Dr. Michelle Olson grew up on a farm outside Stoughton, Wisconsin. She attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Olson worked in a molecular genetics lab at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for a year before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota School Of Dentistry. She graduated in 2006. Following dental school, Dr. Olson was commissioned in the U.S. Army as a Captain and served on active duty for four years. During her first year, Dr. Olson completed a 1-year Advanced General Dentistry Residency at Fort Lewis, Washington. She was then stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany with the 561st Medical Co (Dental Services).

Dr. Olson was in Germany for about 9 months before being deployed to Iraq with the 464th Medical Co (Dental Services), a sister unit to the 561st in Germany that was short of dentists. Dr. Olson spent 15 months in Taji, Iraq. She was the Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of the Taji Dental Clinic at FOB Taji, which served a base population of about 18,000 soldiers and contractors. Taji, Iraq is about 20 miles northwest of Baghdad. Dr. Olson and her fellow dentists were kept very busy providing comprehensive dental care to the soldiers and contractors in the area. Following her deployment, Dr. Olson returned to Germany for a year. She loved having the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe. Following her time with the Army, Dr. Olson moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia for a year. During this time, Dr. Olson was an associate at two dental offices.

Dr. Olson decided it was time to move back to the Midwest in 2011. She continued to work an associate until she decided the time was right to start her own practice. Dr. Olson opened Quivira Park Family Dentistry in January 2014 and is dedicated to building a family-orientated practice that focuses on helping her patients maintain healthy and beautiful smiles for a lifetime. Her goal is provide the most up-to-date dental care for her patients while using a gentle and compassionate approach. She enjoys educating her patients on how to keep their teeth and promote optimal dental and total body health.

Dr. Olson loves being a dentist and cannot imagine doing anything else. She has enjoyed getting involved in the local dental community and establishing strong relationships with the specialists in the area. She is involved in several study groups that focus on continuing education and attends several seminars each year to further her education.

When shes not busy helping her patients, Dr. Olson loves being outdoors, whether its on the golf course, out for a run or bike ride. She also enjoys cooking, reading, scuba diving and travels whenever she can. Dr. Olson is married to Angel.

Kristi is our office manager and will be taking care of all your scheduling, insurance and administrative questions and needs. Kristi brings over 25 years of dental expertise to our office. She is a native of Topeka, Kansas and a graduated from Kansas State University with a business and marketing degree. In her free time she enjoys taking her two Siberian huskies on long walks and spoiling them rotten. She is married to Chris.

Molly will be assisting Dr. Olson with all areas of your dental care. Molly has been working and involved in dentistry for over 15 years. She brings great experience to our office and has a caring attitude and is great with kids. She strives to make your dental experience comfortable and enjoyable. Molly is married to Chad and has two children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, yoga, spoiling her dogs and taking in her kids many activities.

Kelly is one of our dental hygienists and will be working with Dr. Olson to provide our patients the best comprehensive dental care. Kelly graduated from Ohio State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has experience working in specialty dental practices including periodontics and orthodontics. She has also taught as a dental hygiene clinical instructor at Ohio State University for 9 years. Kelly enjoys getting to know patients, educating them and helping them achieve optimal dental and overall health.

Katie is one of our dental hygienists and works with Dr. Olson to provide the best comprehensive dental care to our patients. She is a proud Navy veteran. Katie graduated from Pensacola State College with a Dental Hygiene degree in 2014. Katie has had the joy of gaining invaluable experience in multiple dental offices in Florida and Maryland. Katie prides herself on patient education and preventative care.

She is happily married to her husband Keith of 20 years, and they have three amazing children. She enjoys running, puzzles, watching her kids play soccer, or just relaxing and hanging out with family and friends.

Kristin is one of our wonderful dental assistants. She works closely with Dr. Olson to provide our patients the best possible dental experience. Kristin graduated from University of Kansas with a Sociology and Crime and Delinquency degree. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and well as extensive experience in oral surgery and pediatric dentistry.
