We couldnt be the office we are without our staff. They are always helping patients by giving them the information they need to make the right decision. Our staff will discuss all of your options and what to expect. They are here to answer your questions and address your concerns. Dedra has been an assistant for 30 years, the whole time at this office in Seymour, first with Dr. Fox and now with Dr. Pyle. She earned her Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certificate from OTC in 2004. She has built strong relationships with patients over this time. She loves to spend her time outside work with her 3 grown children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. The joy of her life is helping take care of her grandbabies. She also enjoys kayaking and spending time at the beach.

Karen graduated from the Ozarks Technical Community College Dental Assisting Program in 1996 and became a national board-certified dental assistant shortly after that. She started her assisting career working for Dr. Dio Daily, then was blessed to be able to stay at home with her children for 6 years while they were young. After her boys were in school, she came to work for Dr. Fox and was able to obtain her expanded functions certification through OTC. She worked with Dr. Fox for 9 years until his retirement and stayed at the office afterwards with Dr. Pyle. She has been married to her husband, Jimmy, for 35 years, and they are blessed with 3 sons, Nathan, Levi and Luke. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending all the events her children are involved with, and attending and being active in church.

Sarah graduated in 2007 from OTC with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Following her degree in Dental Hygiene, she went on to earn her bachelors in Business Management from Evangel in 2011, where she also received the Award of Excellence. She served in the United States Air Force from 1997-2001 where she received her Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology. Sarah has been working in the dental field for a total of 15 years, 3 of which were being an assistant and 12 as a hygienist. Sarah was born and raised in South Dakota but moved to Missouri in 2002. She currently resides in Fordland with her husband Josh and their two boys.

Sonya is the friendly voice on the other end of the call eager to assist you. She has been working in this office for 3 years now, but before working in this office she was a dental assistant for 18 years for Drs Trent and JL McMillen in Springfield. She has two sons, Josh and Doug, who have blessed her with four grandchildren. Her oldest, Josh, is married to Dr. Pyle. Her favorite hobby is spending all the time she can get with her grandchildren. She is married to her husband, Dennis, and they make their home in the countryside of Seymour. She is eager and happy to assist you with your scheduling needs, questions with referrals, or making arrangements for special needs. She looks forward to helping you and making your visit as pleasant as possible.

Patti is our office manager at Pyles Smiles Family Dentistry and she is responsible for all account operations. Her business management path started 28 years ago through the Missouri Primary Care Association and ended with Drury University in 2008. She enjoys working for our patients to help them achieve maximum benefits with their insurance companies. Patti has been processing insurance claims since 1991 and her knowledge of the insurance world is a huge asset to our practice. She likes the challenge of the ever- changing insurance industry and when she is not in the office working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, kids and grandchildren on her Douglas County farm.

Kristi graduated in 2010 with an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Degree (EFDA). After graduating, she immediately started her career in the dental field with Dr. Fox and still works at the same office, continuing with Dr. Pyle since she took over in 2017. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and strives to insure everyone is informed and feeling comfortable while in her care. Her dedication to excellence shows in her clinical skills and passion for learning new techniques. Kristis love for assisting has developed a drive to continue her education at every opportunity given and is currently working on obtaining her CDA license.

Outside of the office, Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and their family dog. She can be found in the stands cheering on her children in all their extra-curricular activities and loves watching them grow. Kristi is an active member in her church and aspires daily to grow in her faith and raise her children in a Christian home.

Dr. Pyle grew up and graduated from Mansfield High School in 2008. She then went to Truman State University in Kirksville where she graduated in 2011 with a bachelors degree in Health Sciences. She went to dental school at the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated in 2015. Dr. Pyle then worked at the Southern Missouri Community Health Center in West Plains, Missouri for 2 years. While working there, she was able to gain lots of experience working on children. Dr. Pyle then purchased this practice from Dr. Michael Fox in the summer of 2017. Dr. Pyle married her high school sweetheart, Josh, and they have 2 boys, Emmett and Griffin. She lives outside of Mansfield close to her parents and enjoys spending time with her boys while not at the office.
