Quho Choi, DDS, is an experienced dentist who practices at Q Smiles Dentals two locations in Wappingers Falls and Sleepy Hollow. Dr. Choi serves patients of all ages and specializes in a variety of general and cosmetic dentistry procedures.
In 2004, Dr. Choi graduated from New York Universitys College of Dentistry. He completed his residency at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City. Shortly thereafter, in 2008, Dr. Choi fulfilled a lifelong dream and opened his own practice: Q Smiles Dental.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Dr. Choi has emphasized continuing education and advanced training throughout his professional career. He completed two years of orthodontic training through Progressive Orthodontics Seminars (POS) and is a CEREC mentor at levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Through his continuing education, he has also earned the title of certified Lumineers provider and certified SureSmile provider.
Since opening Q Smiles Dental, Dr. Choi has treated his patients with the same care and compassion he extends to family. Hes known for being personable and always willing to spend extra time customizing care options to meet the needs of his patients. The results are unquestionably rewarding for patients and provider alike; the former achieve their dream smiles, which is Dr. Chois favorite reason to smile himself.
Dr. Ye Jee Shim is a general dentist who is committed to providing quality dentistry and contemporary care. She is recognized for her thorough, compassionate, and individualized care for patients of all ages. Her goal is to encourage and guide everyone on their journey to healthy smiles and lifestyles.
Dr. Shim received her undergraduate degree from New York University in biology and chemistry. She continued her education at New York University College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, she completed her general practice residency at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, where she received advanced training in all aspects of dentistry, including oral and periodontal surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Dr. Shim participates regularly in continuing education courses to expand her knowledge and maintain progressive skills in general dentistry. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Anju Philip grew up in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science from Houston Baptist University. Following her bachelors, she moved to the Big Apple to attend New York University College of Dentistry.
She completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors and joined the Omicron Kappa Upsilon society for her academic merit. Dr. Philip also realized that she couldnt leave the city just yet and pursued a general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Following the residency, Dr. Philip decided to take all the skills she had learned back to Texas, where she was able to provide care to a variety of patients. She was able to strengthen her clinical, diagnostic, and trauma management skills.
Throughout her career, Dr. Philip participated in ample community outreach programs to give back to the community. She always strives to have an excellent relationship with her patients and continues to listen and rectify their dental problems. Dr. Philip enjoys teaching and mentoring and has been involved in various educational experiences. She looks forward to future opportunities that will enable her to pursue her passion in education.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends. Fitness is my lifelong obsession; it pushes me to be a better version of myself, gives me the confidence to tackle any obstacle, and helps me to de-stress and rejuvenate. My life's mission is to inspire others to improve their lives through focus on health and fitness. I believe there are absolutely no limits but the ones we place on ourselves. I joined Dr. Chois team in 2021, when I brought almost 30 years of experience in providing gentle hygiene care and education about improving and maintaining oral health. I enjoy working with people and providing a valuable healthcare service while establishing a trusting relationship with patients. At Q Smiles Family Dentistry, we work with the highest professionalism and dedication to provide quality dental care to our patients.
I am a proud parent and grandmother. I love the Dutchess County community and volunteer at local elementary school assisting kids with reading and social skills. I also host educational lectures that provideeducation on oral health and prevention. I love music, singing, and dancing, but most of all, I love to make people smile!
I began my career in dental hygiene in 1986, and it has truly been a dream job. Im so fortunate to say that I love every part, from working with people and getting to know them to meeting their needs and improving their health, as well as being part of a team that workstowardthe same goal. I am mother to a beautiful angel, pet mom, wife, and friend. I founded two book groups and a cooking club. I love volunteer work, nature, photography, music, and learning new things. I look forward to learning about you!
I earned my dental assistant certification in 2022 and began working at Q Smiles Dental shortly after. My favorite part of my job is that it gives me the ability to help others by providing excellent dental care. I enjoy talking to our patients and helping them to feel more confident in themselves.
I love animals just as much as I love making people smile! I have a dog named Bleu and he is my heart, along with my boyfriend of nine years. I enjoy watching movies, especially comedy and suspenseful movies. I also love the outdoors, going on adventures, and taking hikes with my babies.

