Dr. Jonathan Walker has enjoyed practicing dentistry in Puyallupsince 2009. Hewas born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. Hereceived his bachelor's degree in biology from Brigham YoungUniversity-Idaho, and received his doctorate degree from CaseWestern Reserve University School of Dental Medicine inCleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Walker and his wife Caprice, a local NW beauty fromEdgewood, met in undergrad and decided to settle in Puyallup toraise their family of five boys. Dr. Walker enjoys working out,running, competing in Spartan obstacle races, playing piano andsaxophone, and spending time with his family.
In 2015, Dr. Walker founded Walker Family Dental on South Hilland is dedicated to serving patients with the best care, honesty,and a little fun. He is a member of the Pierce County DentalSociety and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Christopher Carlson grew up in southern Arizona among thelarge saguaro cacti.He traveled to the state of Nebraska tocomplete his undergraduate education at Creighton Universitywhere he met his wife, Rachel. The pair then moved toColoradowhere Christopher earned his doctorate degree at the Universityof Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Because providingoptimal care to his patientswas a top priority for Dr. Carlson, hecompleted a year of general hospital residency at the University ofWashington where he expanded his skill set working on advanceddental and surgical cases. Having experience working in achallenging hospital setting has allowed Dr. Carlson to workquickly and efficiently to help patients achieve their dental goals.
Outside of dentistry Dr. Carlson and Rachel enjoy outdooractivities such as hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. They love to try new restaurants and are always open to new suggestions. Although Dr. Carlson comes from the sunny desertheat, he thoroughly enjoys the Pacific Northwest and all thevarying climates.
Dr. Nicole Ters recently moved to Washington from Big Island, Hawaii. She spent two years there, completing her Advanced Education in General Dentistry and serving the community in a public health clinic. Dr. Ters learned a lot about patient care during her residency and she always makes the safety and comfort of her patients a priority.

I've been coming here for a few years and would gladly recommend any 'nervous' dentist goers to visit any of the three doctors here! Dr. Carlson, Dr. Walker, and Dr. Ters are all extremely kind, gentle, and take their time during my procedures to make sure I'm doing okay and I don't need a break. The assistants are always friendly at getting me checked into my chair for the dentist and it's always nice to see the playful banter and amazing workflow that these teams provide for their patients. I've had exams, X-rays, cleanings (they will ultrasonic scale vs hand scale if requested!), fillings, temporary crowns, and permanents that have all held up amazing and I have no issues with. If I ever need an adjustment on a crown/bite, they are QUICK to get me in, and it's easy to get my appointments scheduled. I am very happy with Puyallup Family Dental and my patient care that I receive here!

Nope. I am a licensed medical professional of many years. I walked in, waited 5 minutes and left due to the unsafe conditions of this practice. No one was wearing a mask (even staff were not properly masked) and my temp was taken improperly. This may seem like a hot issue right now, but for some one who is disabled, or immunocompromised it is simple: this means we don't get to go to the dentist, or get our painful teeth cared for. Because this dental practice doesn't feel like asking their staff and patients to do the simplest of things so that everyone can receive care. Apparently Puyallup Family Dental doesn't seem concerned with the health and well being of their disabled patients. As a medical professional this is infuriating, as a disabled person, this is heart breaking.

Our family has been going to this practice for over a year now. They are professional and provide the best dental care and treatment. Today the receptionist went above and beyond . While I was waiting in the car for my kids dental appointments to be finished up I went to start my car to turn on the heat and the battery was dead. She brought her car and jumper cables and helped a mom out. Thank you so much ! Please give this young woman a raise ! Customer care A +

The staff really bent over backwards for me to get me in before my insurance lapsed, and were very nice in answering all my questions about pricing etc so I can weigh my options carefully. My hygienist was also super friendly and their office looks very nice! 5 stars

I had to have a root canal. I've had fairly good dental treatment in the past in Virginia, but I hadn't been to see a dentist in at least 12 years. The treatment I received at this practice was excellent. The dentist is stellar at what he does. The whole procedure was almost totally pain free and not frightening at all. The office staff--from the front desk people to the hygienists---are very helpful, friendly, and professional. I still need to have more work done and I look forward to having it done with this practice. I will definitely be recommending this practice to my family, friends, and co-workers.
