Growing up in the military, Dr. David has always felt inspired to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through service. Watching his father as a Navy Periodontist made a huge impact in shaping his own military and dental careers emulating a caring nature towards patients and devoted work ethic. Today, Dr. David couldnt feel happier to continue his familys practice and provide exceptional, relationship-based care for the Greater Atlanta community. He keeps his patients best interests top of mind, only recommending the same care he would give to his own loved ones.
He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and went on to become a Doctor of Dental Medicine at the Dental College of Georgia. Throughout his years in college, Dr. David also cared for patients on dental mission trips around the world, visiting places like Peru, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Bulgaria, Venezuela, and more. Achieving the Navy Health Profession Scholarship Program, he started his 10 year Navy career and specialized in Periodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland. He later moved to Japan where he took on roles not only as a Periodontist, but as the Deputy Director for Dental Specialists and COVID-19 Response Team Officer for the entire Pacific region. He is now a Commander in the Navy Reserves.
Dr. David is a husband to his wonderful wife, Laura, and father to their three adorable kids, Natalie, Caleb and Amelia. Outside of the office, you can find him spending quality time with his family, soaking up Georgias outdoor beauty through hiking and running, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs! With his servant leadership mindset, hes also passionate about giving back to his community by educating patients, guiding mentees, and presenting lectures.
Dr. George Quintero started Quintero Periodontics in 1999 and has been treating the local community with whole-hearted care ever since. His passion and focus have always been centered on people, learning his patients' stories and making sure they feel known, seen, and heard in his care. In the culmination of his career, Dr. Quintero is proud to say that his son, Dr. David, will keep his legacy going strong!
Dr. George graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Dental School in 1974 and completed his periodontal residency in 1980 at the National Naval Dental Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Quintero has served his country as a Naval Dental Officer and retired as a Naval Captain in 1994. He taught as a professor at the National Naval Dental Center from 1989 to 1994, publishing an array of journal articles and clinical updates. Dedicated to his craft, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Diplomate of the American Board of Medicine, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and a Fellow of International College of Dentists.
Dr. Quintero cherishes his time spent with his lovely wife, Suzanne, and their three brilliant children, Stacey, Julie, and David. He actively participates in community service and has provided dental services on summer mission trips to Mexico, Venezuela, and Brazil since 1992. He has supervised dental students from the Dental College of Georgia on missions and volunteers his dental services at the Truths Dental Clinic in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for Dr. Quintero. He is such a compassionate and caring person. We had a dental/gum emergency for our 6 year old daughter on a Sunday. Her pediatric dentist refused to see her until Monday, so we took her to downtown Atlanta to the children's ER because they have an emergency dentist on call. After waiting there for 5 hours they refused to call a dentist for her gum laceration, because her teeth didn't wiggle. They gave her Tylenol and sent her home and told her to go see her dentist the following day. We were frantically calling every single emergency dentist we could find on Google (because her gum was hanging over her front teeth) during our drive home at 7pm (on a Sunday). Every single place we called said that the on-call dentists were not available that night. We came across Dr. Quintero. We were able to speak with him and even though we were not a patient at his practice and he doesn't treat children, he opened his practice after hours on a Sunday night to help our 6 year old daughter. He met us there within 20 minutes of our phone call and he was able to take X-rays of her teeth to make sure she didn't have any fractures. He made sure that she was comfortable and he really eased our anxiety about her injury. He explained everything to us very thoroughly, took his time and he fixed her gums and they look beautiful. Dr. Quintero is not only an excellent periodontist, but he genuinely is a wonderful person who actually cares about helping others and who loves his profession. I cannot recommend him enough. Also, he has such a wonderful staff. They're all so friendly and helpful. Such a pleasant and beautiful office.

I used to have dental anxiety whenever I went to see dentist, but I don't feel like that anymore since I came here with dr. David Quintero and Ms Kim. Thank you for being gentle and make me feel so comfortable.

Dr. Quintero is amazing and his staff is also amazing! I met them about two years ago when my gums needed expert care and that was what they received. Thanks to his many years of experience along with his personal interest, my gums are healthy once again! I would recommend him to anyone who needs periodontal treatment.

Let me start off by saying I have a fear of Dentist and I was unsure of what to expect going to a new one. Dr. Quintero and his staff made me feel at ease and my procedure exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs his expertise.

I was nervous before the first visit today and left feeling assured. The front office immediately greeted me when I walked in and was very friendly. Dr. David Quintero is wonderful! He was very thorough with the exam. He took his time to explain the conditions and answered all my questions. It was nice not to be rushed out! His team was courteous and helpful. I was given a detailed estimate/timeline for my treatment plan so I would know what to expect going forward. Dr. Quintero and his team are truly caring professionals. I feel confident that I am getting quality care.

Dr. George Quintero is a fabulous periodontist. My 10 year old son had a wonderful experience. He is very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining everything that he was doing.
