After college I took a job as a scientist at a large company that manufactured many dental and household products. I had significant success with multiple patents for many novel dental inventions. One of those products lead to the launch of a new version of Sensodyne toothpaste in the US and Sensodyne Duo in Europe. Another led to the release of a prescription Stannous Fluoride gel called Vision. Its there when I learned I had a passion and talent for the science of dentistry. Eventually I rose to Senior Scientist but decided to change paths and apply to dental school.
I get to work every day with the greatest group of dedicated staff. Each person works so hard and cares so much for the patients. We hire people who are compassionate and smart. They work hard because they truly believe in what we are doing for our patients.
I want all my patients to have functional teeth for their whole life. I love cosmetics but at the end of the day its about keeping people functional, able to eat their favorite meal when they are 100 years old. Pain free, infection free, thats the ultimate goal.
Likely in the office, at least some of the time. I try to accommodate patient schedules and I never turn away an emergency. Otherwise, we live downtown Saratoga so I love walking on Broadway and around congress park.
Dr. Cara Hernas is a doctor of dental medicine. After earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, she moved on to earn her doctorate degree in dental medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. While in Philadelphia, Dr. Hernas completed her general practice residency at VA Medical Center.

Dr. Branden Marcus is a doctor of dental surgery in New York. Dr. Marcus graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a doctorate in dental surgery, then went on to complete his general practice residency at New York Medical College. Judy was extremely thorough and pleasant! I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time and was nervous, but Judy eased my worries and made me feel comfortable. She explained everything well and my teeth have never felt cleaner.

Judy was my hygienist and has been for several years. The office staff were great and Judy's cleaning and rapport were wonderful as usual. She always explains my treatment in easily understandable terms. She's a wonderful hygienist and great person.

Very good experience. Everyone was professional & thorough. Hygienist & doctor explained in detail my dental status with options and solutions. I'm happy I found them. I would definitely recommend.

My Dentist of many years retired and so I needed to find a new dental practice and that was what prompted me to try Queensbury Family Dentistry. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had always had my teeth cleaned every 6 months but because of losing my previous dentist it had been close to 18months since my last cleaning. I was really dreading this appointment because every previous cleaning left me with a sore mouth for a couple of days. Was I in for a surprise. The Dental Hygienist that cleaned my teeth today was Judy and she was awesome. It was the first time my teeth and mouth did not hurt after a cleaning. Thank you, Judy!!!! I also met Dr. Franklin and he too was awesome. He took time to get to know me, explained what my x-rays showed and discussed what future treatment would entail. I would definitely recommend this professional and friendly dental practice to anyone seeking dental services.

I have had three appointments and all have gone great I'm very satisfied and the whole office is friendly I like that they inform you what they're going to do from one appointment to the next and give you the amount the next appointment may cost you

This is Leslie! Today was a great dental visit! I am a bit of a baby when it comes to dental work, especially shots... Dr. Franklin was extremely gentle and pain free. He was also meticulous in his work. The staff was all very kind. A very clean, neat and efficient practice, that I highly recommend.

Unfortunately I had an absolutely horrible experience. Not only was the doctor unreachable during an emergency but while performing a root canal procedure, the office lost power and the doctor was trying to continue with procedure in the dark. 6 months later, my gums are still swollen, bleeding, and blue where the doctor performed root canal and put a crown. I have spent so much money at his office in order to find out that everything that he did needs to be redone the correct way. Do not recommend this place at all.

Hello. I had an appointment at your office yesterday at 2. It had been many years since I had seen a dentist and I was more than a bit nervous. The Hygienist Jamie made me feel very comfortable and at ease. She was very thorough and made sure to explain everything thoroughly. She was awesome and very easy going. Amanda is awesome! She makes it so easy to have dental cleanings for those of us that have sensitive gums and teeth. She has a great attitude, is super gentle and is an excellent hygienist! Today I had work done by Dr. Franklin he is the best! He made me feel comfortable with my first procedure of many with no judgement. Also, Amanda in the office is very helpful and kind as well.. an overall great experience! 100% Recommended!
