Dr. Rivera grew up enjoying the beautiful mountains and sunny beaches of Puerto Rico. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Puerto Rico and earned his Doctorate degree from the reputable University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine (2000). He was well recognized for his leadership and excellent workmanship in dentistry. He was president of his class, graduated with honors and was recipient of the 2000 Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship and Dr. Fernando Ordonez Awards.
Since receiving his dental degree in 2000, he has worked in different settings, including private dental practices and Ryder Memorial Hospital HIV Clinic (Project CIS) in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Then in 2012 with the support of his 3 wonderful children and his wife Leticia, Dr. Rivera decided to broaden his horizons and moved to Central Florida where he has been practicing and providing his patients with the best dentistry has to offer.
Dr. Rivera worked as PC President for Smile Brands Inc. of Central Florida and lead dentist for Bright Now Dental, where he won the OPAL Award and VIBE Award earning the title of East Region General Dentist of the year for his outstanding work and leadership.
Dr. Rivera obtains his excellence by attending many hours of continuing education each year. This is what enables his practice to grow with evolving dental techniques and latest high-tech equipment and procedures. Best of all, Dr. Rivera loves to take care of patients with dental anxiety/fear and with his extensive training, experience, honest and open communication helps them overcome their stress for dental procedure and settings. To stay in the cutting edge of dentistry, Dr. Rivera maintains membership in several prestigious organizations including the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, CFDDA and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. He gives back to the community by donating his services through Smiles for Everyone Foundation during the last four years providing dental treatment to patients in need. In his leisure time, Dr. Rivera is passionate about family-oriented activities, traveling, enjoying nature, sightseeing, and BBQ for family and friends.
