Hello, Im Dr. Simon Bangiyev. I am trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery which includes dentoalveolar surgery (treatment of diseases of the teeth, soft tissue, and the jawbone), facial trauma, surgical correction of malocclusion (orthognathic) surgery, pathology, the treatment of TMJ disorders, and implantology. My goal working with every patient is to provide the most advanced and compassionate care.

I started my career in the USSR at the Tashkent Medical Institute. Soon after arriving in the United States, I enrolled in St. Johns University in Queens, NY, where I received both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Certificate of completion from the Physician Assistant accelerated program.

As a physician assistant, I worked in the Department of General Surgery at both St. Johns and Mary Immaculate Hospitals where I was immediately recognized by both patients and attending staff for my hard work and dedication to patient care. Through my work at Mary Immaculate Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, I was intimately involved in the integrated care of trauma patients, including those with facial injuries, an experience which spurred my interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, during which I was recognized by NYSSOMS for my outstanding achievements in Oral Surgery. I then completed an integrated residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where I also received my medical degree.

I went tonight to get my teeth cleaned and I told the dental hygienist, my permanent retainer had been loose for a few years and to be careful in that area as I have always been . This is a retainer that has been in for over 30 years!!! Never has been a problem nor has ever fallen out..!! Well the hygienist went to hard and it fell out ; Dr. Gomez has the nerve to charge me for putting it back in !! $200, I even asked her to split the difference and I would pay $100 and she said No!! I'm very upset and if it wasn't for my sons braces my family would not be going back! I will not be going back to her as she is very rude ! She should not be charging me for her staff's incompetence!

Always friendly and attentive to your needs. Very helpful with insurance benefits and questions. An all around good experience. Dr Gomez takes the time with patients to explain the procedures she will be administering.

(Translated by Google) I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC... The suggestions why NOT... would be extremely extensive, based on my experience; but I will try to summarize in a few topics. YOUR DENTAL HEALTH IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL HEALTH. Note. The word SUPPOSED SUPPOSEDLY will be used as a synonym of relativity that DOES NOT AFFIRM OR DENY, due to lack of circumstantial evidence. It is the responsibility of the reader to use it based on their experience. That said...IF YOU STILL WANT TO RISK... 1st. Be very insistent on knowing what your copays are for that procedure you need and are recommended. 2nd..Write down the name of the assistant, front desk clerk, or specialist who offered you those approximate copay numbers. 3rd. Keep in mind that they will supposedly use a software to give you that estimate, and that it can vary... of course, generally do not expect that variation to be to pay less; Nor should it come as a surprise that after paying a supposed copay, other pending payments arrive at your address because the insurance has supposedly changed your final coverage. As explained to me by Dr. Norma herself. 4th. Don't be surprised if they don't seem very interested in talking about money and future payments on the day they offer you the procedure; that will happen days before the dental procedure or the same day, I assume supposedly that they do it so that you do not get doubly stressed. EYE, take these estimates in writing at all times, if necessary, said by whom, from day 1 and you will draw your own conclusions. 5th. Any complaint or suggestion can be sent to Dr. Norma G, however, be very careful with your expressions of frustration and displeasure due to some bad administrative or technical experience, because curiously, Dr. will explain after her apologies, the supposed good performance of her employees, with little or no responsibility and to conclude, he will even offer you civil law lessons, reminding you that "they are all good and honest people, trying to do their job in the best possible way and I consider any contrary statement to be defamation"-textual.Dra Norma . If it seems like a threat or warning, it may just be your subjective interpretation. Although the professional interline language leaves much to be desired. Well, apparently the hundreds of good opinions are more relevant than the negative 7 and 8 with me. Good luck to all... I wish you not to go through my own bad experiences in this clinic and MAKE TIMELY AND WISE DECISIONS... YOUR DENTAL HEALTH IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL HEALTH. (Original) No RECOMENDARIA ESTA CLINICA...

I had a filling fall out that had just been put in in a couple weeks before by another dentist. I called over to Pure Smiles to change dentists. We all know setting up your service with your insurance can be a twister. The staff there worked so hard to get everything setup. They are an amazing front desk staff. The next step was having Dr Gomez repair my tooth. I am 66 years old and I have had a lot of experience with doctors and dentists. After years of experience, you know talent when you experience it. My verdict? I am sort of kicking myself for not changing dentists to Pure Smiles long before this. Dr Gomez was great. Absolutely painless, and I didn't use novocaine! That's skill! Well It's been a week and my tooth is still feeling great. More: The facility is clean, up to date, and there is ample parking right on Route One in Branford, CT. I have set up MY schedule of dental care. I'll be back to Pure Smiles in a few months. I'm looking forward to my appointment with full confidence. - DK - Aug 30- 2022

Hello. Had my first appointment June 24,2022. Appointment was made with dentist Michelle Hanover. I never met any dentist while at my appointment. I met Martha who was very nice and helpful then another woman comes in never identifies herself and looks at X-ray and says u need this pulled amongst many other X-rays for full mouth. I told her I could not come mornings multiple times and up to me leaving the room she kept saying u can come tomorrow at 9 am. I feel like when making a appt with a dentist u should see a dentist. I also feel like I was unheard to the point where this other woman may as well have been reading off a script and not listening at all. Will and Martha ty for ur help but unfortunately I will not be returning. This was not a good experience and I def would not recommend this practice to anyone. I left fully aggravated.

If you are looking for a clinic that takes advantage of your insurance and does not treat you like a person this is the place for you. I have never had such a terrible experience...from painful x-rays and cleanings, to rude staff, and disorganized scheduling.

I had teeth/mouth experiences when I was younger which caused me great anxiety about having my teeth cleaned. But choosing to become a patient at Pure Smiles was the best decision ever! The staff at reception are always friendly, the dental hygienist is always gentle and caring. Dr. Gomez is awesome and she has the best team to support her!

I am now going to Dr. Gomez after being followed by my dentist for over 40 years. Everyone at the practice is kind and very cooperative. I was taken right away at my appointment time, and I had a positive and painless experience having a cavity filled. It is truly a wonderful practice!
