highly recommended! Also, before I came to Rad, I wasted a lot of money on Candid-brand trays that I ended up not using after set #2, due to my intuition and common sense convincing me that it was a bad, expensive mistake. With Candid, it was impossible to reach anyone to get even the most cursory advice and they have never once even followed up with me to see how my "treatment" was going. If they had, I could have told them that my gums and face (!) were feeling strangely numb. My Candid experience convinced me that the lack of professional care and risk to my healthy teeth were not worth the savings in cost. Now that I have the best care at Rad Orthodontics, I have seen firsthand the difference in quality between Invisalign treatments and my Candid experience. Your teeth will last a lifetime if they are given the best treatment, and with Rad you will get superior care and 100% higher quality aligners with Invisalign. Don't make the same expensive mistake I did. Start off with Rad and Invisalign and get to your happy state sooner! Thank you, Rad Orthodontics!

My experience at RAD Orthodontics was excellent today. I am a returned patient from many years ago to obtain orthodontic repair work, and they have not skipped a beat. The staff are very professional and kind. Dr. Mehdy Rad new exactly how to advise and service me for my repair work. I highly recommend RAD Orthodontics for orthodontics services.

I had a pleasant experience at the college park location. Everything was pretty simple and straightforward and the dr answered any questions I had. I got Invisalign and would do it all over again if I could.

I had the best experience in getting my braces put on. It was quick pleasant and painless. The dental tech talked me through the process and I didn't feel much pressure. She also took great time to talk me through what I should expect for the next couple of days. The swag bag was great as well.

Rad orthodontics is always very friendly and professional. They are ready for you when you get there and there is little waiting. The medical staff is very patient and explanatory to the teenagers about the were and care of their invasilign. still working on the papertowels/napkins, this is a big dilemma!!
