Theres never been a better time to straighten your teeth with the most advanced clear aligner in the world. At Puyallup Park Dental,We are proud to be a certified provider of Invisalign clear aligners, which give you a clear, convenient, and comfortable option to achieve the smile youve always wanted.

If you wish you had straighter teeth but dont want to deal with unsightly metal braces, invisible aligners could be a great option for you. Invisible aligners are a custom-made series of snug-fitting, comfortable clear aligners that gently straighten your teeth over the course of several months, and are virtually undetectable when worn. They are excellent for older teens and adults who wish to correct mild to moderate crowded teeth or spacing and bite issues.

Puyallup Park Dental Family Cosmetic Veneers Implants Invisalign Emergency - General dentist in Puyallup, WA

Unlike traditional metal braces, which are cemented onto your teeth and can only be removed by your orthodontist, invisible aligners can be removed by the wearer. Though they should be worn every single day for at least 22 hours a day for effective results, they can be removed while eating and cleaning the teeth. Each aligner is worn for two weeks and then switched to the next in the series of aligners, each piece designed to gradually and gently move your teeth into place according to your custom treatment plan. Depending on your unique case, treatment can last anywhere between three to eighteen months.

  • Appearance: Virtually undetectable, invisible aligners are especially ideal for adults who want to avoid a mouth full of metal wires and brackets. Since you remove them to eat, there is also no chance of embarrassing incidents like unknowingly having food stuck in between the wires. And best of all, your smile will look natural through every step of your treatment!

National Tooth Fairy Day is February 28th! Healthy baby teeth are so important for a young childs health and development they aid young childrens digestion, speech and social development; they help the jaw and other facial features develop properly; and they guide adult teeth into the correct positions. If a childs baby teeth are decayed, or lost or pulled too early, the child may suffer from difficulties in development as well as crooked adult teeth and other dental problems later on.

That said, baby teeth are meant to be temporary, and even the healthiest baby teeth give way to permanent, adult teeth eventually. Losing their first teeth can be a big deal for young children, and it is sometimes a confusing and frightening experience. Were here to help you make it a fun, exciting and educational time instead! Lets brush up on a quick history of the tooth fairy, and how to celebrate #ToothFairyDay!

Like many figures of childrens folklore, the Tooth Fairy varies according to country and culture. In the U.S. and Canada, the Tooth Fairy is often depicted as a small fairy with a wand and wings. But in Spain, France and Belgium, the tooth fairy is a sweet mouse who collects lost baby teeth in exchange for a small gift!

The Tooth Fairy has origins as far back as 13th century England, when people paid for baby teeth because they symbolized good luck and prosperity. But the first known reference to the modern childrens folklore figure of the Tooth Fairy dates over a hundred years ago, to a 1908 Household Hints blurb in the Chicago Tribune, as follows:

Tooth Fairy. Many a refractory child will allow a loose tooth to be removed if he knows about the Tooth Fairy. If he takes his little tooth and puts it under the pillow when he goes to bed the Tooth Fairy will come in the night and take it away, and in its place will leave some little gift. It is a nice plan for mothers to visit the 5-cent counter and lay in a supply of articles to be used on such occasions.

The Tooth Fairy that we are familiar with is at least 114 years old -- quite young compared to other childrens mythological figures. For example, the Easter Bunny is believed to be over 400 years old, and Santa Claus is over 1750 years old!

#FunFact: Tooth Fairy Day is so nice its celebrated twice on February 28th and six months later, on August 22nd. This special holiday is observed twice a year in order to encourage good and consistent dental habits for children all year round!

Children typically lose baby teeth between the ages of 6 and 12, but the schedule for losing baby teeth can be unpredictable and varies according to each child. Make sure to plan ahead of time and have small bills on hand for when your child does lose a tooth and some fun, small token for your child, like a lost tooth certificate!

Losing baby teeth should be an exciting, fun time for both children and parents. It is also a great opportunity to teach young children good dental hygiene habits. Teaching your child to keep their teeth clean and healthy by brushing and flossing daily might seem like a small thing, but it is an invaluable routine that will benefit them for their entire lives! Have a very Happy Tooth Fairy Day!

Excellent care! Very thoughtful and responsive to pain. Had my first two fillings here and I felt no pain at all. I also have sensitive teeth so regular cleanings can be painful but they provide numbing gel and constantly check to make sure I'm doing ok. Also explain everything clearly and thoroughly. Can't recommend them enough!

The best. Went to them for many years then due to illness I stopped for several years. Was a a little reluctant to go back but was warmly welcomed. Saw dentist named Dr. Sakamoto and he did a thorough exam and cleaning along with his assistant Susan. And Patti at the front desk is the glue that holds the office together. My late wife loved talking with her about our dogs.

I love this office and their staff! Patti at the front desk is amazing! She is friendly and always remembers me. It is so nice to call in or walk in and feel like family. She does her job so well. She knows the dental plans and how/what they cover. She calculates my portion and I never get a bill down the road. Lisa is my primary hygienist. She is fabulous the the reason for my review. She also always remembers you. But my favorite thing is how attentive and thorough she is her attention to detail, time commitment and thoroughness is what keeps me coming back. When I told them I didn't prefer one of the cleaning methods she happily manually scrapped teeth clean. She also educates and shares how and why you should take care of your teeth and gums. This team is about the patient. I never feel rushed or not properly taken care of.

My two daughters and I have been going here for over 13 years, we used to see Dr. Roe in this office. Nothing has changed since Dr. Park took the office over except the lovely new furniture in the waiting area. We love our hygienists Kunteena, Tiffany, and Lisa, and of course Patty the office manger/reception. We have been able to get ahold of someone after hours, in an emergency, and get an appointment right away next business day, which only happened once but was able to put my mind at ease. They have also given excellent referrals to orthodontic care for my daughters and I and a periodontist. I trust in the staff and appreciate the care we receive here.
