It is a privilege to belong to a profession that offers so many ways to be of service. I have been fortunate to have practiced dentistry in several communities in the 30 years since I graduated. In each of these places I have been welcomed, supported, and feel I have been able to contribute to the betterment of the community.

When I first meet a patient, I encourage them to tell me about themselves. I want to know what theyre seeking in dental care. I also want to know about their worries and their life. Having insight into who the person is, not only their clinical needs, allows me to find the right treatment approach for them. This ensures the best care experience and best results for that person.

I have brought together a team of people who reflect my commitment to quality and care. What sets them apart is that they, like me, listen to you. We want to know your desires and concerns. We genuinely care about you as a person and want to learn who you are.

In the years since I finished my formal schooling, dentistry has only improved. New materials now allow for life-like restorations. Cosmetic dentistry advances allow me to improve a patients confidence and ease in social settings. The art and science of dentistry is changing, as is the technology. It is essential I stay abreast of these changes and what they can provide my patients.

There is a joy in doing something well. By pursuing continuing education, I am able to practice the best dentistry. My involvement in study clubs and mentoring programs allows me to exchange ideas with colleagues and learn from them. Continuing education has fostered creativity in problem solving and treatment planning.

I have participated in advanced dental education with the University of Washington, CRE with John Kois, and at the LVI Institute. Im currently involved with the Puget Sound chapter of Spear Education and their programs in Scottsdale, AZ.

I was born in Chehalis, WA and grew up in north Seattle. In 1976 I married my wife, Lisa. She is my soul mate and life teacher. In our 40 years together, weve raised four great children. They all live close by, allowing for many family gatherings.

I also like digging for razor clams at the beach, salmon fishing anywhere, and sailing when the opportunity arises. Perhaps, though, what I love most is a warm summer evening, a good book, and a glass of red wine in our backyard.

Ive always been passionate about dentistry, even as a small child. I enjoy helping my patients achieve and maintain optimal dental health.I take a multidisciplinary approach to care when addressing my patients dental needs. This allows my patients to achieve their ideal results.

As a dentist, I love that I get to work with a diverse group of people, from toddlers through seniors. Getting to know each on a personal level, and establishing a lifelong relationship with them, is important to me. I believe in actively listening to my patients and encourage them to tell me about their goals and concerns.

I find working with people who have dental anxiety to be particularly rewarding. Together with my team, I help that person work through and overcome their fears. Todays dentistry offers truly painless options and I pay close attention to each persons comfort during their visits. Having a patient thank me, with a happy smile, for making a procedure go smoothly and without discomfort, is truly a fulfillingmoment.

I am passionate about learning and education. Dentistry is a constantly evolving discipline. Advancements in technology, materials, and techniques all mean better care and results for patients. I take my responsibility for my patients oral health seriously. By remaining current through continuing education courses, I ensure Im providing the best care and treatment options.

I grew up in Rainer, WA and have live in Olympia. My wife Amy and I have been married for over20 years. We have six children: four boys and two girls. We also have a cat, dog, and four fish. Spending time together, as a family, is important to all of us. When Im not working, youll usually find me at one of my kids many extracurricular activities.

Both Amy and I are board members for the Spina Bifida Association of Washington. I am also a committee member for Boy Scout Troop 531and am on the Dental Assistant Advisory Committee for Clover Park Community College, too. Additionally, I volunteer for RAM and the Seattle Center free dental days.

I like welcoming and talking with our patients. I want each person to feel comfortable and at home during their visits, and to know we are here for them. I handle a variety of front office duties in addition to greeting and checking in patients. My favorite is helping people maximize their dental insurance benefits, so they get the care they need when they need it, without stress. I also handle treatment and financial coordination, billing, and collections.

Outside of work I love spending time with my husband, two kids, and two pups. I amknown for my love of entertaining and obsession with all things Christmas. I am so excited to join Quality Dentistry and get to know each of you.

I am new to dentistry and am grateful to have been chosen to work in our Lakewood location helping Kathy.Prior to switching to dentistry, I worked in customer service for five years and have a passion for making a difference in people's day, as well as making sure they feel comfortable. I enjoy learning about dentistryand have appreciated being challenged with something new.

While not at work I enjoy spending time with my fiance', taking care of our new home and our threeyear old golden retireiver, Scout. We love spending time at the ocean and being outdoors seeing new things. I look forward to meeting each of you at either office and hope to see you soon!

I have been in dentistry for 13years and enjoy seeing my patients and getting to know them. The one-on-one relationships that are built in a private practice like ours is unlike any other experience you will receive in any other facility. I love being able to share my knowledge of dental hygiene with my patients andI consulteach onehow to care for their own oral hygiene as well as focusing on their needs and what is best for them. I am a kind-hearted, outgoing and caring person that loves what I do and want to share that with my patients.

My husband and I have been together for 12years. We have n 11year old dog named Rex who we adore and take everywhere with us. We love doing things outdoors, really enjoy paddle-boarding and boating in the summertme.

