Dr. Vernon Smith is a native of Central Florida and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in 2007. He went on to study at Nova Southeastern University wherehe earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2012. Dr. Smithbegan his career working for dental chains in central Florida but quickly realized that he wanted to focus more on establishing collaborative dentist-patient relationships and purchased Quality Dental Care in 2016.
Dr. Smith believes that dentistry should not be operated like a cookie-cutter based model and that each patient needs a treatment that is tailored to their needs. He is passionate about empowering patients regarding their dental care with effective communication and education throughout the dental treatment process. Dr. Smiths main goal is to provide fair and honest quality dental care for his patients in Lakeland.
Dr. Mohammad Zaman is dedicated to delivering quality dental services to our patients in Lakeland, FL. Dr. Zaman has the rare honor of being trained in three dental specialties: oral surgery, prosthodontics,and periodontics. He received his dental degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1999. Subsequently, he completed a one-year dental internship followed by a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacialsurgery.
In January of 2007, Dr. Zaman was granted a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery after passing the Fellowship Examination. He furthered his education in 2013 by completing a three-year postgraduate specialty training in prosthodontics at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, where he received a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science Degree.
Dr. Zaman then completed a one-year Implant Fellowship Residency in Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2014 and currently holds a faculty position in Post Graduate Prosthodontics at Nova Southeastern University. His special interests are in aesthetic full-mouth reconstruction and complex dental implant surgical procedures.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist, my anxiety is so bad, I burst into tears, but let me tell you about Dr. Smith and his team. 100% Greatness. A bit pricey for a cash paying patient but the gentle care, knowledge and vibe in the office is top notch. The front office, Luke likes to take credit for all these 5 star reviews, he does a great job giving his attention to the patients on the phone and in person. Amy is a great addition to the office as well, she's spunky and lightens the air with her smile and keeping everyone on point. And Wendy She is a star! She is so sweet and caring and explains everything so well from what to expect during the procedure process and why, to the post care instructions and cool tips most wouldn't think to tell you. Dr. SMITH!!!!! I have NEVER had a dentist as gentle as him! Dude is down to earth, and just great at his profession. He really took his time to make sure I was comfortable, even offered to reschedule me and give me something for my anxiety before hand. (I chose not to and just go through with it, was scared I wouldn't come back.) Just thank you all so much!

From the minute I called for an appointment (which was a same day appointment) until I left I was treated kindly and professionally. Dr. V. Smith and the staff were caring and kind. I will go back as needed and they will get my recommendation to anyone needing " a good dental office" Thank you all!

I needed emergency treatment on broken now painful teeth. Dr. Smith and the staff did everything they could to get me treated as quickly as possible. I find out they are no longer in my "network" of insurance! Treated me anyway and got me a referral to an oral surgeon. These people genuinely care! Thank you Quality Dental Care of Lakeland.

First of all, I have been coming to Quality Dental since Dr. McKeveny was there. Old school dentist with ethics! They treat you like family. Even though they aren't a "kids" dentist - I brought my then 10 year old for a second opinion after a "kid friendly" chop shop told me she had 10 cavities! 10! Came to Quality Dental and he found 0 (ZERO). Make sense of that! She's now 18 and hadn't had a filling yet! Back to present- I've also used Johanna as my hygentist forever. The best! Nothing fancy here folks. There's no dental spa or million dollar decor. Just good ol dentistry. They are Not trying to sell you something you don't need like a "deep cleaning" service. The cleanings are deep cleanings! You should not be charged extra for that! Anyway- love Dr. Smith- he's funny and personable and does a thorough and fantastic job.

My family and I have been going to Quality Dental since the early 90's. I just got my teeth cleaned today and received wonderful service. Got right in at my appointment time and was made to feel comfortable and relaxed. I would recommend Quality dental highly.

I love this dentist. Everyone there really cares. Dr. Smith is awesome! He doesn't want to just tell you need all these things done just so he can have your money. My whole family uses him. And the dental hygienist is really gentle and does an awesome job with cleanings. I would def. Recommend to others.