Wonderful care and very kind staff who are very helpful and they try to make sure that your teeth are always cleaned very carefully as to not harm your gums. Highly recommend!

THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AND YOUR INSURANCE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Be wary... Their billing practices are very shady. They ran my insurance and had me pay an agreed upon upfront cost before performing a filling. A month later, they called me telling me that my insurance didn't cover the type of filling they provided and told me I needed to pay the difference.... In total, they had me pay just under $400 for a single filling (I'm with Guardian Dental). Listen to the other reviews-- seems like there are quite a few who had to go through something similar to me.

I have been a client of the Sleepy Hollow location since 2012. I was very happy with the results and services until the recent transition to Q Smiles. The interactive practices are questionable and lack the customer service that is essential to repeat, and referral business. I was just advised that if you cancel less than 48 hrs, you get charged with a cancellation fee, yet you can't get seen in the office if you are not feeling well especially during the Covid pandemic. They continue to add more fees, state they changed policy of practice, yet assumed a book of business from the previous provider and state that this is the way it going to be! No written review, no request to continue as my provider, no official or authorized policy and agreement. I called and spoke with an individual who was obnoxious and disrespectful, and was advised that they were the office manager? I asked to speak with the owner/ Doctor Choe and was rudely told they will pass the message and said they are hanging up. At no point did they acknowledge the first issue, or even attempt to schedule a new service which takes months to get because they are not schedule friendly for individuals who work mon-fri. My opinion, find a provider who is truly long-term, and not a chain store operation. I take my dental care very serious, and you become just a number. I miss my previous team that cared!!! Looking for a new dentist who puts the best interest of the client ahead of the corporation.

First of all as soon as you walk into the office it's clean and open. The staff always courteous and professional. Dr. Choi is a pleasure, professional, attentive, efficient, kind and always on time. His clinical staff also attentive, efficient and professional. Overall an excellent and positive experience each and every time. I would recommend Q Smiles Dental in Sleepy Hollow in a heart beat.

Please be aware of this dental clinic for over charge and refuse to refund you! I was transferred by my old dentist who I used for over 15 years to them. Recently I was told to do some filing on my teeth and was told the estimate out of pocket expense is about 100 dollars per tooth according to my plan (Detla Dental PPO) after they checked, but I need to pay upfront and Delta Dental will reimburse me later. When I got the bill and reimbursement from Delta Dental, I actually paid $290 per tooth out of pocket, triple the estimate I was told! I even need to pay $100 for routine cleaning, which should be free under the plan. I called them multiple times in the past 2 month and request a refund for the overcharge, each time I got different answers why they can not refund. First time they told me since I already paid them, so overpayment can't be refunded. Second time I was told the material they used was special, so they over charge. Third time I was told Delta Dental is out of network, actually I checked the Delta Dental and the dentist who treated me is under the Delta Dental plan. The claim statement clearly said if the provider is in the plan, they shall agree the maximum contract allowance, that is why we choose in network provider. They over charge almost double the maximum allowed by the plan and ask you to pay the overcharge. As a result, I have to cancel all my appointments with them. Hope this experience help you in choosing the right dentist.

Doctor was professional and did a good job in an emergency situation. Staff was friendly but their business practices are not great. When you tell someone they're gonna get their money back if they pay upfront, make sure you're telling them the truth and when they call and ask for help with the matter, call them back.

I had the privilege of visiting Q Smiles Dental for a cleaning two days ago and my experience prompted me to write a review for this fantastic dental office. When I first walked into the office I was greeted with a smile by the receptionists sitting at the front desk. The employees were extremely nice, making conversation with me as I walked down the hallway. When my name was called and I walked to my room, I experienced a friendly environment amongst the staff that made my nerves of being at the dentist settle. Once seated in my chair, I looked around and noticed the cleanliness of the room, something very important given the COVID-19 pandemic. I was impressed with the level of professional friendliness the workers treated me with as well as the quality with which they do their jobs. At no point during my cleaning did I feel uncomfortable both physically nor emotionally. Very impressed with this office and will 100% be returning soon.
