Michelle is originally from Puertro Rico, and shes been working in dentistry since 1995. She has experience in just about every aspect of the field, from assisting to consulting. Her organizational skills and extensive knowledge of dentistry, the insurance system, and treatment planning make her a great fit for her position! She loves to help people in every way she can.
Outside of work, Michelle and her husband Marvin have two grown daughters Karla is working in law while Karen is attending VCU and working towards becoming a dentist herself! In her free time, she enjoys hiking, dancing, bike riding, cooking, drawing, and singing. In the past, shes also traveled to third world countries on dental missions in order to serve the less fortunate.
Originally from El Salvador, Mariela first joined the Purple Plum team around five years ago, and she has well over a decade of experience in the dental world overall. Her favorite part of the job is being able to meet such diverse people every day! She is certified in CPR and radiography.
Elizabeth was born and raised right here in Virginia! She completed a dental program called DATS to become a dental assistant and has undergone additional training in radiography and CPR. She is passionate about helping patients smile and looks forward to many more years in the dental field.
Outside of the office, Elizabeth likes to travel, take pictures, and cook. She also enjoys shopping and exploring DC with her boyfriend Ethan, so she knows all the best spots to eat and shop! Heres something you may not know about her: she has a Peruvian and Japanese background!

I had the greatest experience ever, today with any dentist! I have never had any dentist who looked at my dental problem in such a holistic approach! Dr. Anita Kianimanesh looked at my general health, my medical condition, my family background, the risks of starting a treatment now when I'm in the middle of another treatment, and Dr. Kianimanesh's promise that she will work in close Collaboration with my specialist... She's the BEST of the BEST ever! I have an uncle who is a dentist, (in another country) but even he never mentioned me everything I learned today . I just don't want any other dentist in my life but Dr. Kiani! And everyone is so kind! Today was a fun day, since it's Halloween, and some staff was dressed in Harry Potter costumes. The rapport they creat with the clients is amazing! Thank you very much and and really hope a life in the hands of this dental office! Congratulations to everyone working here. Thank you, thank you very much!

You have to be careful because they will charge you something that never did for you, they charge me two times exam in a week, and I have to pay for my next exam from my pocket. be very careful with this office!!!!

Purple Plum is filled with professional, caring, and friendly staff and dentists. They even went above and beyond by answering a question related to our daughter when her dentist was closed one day, and then asked how she was doing when I went the following week. They are fantastic!

Wow! After years (and I do mean YEARS) of searching, I have finally found a dentist I am excited about! Dr. Kiani and her very personable and professional staff are caring and efficient! One visit and I am sold. *Please note I have a very small mouth and HATED going to the dentist, I am beyond picky!

I'm a 3X cancer survivor, currently on monthly chemo. The entire Purple Plum Dentistry Staff has been nothing but amazing since my very first visit. My procedures, needs & dental care future plans are very sensitive and Dr.Anita and each staff member made me feel so welcomed, protected and hopeful with each visit. IF you want transparency - MAKE an appointment to Purple Plum. IF you want the "make you feel like family" feel at a dentist visit - MAKE an appointment to Purple Plum. Dr. A. Kianimanesh, DMD and staff were everything I had hoped to experience when I decided that to make my first appointment with them. When I say 'transparent' I mean the staff manager will provide you with a detailed information of your visit - I mean DETAILED oriented! Which I absolutely love about this dentistry. Yes, the information will feel overwhelming BUT the staff manager sits with you step by step explaining with listening with compassion and sincerity. The same is reflected coming from Dr. Kianimanesh. She takes care of business with you. Getting down to the nitty-gritty of cleaning , taking thorough pictures, and truly getting to the 'root' issue (<<< yes a pun, but its not to down play her work or professionalism as a Dentist Doctor). And at the end of it all Dr. Kianimanesh will sit with you like an end-consultation and gives you an clear picture and over all comprehension of the visit and other issues or issues that could turn into bigger issues later. She did not feel pushy for surgery or made me feel rushed or uncomfortable in any way! At the end of my consultation with her I was in tears of relief, because she was able to offer the help I have been looking for for years, years of me being turned down and told what I have could not be helped. I truly respect this dentistry's work ethics, mission, patient oriented -centered care, the professionalism and although it was my very first visit - I felt like I have been coming to them for years. Staff is friendly, sweet and warm. I left their office feeling so rewarded and safe and truly cared for. Keep up the great work !

The atmosphere is good, people are good the service is not. The dentist completed service of a inter proximal filing with two teeth and no space to floss. Which lead to a larger filing and a crown because of the seal around the filling. My mother had a lot of work done and it left her with a lot of issues and a lost tooth. Just beware.

Just finished my torque test. And my overwhelming feeling is "I love my dentist." All of the staff at every level is kind, compassionate, caring, and competent. The office environment is both serene, beautifully purple, and cutting edge technology. When you get older and the dental work is more complex, it means a lot to have such a pleasant, professional, and unique environment. I love everything about this office from the beautiful names, Dr. Anita Kianimanesh, Dr. Hassan Fadi (hope i got all the spellings) to the gentle professionals. Having dental work done is hard, but they make me feel special and well-cared for.

Dr. Kiani and everyone at Purple Plum are amazing. They are incredibly friendly and fun to talk to. Dr. Kiani is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and talented in her profession. She is great with her patients and provides the most helpful and current information and advice. Her front desk employees, assistants, and hygienists are skilled, friendly, and do a wonderful job as well. Everyone takes great care with their patients, working gently, but effectively. They have done a wonderful job with all services, from filling in my cavities, to helping me through Invisalgn, and filling in my broken teeth. Their office is beautiful and calming, it feels more like a spa than a dentist office, which is something I've never experienced at other offices. They also schedule their appointments effectively and I've never had to wait to be seen. Easy parking as well, which is always a plus. I sincerely look forward to and enjoy my appointments with them. Purple Plum is the best dentistry I've ever been to.
