Dr. Nguyen attended the University of California Riverside and received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. She moved to Boston to attend and receive her Doctorate of Dentistry fromBoston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine(BUGSDM). Dr. Nguyen performed her residency program at Boston Medical Center before she started her own private practice.
John Lu serves as the Operations Director of Q Smile Dental Spa. Having served as Operations Director since 2017, he is innovative and passionate in generating new strategies and focusing on ideations that benefit both patients and the team.

She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS). Dr. Nguyen was a Vice President of the MDS South Shore Chapter. Currently, she is a distinguished guest member of the MDS Board of Trustees. Dr. Nguyen enjoys giving back and sharing her professional experience with her colleagues and future dentists; thus, she devotes her time, outside of her busy schedule at private practices, to teach at BUGSDM as Clinical Associate of General Dentistry.
Besides her busy professional life, Dr. Nguyen is also known for her community works as she participates and does fundraising every year for Jimmy Fund, Make-a-Wish, Vietnamese American Community of MA, and NE Center and Home for Veterans.
In addition to volunteer work Dr.Ward stays very active outside of work. Dr. Ward enjoys hiking, fishing, golf, basketball and running. Dr. Ward grew up locally in Hingham, MA and spends a lot of time with his four siblings and two nephews. Dr. Wards has been passionate about dentistry since he was a child, growing up in his grandfathers orthodontic office in Weschester NY, he has always loved and wanted to become a dentist.

Good luck trying to go in as a new patient. I made 2 attempts to schedule an appointment over the phone. They take your name, dob, and insurance info, they give you a date and time only for that appointment to magically disappear twice. First time I was told the person didn't take my insurance, which she did because I had her repeat it, but sure mistakes happen. Second time how can you not have any info of the appointment after making it and taking the same exact info down?? Wasted my time even driving here.

This practice went above and beyond! I am a teacher who just moved here from out of state and I do not yet have dental insurance. Their pricing was fair and reasonable. My crown fell out and they were able to squeeze me into there schedule. The doctor spoke to me to tell all of my options regarding the crown and was very respectful and informative. Both doctors and assistants stayed until after they closed to help me get my crown back on. I will tell my fellow teachers and friends to come here!

I wish this place would work for me but I don't dare to go back. Some front desk people are not very familiar with what they are doing but the doctors are nice and willing to explain things to you and most nurses are friendly. The problem is, the hygienist tried her best to clean my teeth, however, one tooth gum was hurt and bleeding afterwards for 3 days and I couldn't floss. The second time I went, a doctor filled my teeth quickly and nice, but the instrument wore my lips and I got a white blister and hurting lips for 4 days. Also during the filling process the nurse and the doctor were chatting all the time, which was tiring and I had to hear all their personal stories and trying hard not missing what was said to me instead. It's a convenient place to go, but each time I got injured while being treated, unfortunately.

Dr Nguyen and Dr Ward have are wonderful! I've been taking my kids here for years. The staff is professional and the office is very up to date with all the technologies. Their Dental chair comes with heat and massage and there is a tv for the kids to watch cartoons while getting their dental work done. Coffee and water is served in the waiting area and there is even a kids play area while we wait to be seen! Highly recommended!

I understand there is COVID thing going on, but I arrived on time for my appointment, and they rejected my appointment, b/c all of sudden you want me to be 15min earlier, which I am total fine, but can't you call before hand and tell me to be there 15min before my appointment due to covid stuff, and I would be happy to be early; a call or text won't waste/increase your phone bill right ?or maybe 2 mins time of your front desk. Oh well, I am taking my business somewhere else. Good luck man, maybe consider /hire a new front desk who have the skills to do the job not who are skilled at arguing with the customers.

I came to Q-Smiles Dental Spa with a recommendation from Mass Health. I came to Q Smiles after a dentist from Quincy left me with an unfinished lower partial that was too uncomfortable to wear and refused to work on it anymore. I just got my Upper back that they had realigned and my new lower partial they made for me. These are better than the dentures I paid $5000 for at Aspen Dental 10 years ago!! This is a very nice place with friendly staff . Dr.nguyen and Dr.ward is great . I am someone who is very scared of dentist and I was worried about coming but they made me feel very comfortable coming back for my root canal and teeth pulling and all the scary stuff lol . Thank you q smile
