Preventative dentistry is our goal for every patient. It involves the daily care, good nutrition and periodic check-ups and cleanings that maintain good dental health. Preventive dentistry may not be where we start with every patient, but it is where we like to finish.
Restorative dentistry is basic repair of the mouth. We mend broken or leaking fillings, build crowns and bridges, fit partial and full dentures and realign your bite. Where necessary, gum disease is treated, or root canal therapy is recommended.
Cosmetic dentistry is coming of age with new materials and procedures that make a beautiful smile accessible to everyone. Because our preventive and restorative programs have been so successful, we now have the luxury of considering cosmetic treatment for gaps, chips and otherwise less-than-perfect smiles.
Dr. Rick A. Jones and his wife Rhonda live in Phoenix, MD with their three children. Dr. Jones is a University of Pittsburgh graduate with a degree in Chemistry. Dr. Jones then went on to receive his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Jones love for the east coast and warmer weather brought him to the Baltimore metropolitan area. He has been practicing in the Lutherville-Timonium area for the past 30 years.
Angela has been working for R.A Jones Family Dentistry since she graduated from CCBC Dental Hygiene Program in the Spring of 2019. In her spare time she likes to read, craft and spend time with her three dogs Webster, Parker and Kaya. Angela is in the office Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Alana has been working for R.A. Jones Family Dentistry since 2014. She graduated as a dental hygienist from Fortis College in 2014 followed by Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2017 with her bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene and Health Policy and Administration. When Alana is not at the office, she keeps herself busy spending time with her two young daughters Rayna and Micah, husband Chris, and two German Shepherds- Dakota and Jett. Alana is in the office Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Rhonda and her husband Dr. Rick Jones live in Phoenix, MD with their three children. Rhonda has her BS in Dental Hygiene and MS in Health Administration from University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She previously taught for the CCBC Dental Hygiene Program and presently works here at R.A. Jones Family Dentistry. She loves gardening & spending time with her children, family and friends. Rhonda is in the office Mondays and Fridays.
Michelle has been working at the practice since the Spring of 2021. She has a lifetime background in patient smiles across multiple medical fields. She and Dr. Jones make a great team and are excellent at easing all fears and making patients feel comfortable in the dental chair. She enjoys road trips with her kids who are the best ever.
Patty has been with Dr. Jones practice since 2018, but is a long time patient and friend. She graduated from Towson University with a degree in Biology. Patty has spent many years in the business world with the majority of her time in the Cosmetic and Fragrance industry. She enjoys travelling, hiking, yoga and spending time with her daughter and very large family.
Laurie is our Scheduling Coordinator, she is a two time employee and patient of Dr. Jones for 18 years. She has been back since January 2021. She graduated Medix School for Dental Assisting in the Fall of 2003. She and her husband are avid campers and love spending time with their children, puppy Roscoe, and their family and friends.
Gael is enjoying well deserved time off with family and friends. She still enjoys landscape painting, gardening, and her furry friends. Gael has been with Dr. Joness practice since 1995. She is a New York native and has lived in Butler, MD with her husband John for the last 40 years. Old habits die hard so dont be surprised if she answers the phone when you call the office.

I've been going to Dr Jones for 30 plus years! Wonderful dentist with a caring compassionate office staff! I highly recommend!!!

Terrible service and communication on their end. I've been going here for my whole life and miss two appointments for health reasons and they say they will not see me anymore. I do not recommend going here for yourself or your kids. They don't care about your well being seems like it's more about money for them.

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Jones for dental care for years. He is very thorough and highly skilled, and his compassion, friendliness, concern for his patients are also off the scale.....five stars are not nearly enough! His front desk staff is wonderful...... kind, caring, friendly, and focused on helping, and his hygienists are equally wonderful as well!

I can't say enough about Dr. Jones and his staff. Starting with his staff from the receptionist to the hygienist are all professional, caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Jones is excellent in his field. His knowledge, friendly demeanor, and caring manner is above expectation. The time he takes with his examinations, recommendations and skillful care of his patients is extraordinary. Horrible. I left this practice 10 years ago after he drilled into my tooth for a cavity and when I winced and told him it was hurting he refused to numb anything and told me "5 year olds can make it through this better than you". So I left, he left my tooth exposed and for 8 years following that incident I was scared to death of a dentist. I now go to Suresh Pattenshetti in Towson and he is AMAZING and never calls me names and cares about me and my three kids having a great experience. Dr. Jones is a mansplaining, rude incompetent dentist. My entire family left the practice after what happened. The staff at the front desk were so kind but that gets you only so far.

I can smile again. Even when I'm sad. Dr. Jones is awesome. And the staff is too. First Dental visit that I wasn't the least bit nervous. Made me feel comfortable and even laugh.