I enjoy talking with and getting to know each patient. I work hard to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and reassured while theyre here. By listening to a persons concerns, and making sure they understand whats going to happen, I help them relax. I set up our treatment room, then seat and prepare our patient to see the doctor. Working chairside, I support the doctor while telling the patient what were doing and making sure theyre comfortable.

I enjoy getting to know patients on a personal level, learning about their life, family, and interests. The better I understand who they are as a person, the better Im able to help them take control of their smiles health. I take X-rays and perform head and neck exams. I also perform routine and deep cleanings, along with periodontal maintenance. A lot of my time is spent teaching people how to care for their oral health and keep their smile in great shape.

My amazing husband and I have two cats, a bird, and 14 incredible nieces and nephews. We love to hike all over Washington and vacation in Hawaii. Im also the Treasurer and a Board Member of my Homeowners Association. This keeps me busy but allows me to get to know my great neighbors.

Never have I experienced such unprofessional practices! I came in for a root canal for Dr. Miller to not be able to identify which bottom tooth it was. I went to a specialist and it was in fact a tooth on my top jaw! I then try and schedule a root canal for my top teeth and am cancelled on twice while waiting for two weeks in excruciating pain. Kathy the receptionist was very rude and even went to the extent to say they don't do root canals. Do not waste your time coming here you will only find incompetent and inhumane practices. It worked out in the end because I thankfully didn't have to have a root canal here I was able to go somewhere competent!

I accidentally went into the wrong dentist office originally (Quality Dentistry instead of Dr. Bae's Dentistry) and that American receptionist was sooo rude. Denied me the use of the restroom and wanted to confirm insurance and that I could pay first. When I tossed my driver's license, insurance card, and debit card to her to let me use the restroom she started to slowly tally the bill and still didn't let me use the restroom. She kept ignoring me and wouldn't answer my questions or give me permission to use their restroom. After drinking coffee and driving over half an hour I was about to burst. Dr. Bae's clinic? Very nice! They obviously speak Korean and had some trouble understanding me when I spoke too fast but graciously allowed me to use the restroom before confirming information. I am so glad I walked into the wrong office and Dr. Bae's the one with my network provider!

This is a well run business. I had x-rays, a meeting with the dentist and my teeth cleaned in 2.5 hours. Everyone was very good at what they do. I left something at the their office and it was delivered to my house the same evening! On top of all of this, their service was considerably less expensive than other dentists I considered who are closer to where I live.

I had nothing but good things to say about this place until I found out I was being mislead. Long story short, I was told by the receptionist (Cheryl) that they take my insurance (United Concordia) and that I'd be covered for any services I had done with them. She failed to inform me that they are not within the network and that I'd be paying more than half of the bill out of pocket. Each time I had received a bill from their office, I'd ask her why is my insurance not even cover half the bill, and she came up with so many excuses like "they determine the percentage they pay based off the rank of the service member" or "they charged you more this time because your sealants are tooth colored instead of silver and they considered that cosmetic", but never once mentioned that their dental office is not within the network and that's the real reason I have had to pay out of pocket over $800. I stopped by today to pay the last portion of another larger bill and to tell her I found out why the insurance doesn't cover even half the bill, and to my surprise, she knew what I was about to say without me even explaining the situation, which showed me she's done this before and takes advantage of military members and their families when they're unaware of the networking insurance policies. I've emailed and sent a letter to Dr. McDade, (the dentist that I believe owns the practice) explaining my situation, in hopes that he can somehow make this right, since I'm a disabled vet and my wife is currently serving active duty, so, we aren't the wealthiest of people and that money could've went to providing for my family instead of to dental bills I wouldn't have had to pay if I was told the truth from the beginning. I will update this review if they decide to do the right thing.

I've been a patient at Quality Dentistry for years, first with Dr McAvoy who retired and now Dr McDade. I appreciate the professional and caring treatment I have received. I would recommend Dr McDade to anyone who needs dental treatment.

I just moved to the area and love this office. As soon as I called the office Sheryl (Cheryl? not sure of spelling) was welcoming and friendly. I really appreciate all that she's done to help me understand MY insurance, so not sure why the other guy is so unhappy and negative. As an adult, it's obviously up to me to know something about my own insurance. I go to the doctor and pay my doctor bills so why should the dentist be any different? In both instances I'm responsible whether my insurance pays or not and I don't have a problem with that. This is the real world. Personally, if I was so unhappy I would just leave and find another dentist. I would highly recommend this office, so don't listen to others that are obviously trying to place blame on someone else and not take ownership of their own problems. I find all employees there to be pleasant, honest and knowledgable. I will continue going to this office as long as they are in business. Thanks guys! -Darrell M from CA now here. Side note: To Shawn, when you serve your country with honor, then be an honorable disabled vet and don't use it to appear as a victim, especially to make a nice lady in a dental office look bad, especially when she's just doing her job. Not cool dude.

Caring, friendly staff. Both doctors are very good about explaining their procedures, options for care, etc. I can't imagine going anywhere else for dental care for my family.
