Dr. Chen earned her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) in 2001 and her PhD in Pharmacology in 1996 from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Chen also has a medical degree from Nanchang University Medical School in China.
She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), North Carolina Dental Association, Charlotte Dental Association and American Association of General Dentistry (AGD). Dr. Chen is a partner of Nobel Biocare, one of the worlds largest dental implant companies.
Bright Dental Charlotte is pleased to introduce Xin Chen, DMD. Dr. Chen graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and has been practicing dentistry for 15 years. She first graduate in 1995 form Beijing Medical University, School of Somatology. She worked in the Department of Endodontics and Operative Dentistry for two year as a resident.
She then worked in a private office for 2 years before she came to the US. She was in Boston University School of Dental Medicine from 2004 to 2006 in Advanced Standing program. She graduated with high honors in 2006 and obtained her American DMD degree.
She does excellent root canal treatment. She is also very good in restorative, extraction, removable partial and complete dentures, pedo treatment, implant crown and bridge. She can also place some implants. As part of the Bright Dental Charlotte team, Dr. Chen is dedicated to transforming the delivery of dentistry, and is grateful for being given the opportunity to serve and help people.
Dr. Chen believes in developing lifelong relationship with her patients and is committed to providing the highest quality of dental care at all times. She always greets her patients with a smile, making sure they feel right at home. With countless hours in continuing education, Dr. Xin Chen has expanded her knowledge of the best in the newest innovations, technology, and techniques in the dental field. Tanya came to us from California where she and her husband and their two children lived for 25 yrs before relocating to Charlotte for her husbands job. She went to California State University of Northridge for Business management and has been in the dental field since 1988. She will greet with you a smile and call you by name when you enter the door as if shes been expecting you, our VIP (Very Important Patient). She has a passion for helping others so she will do her utmost for you at all times. Her knowledge with insurance will serve you best when its time to choose your dental policy.
Kim has been part of the Bright Dental Charlotte team for 9 years. She graduated from Central Piedmont Community College where she earned her Dental Hygiene Degree and received the prestigious Golden Scaler dental hygiene student award.
Likewise, the staff at Dr. Chens practice is skilled, caring, and hard-working. They will go out of their way to help patients, from explaining treatment plans to helping with insurance plans. The facilities are modern and equipped with the latest technologies, including 3D imaging techniques and the CEREC system for crowns in one visit.

Dr Chen and her staff is amazing. I personally love Dr. Chen, because several years ago, I woke up on a Saturday morning with an abscess. I called the office and Dr. Chen answered, so told me to come in ,even though I didn't have an appointment. She fixed me up and I could not hold back from hugging her. I am petrified of the dentist. My filling came a loose in my front tooth, I went to Affordable Impants only for them to tell me they only do partials and dentures after sitting there for 3 hours. I sat in my car and starting calling around to dentist in my network. Well let me just say it was a blessing for me to stumble across this practice, Katie the receptionist I spoke with over the phone was so kind, when sensing the urgency and frantic in my voice she scheduled me for a same day emergency appointment. When I walked in the lady said she had been expecting me (I didn't get her name but she was exceptional too). My only complaint was that I was freezing but what doctor's office isn't and they provided me with a blanket. Dr. Chen was amazing. She didn't try to make me feel bad about the condition of my teeth or take an X-ray and make me come back. She fixed my problem there on the spot! I felt so comfortable I scheduled my next appointment and one for all 3 of my kids. She was my angel of mercy today! I couldn't be more pleased.

Absolutely untrustworthy- thankfully lesson learned before they could damage my children's teeth. After saying they "take" our insurance DAYS in advance, halfway through the actual appointment the manager says "oh he meant we take it, but it's not in-network." Funny how that didn't come up until the dentist's hands are literally in my child's mouth. Then it was "oh, don't worry we will cover it because of the situation" so we finish their appointments, double check before leaving and are reassured. Guess who received the bill in the mail? I'll be reporting the dentist to the appropriate licensing boards. We've since found an honest dental practice that does good work that can be trusted. We noticed when we were there the practice largely caters to people that don't speak English as their first language...I suspect it's so they can get away with fraud and deceptive practices like this, betting the patients won't report them. Hopefully the licensing boards will take a closer look at this practice after I report them.

Dr. Chen and her staff have restored my faith in dentistry. Had I known about her office before moving to Charlotte, I would have saved myself a lot of money, time, and pain. The technology that is utilized at their site is state of the art equipment. I would and have recommended their office to my peers at work and my family. We had several dentists in the past, we finally found Dr Chen. She is our dentist for few years now; she is very professional, knowledgable, attentive, patient, always gives you great professional advise. We also see that she likes her profession, works hard, and achieves great results for her patients. Her team is also very nice and professional, and they like taking care of their patients. I was very pleased with Dr Chen. She is the first dentist that made sure I was comfortable and didn't hurt me while doing the procedures. I'm definitely going back to her as my dentist.
