Dr. Oates decided to become a dentist in the second grade and never looked back. She obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Georgia and graduated with her DDS (doctorate of dental surgery) from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Oates worked for a year at a pediatric clinic in Chicago and for several years in private practice in both Franklin and Columbia, TN. Her varied background allows Dr. Oates the ability to give you the most effective treatment possible.
Dr. Oates volunteers her time in the community to help those who are less fortunate. She participates regularly in Interfaith Dental Clinic and also donates her time with Loaves and Fishes, an outreach program that feeds the homeless.
Dr. Oates is married to a Navy veteran, and they have two beautiful girls, Olivia and Annie and her beautiful boy Teddy. In her spare time, Dr. Oates loves to bake, spend time at the family beach house in Oak Island, NC, and hike with her family. They are avid college football fans.
Dr. Waits received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Science from Florida State University and was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. She was born in Greensboro, NC but grew up in beautiful Destin, FL. She and her husband fell in love with Nashville while her husband attended Vanderbilt University for graduate school in 2011 and love being a part of this community.
Dr. Waits is committed to establishing trust with each patient by listening carefully to their individual needs so she can deliver the highest quality of care in a compassionate, painless environment. She is constantly looking to expand her skills and is a member of a number of dental organizations to further this goal, including Spear Study Club, Southern Womens Dental Study Club, and the Nashville Dental Society.
Dr. Waits is married to an Auburn/Vandy graduate. She has a son, Crew and a little girl on the way due in April! In her free time, she enjoys fitness, spending time at the lake, walking outside with their dog Tucker, being active in her church, and serving the underserved in our area through volunteering at the Interfaith Dental Clinic.
Dr. Lilly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University in Chicago, IL and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, followed by completion of a one year Advanced General Dentistry Residency program.
Dr. Lilly subsequently served in the United States Air Force at Eglin AFB in Ft Walton Beach, FL for three years. She then became an associate dentist in a large group practice in Tallahassee, FL. Eventually, she and her husband relocated to Franklin to raise their two children, Katrina and Adam, and to be closer to family.
Dr. Evan Cox was born and raised in Campbellsville, Kentucky. As a son of a dentist, he gained an early appreciation for the positive impact his father could have on the lives of his patients and throughout the community. As a result, that example led him to pursue a career in dentistry. After high school, Dr. Cox attended the University of Kentucky, where he received his degree in Business Management and Administration. He was then accepted to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree and graduated with the highest distinction. After that, he continued his education and completed his specialty training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he received his Master of Science in Dentistry (MS) and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Outside the office, Dr. Cox enjoys working out and staying active. He loves doing anything outdoors, especially golfing. He also loves watching and playing sports, traveling, and taking every opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
