As a child, my dream was actually to become a veterinarian. This was probably because my parents did not allow me to have any pets and so I figured this was the only way I would get to be around animals. This dream persisted until I was an undergraduate student at USC and began taking courses in human biology and anatomy and found it fascinating. At the time, my older brother was a student at the UCLA School of Dentistry and encouraged me to also pursue dentistry. I love dentistry because it allows me to create beautiful smiles, improve patients self-esteem, build lasting relationships, and truly transform peoples lives. I have seen many of my former child patients return as adults with children of their own. One of my current dental assistants has been a patient of mine since she was seven years old.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, majoring in psychobiology.I earned my dental degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1990 and then completed a postgraduate Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1991.I was awarded the prestigious status of Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1995 and also maintain active membership in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Los Angeles Dental Society.
My staff and I are committed to providing exceptional customer service and treating each and every patient with the kindness and respect they deserve in a calm, pleasant, and friendly environment.I realize that many people are nervous about going to the dentist and my staff and I are committed to easing every patients fears and making them feel comfortable and relaxed in our office.We ensure that each patient is treated in a gentle and caring manner.
I believe in staying at the forefront of dental technology and techniques through advanced education.I continue to improve my knowledge and skills through continuing education courses and hands-on training in all aspects of general dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, endodontic therapy, periodontal therapy, and full-mouth rehabilitation.
I have two wonderful sons, Jordan and Kyle. I love spending time with them and traveling the world with them. I also enjoy Bikram yoga and hiking. And I finally have pets of my own a Corgi and a Husky!
As strange as it sounds, I enjoyed going to my family dentist as a child. It may have been the prizes she gave me for having no cavities, the video games in the waiting room, or her actively listening to my updates on school, but I always looked forward to my biannual checkups. As I got older, I realized that this was not the case for most people. For most people, visiting the dentist is an anxiety-inducing chore. As an undergraduate student at UCLA, I returned to my family dentist to shadow her and quickly discovered my future profession. I also recognized the hard work and dedication that went into making her office such a welcoming environment for her patients. I knew not only that I wanted to be a dentist, but one that is dedicated to providing compassionate, gentle, and patient-focused care. I make it my priority to develop trust with my patients and educate them on their oral health.
Prior to dental school, I obtained a Masters Degree in Cell Molecular Biology at Tulane University. I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at USC and after dental school, I pursued advanced training through a general practice residency program at the Sepulveda Veterans Affairs Hospital treating medically compromised patients. At the VA, I provided comprehensive care to our veterans, including crowns, bridges, surgical placement, and restorations of implants, dentures, root canals, and oral surgery.

Lovely staff. They always make sure I'm comfortable and accommodated. I'm super forgetful and they're really good with reminding me and confirming with me. Flexible with scheduling. I also feel a lot of shame usually about how little I floss and they're super understanding and encouraging with the little things like that. Wonderful office.

They must have bots in google reviews. First visit and they tried to say I needed 6 crowns and two fillings. I went to 4 other dentists, different companies, used up all my x-ray coverage, and found they were completely wrong. Do not come here. Purple Vine practices dental abuse.

Purple Vine Dental The Dental Team is Amazing. Everyone is Caring, Companionate, Respectful, and Knowledgeable !!! Every time I come to this office I feel welcome, from the front desk welcoming to the treatment team. Excellent customer service, they explained everything very well, they have Spanish speaking personal and they will always make you feel like home. Dr Lee is the best tooth doc I've had for my cleaning and orthodontics. I had to leave for a couple years due to insurance issues, but came back as soon as I got that sorted because of the treatment I received at Purple Vine.

I found Purple Vine on Google review. What made me go to Purple Vine, individuals had positive outcomes. On my first day visiting, the staff was very welcoming, kind, and attentive to the patients. The staff also gives new patients a gift bag with a welcoming card. Dr. Tran is amazing, as are the rest of the staff. After years of not going to the dentist. I felt right in place, and I regret not coming sooner. Don't be hesitant to go, Dr. Tran and the rest of the staff will take care of you. I recommend it to anyone that wants to get their teeth and gums healthy.

Wow! Is what I have to say about Dr Ernie, who performed a thorough deep cleaning on my teeth. I was never in any pain like I have been at other dentist offices. She injected me in different spots inside my mouth but I barely felt a pinch each time. She was extremely gentle moving the needle around to spread the anesthesia and even more gentle to take the needle out. She let me rest my jaw in between cleaning each side, asked me constantly if I was ok and she even massaged my cheeks at the very end and it felt like heaven. Thank you Dr Ernie, you really care about your patients! And big thanks to all the staff, they are awesome, too!

I use to go to a dental location in Glendale and they were always so angry. My family switched to this location and it was a breath of fresh air. Everyone has such a positive energy. Purple Vine Dental is Great! Dr. Lee and hygienist Annie Shi is amazing! They are super informative, honest, and extremely friendly. The entire staff is great! Office itself is super clean and organize! I especially love the nice quotes/messages in their restroom walls.

I DESPISE going to the dentist - it's seriously one of my biggest fears in my life. Due to COVID-19, I didn't get a chance to get my teeth checked for a while and was scared to go to any in-person appointments, however, I'm so glad I found Dr.Tran at Purple Vine Dental! The office staffs were super friendly and the office looked really clean and nice, which made me very feel safe. Dr.Tran was super nice, detailed, and easygoing. She was very efficient and walked me through the procedures that I was going to have. She really helped me alleviate my cavities and anxieties! Thank you, Dr.Tran!!
