Outside of dentistry, Dr. Matta enjoys watching movies, trying new restaurants, cooking, and biking the fantastic trails. She loves spending time with her friends and family, especially the newest members - her adorable daughter, Mariel, and lovable dog, Butter.
Holly graduated from the Iowa Central Community College Dental Hygiene Program in May of 2013. She was born in Billings, Montana and grew up in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She married her husband, Kaleb, in September of 2016. Holly has an adorable son named Finn and two rescue dogs, Henry and Sully. Holly and her husband moved to Adel in December of 2019.
In her free time, Holly enjoys watching movies, creating art, listening to music and outdoor time with her family, especially walking or biking on the trails. Holly enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level and educating them on the importance of oral health and how it effects overall body health.
Jessa grew up in Dallas Center and attended Dallas Center-Grimes schools. She also went to Vatterott College for Dental Assisting, graduating in 2011. She is married to her husband, Deak, and they have four sons. She also has two dogs, a blue heeler named Stella and chihuahua named Ernie. She lives in Minburn.
Outside of work, Jessa enjoys spending time with her family,. They like to go camping and travel to warmer locations. Jessa's favorite thing about dentistry is helping others, improving other people's lives with our knowledge and skills.
Stephanie is our chairside dental assistant and the person you will often see working alongside Dr. Matta. She helps prepare the treatment room and helps to make patients comfortable during treatment, among many other important responsibilities.
Stephanie is originally from California. She has been in the dental industry for 20 years. She relocated to Iowa with her husband, Eric, to be near their kids and grandkids. She also has a schipperke named Byrnsey, and a cat, Jax.
When not at the office, Stephanie likes to spend time with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoys gardening. Stephanie loves connecting with patients, getting to know them and helping them maintain a healthy smile.

Receptionist was very friendly and helpful in getting worked in to see the buzy dentist for referral to have teeth extracted. Hygienist was very knowledgeable and friendly also. Will enjoy going there.

I was with my granddaughter yesterday while she was there for a cleaning. I could hear the conversation in the room from the waiting room. My regret is that I didn't go back there and stop her. My granddaughter is almost 12, she has had no issues with dentists in the past but when she won't talk to me after we walk out the door and then is in tears because of the pain from a routine cleaning, for the second time something isn't right. I kept hearing her being told, you're fine, your doing ok I'm almost done. I was wondering if she was doing a filling or something. I am a nurse and am more than capable of taking her to her appointment, it shouldn't matter if it's a parent or not.

**Edited to add after their response** Her father attended the first visit, it is not an issue of "personally attending" to receive better communication. The communication for our family wasn't where we feel it should be, I'm glad you're able to communicate so well with the other families that see you for their dental needs. I am confident we will find a compassionate Dentist that will better suit our family's needs. We switched to Matta Family Dental from another provider, for similar reasons. When we switched we told them our concerns. Our daughter is terrified of the dentist (I get that nobody really enjoys going) to the point that she would make herself sick just thinking about it. We've been twice (wanted to give them a chance) here and I don't think we'll be going back as our opinions haven't changed. They're pretty rough with her, maybe they're not used to working with kids? And she's left in tears both times just from a simple cleaning. They take her back in the room and there's no communication at all with us, the entire visit. You would think with our two biggest concerns being clearly articulated before our first visit, they would have been careful not to follow the same pattern.

I can't say enouigh about Matta FAmily Dental. The staff and the doctor provided the most comprehensive and patient friendly experience I have ever had. Their use of state of the art technology to fashion and check their work, I had no idea it even existed. They involved me in the real time viewing of my condition, they solution and the final fit of a cap. I had a cavity in a hard to find place above an old filling. She found it and fixed it. I have several spots she watches and doesn't fill unless needed. I trust her with my dental needs. They are on time, friendly, and professional.
