Dr. Valerie P. Reese is a Pediatric Dentist who completed her undergraduate college education at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1995. She then studied Dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, earning her DMD degree in 1999. At Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC, Dr. Reese received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry after completion of a two-year residency in 2002. Dr. Reese is currently a member of numerous dental organizations to include the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Georgia Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association, and West Georgia Study Club.
Dr. Valerie Reese and her husband, Reynaldo Reese, have been blessed with two sons and three daughters. Dr. Reeses hobbies include learning, teaching, reading, writing, and traveling. She considers herself extremely blessed to have been graced with both God-given gifts and the specialty training necessary to treat children with the utmost care, respect, and protection.
Pediatric Dentistry at R & R Dental Specialists is a privately owned one doctor, one hygienist, specialty dental office exclusively for children, including those with special needs. Since opening in 2009, Pediatric Dentistry at R & R Dental Specialists has helped develop enjoyment in dental visits for thousands of children. Every team member works diligently to make dental visits fun for each patient. We absolutely love the smiles we make!
I could not ask for better dental experiences for children. The office staff is wonderful, very polite, and professional. The back staff along with Dr. Valerie makes my child feel at ease regardless of what we come in for. When my children leave, I always hear we want to stay longer and this is the coolest dentist ever! The front office staff makes us aware of any charges BEFORE we come and does an excellent job of explaining insurance and out of pocket cost. You can tell the emphasis of the practice is the CHILD and QUALITY care. I would never go elsewhere. This office is a must try! -C.P
Have always enjoyed coming to R&R Dental Associates. Friendly and caring staff and of course Dentist! My son feels at ease, which is a big plus as a concerned parent. Prior to coming here, we did visit another chain type of pediatric dentists and the first visit was our last!! Never once have we had any issues and so glad we found them. --D. S.
I loved this office. My 7 yr old has been afraid of the dentist since he has been going. I didnt like the way our previous dentist was so impersonal. The hygienist & the Dentist here were so amazing and patient. When we left they had no idea that he has ever been afraid & he left happy! Reynaldo T. Reese, DMD is a Montgomery, AL native who attended Jackson State University and earned a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. He completed his Dental Education at The University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi as well. He then travelled to Washington, DC to complete and excel in a rigorous four year Residency in comprehensive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
During the course of his meticulous education, he was awarded countless academic and achievement awards and accolades. Dr. Reese does extensive continuous education courses during the year to remain current on cutting edge trends and treatments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implants to better serve his patients. He is a member of numerous organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and West Georgia Dental Study Club to name a few.
He calls Douglasville his home along with his wife Valerie and four children. His hobbies include fishing, fishing, fishing some more and SEC Football!! His motto is.. To meet a new patient is to meet a new friend!!

Dr. Reese is a great oral surgeon! He takes the time to explain your procedure and answers all questions. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. I appreciate the effective communication efforts regarding scheduling, payments , etc. Pleasant office atmosphere!

The experience was Great. The Doc... the staff was outstanding..... the ONLY reason they didn't get a 5 from me was sometimes the wait time can be lengthy but at least they warn you of that every visit. Lol I was VERY pleased with the entire office.

My daughter was a patient with the pediatrics dental for approximately 4 years. We absolutely loved the staff and the treatment. Although I was hesitant about the practice at first because parents are not allowed in the back with the children, it didn't pose a problem in the beginning. I noticed slight changes in how my daughter responded when it was time to go to the dentist. Her anxiety became high and she dreaded the dentist. However, I thought it was just her not liking some of the staff changes. With our last visit in May/June, I was told that she had three cavities and needed to come back to get them treated. We returned for the treatment with the expectation of one thing and we received something different and I was not told of the services until they had been done. It resulted in us paying an unexpected $150. When it was time to get it looked again, I chose not to use this dental practice. I went to another practice and got a second opinion. To our findings, my daughter did not have any cavities and the treatment that we had received from this practice was not filed on our insurance (so we couldn't contact insurance for fraud), hence the $150 payment. Unfortunately, the new dental practice had to correct what was done and they were wonderful. I really wish we had been able to continue with this practice as the beginning of our partnership was great. Unfortunately, all of that changed leaving us disgusted with their practices. It is my sincere hope the ways of this practice become ethical again. I gave it two stars because the customer service at the front desk has always been positively consistent.

We went for a 2nd opinion about removal of my son's wisdom teeth. So glad we did. Much better experience that the first consult. Dr Reese took time to fully discuss the pros and cons of all options and left the decision in our hands. Unlike surgeon #1, who conviently insisted there was only one ( way more expensive option) I don't choose health care based on price, and I certainly don't want a Dr who does either. Ultimately my son choose to have all 4 removed . But it was his choice. The staff was very helpful, gave multiple estimates, with various anesthesia options, and senarios. Can't recommend enough. They were all friendly and understanding

I love this place!!! I am a GIANT baby when it comes to anything dental. I've never had any "real dental" work done beyond the occasional filling so when I found out that I was going to need a 2 surgical removals and a bone graft I was scared crapless!!! The entire staff from the front to the back are the SWEETEST people you could deal with! They are funny and calming and just so very sweet! I HIGHLY recommend them to any one who is having any surgical procedures done.

I was extremely nervous when I first arrived to get 2 teeth extracted. After meeting the staff and technicians as well as Dr. Reese I calmed down dramatically. I was worried about pain during the extraction but it didn't hurt a bit. I strongly recommend going here to anyone who needs work in their mouth

Doctor and nurses as well as staff was excellent. Very nice, very detailed on instructions, help to give us peace through the whole processes. I had a question and the doctor called me right back. We were called at the end of the day to make sure everything was ok. I can't say enough good things about the doctor and nurses as well as staff and the entire process. Very good experience!

Very fast in and out. Went there to get my wisdom tooth taken out and everything was fast from going in and signing the papers to the whole operation and leaving. Easy 5/5. Other offices, take note please

I was seen again today because I'm still in a lot of pain from having all four of my wisdom teeth removed last week which Dr.Reese made my visit today very pleasant & gave me words of encouragement to help with my healing process because I'm a big baby at times. Dr. Reese and his trusted team are awesome. I first came to them back in 2010 for two wisdom teeth removals which went flawless. Now again, in 2021, they did it again. I had to have another tooth extracted, this one used to have a crown on it and the walls on the tooth were basically gone. Dr. Reese gave me enough local anesthesia that I honestly felt nothing other than the normal pressing in my jaw during the extraction. The actual extraction procedure was super quick. The little pain I felt was during the anesthesia but it wasn't too bad. Recovery too is going well. I do hope I never have to come back to Dr. Reese but for good reasons :-). A+ team.

Great experience for getting wisdom teeth extracted! Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The only reason I won't go back is because I don't have any wisdom left to for them to extract.

Had to have an impacted tooth extracted this morning and let me just say this team is amazing. I had more pain with that tooth in than I do now just a few hours after surgery. This is literally the best dentist I have ever been to!!!
