Dr. Pimental received her degree from the CEU School of Dentistry of the Philippines in 2000. Following graduation, she received further training from UCLA School of Dentistry in Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. She worked for four years as a dedicated school dentist serving underdeveloped areas of Southern California. Dr. Pimentel is dedicated to the newest advancements in dental technologies and an active member of the American Dental Association( ADA), California Dental Association (CDA) and the Local San Mateo Dental Chapter. When Dr. Pimentel is not practicing her passion in dentistry, she spends her time with family especially her two adorable children.

Dr. Sy has 32 years of experience under her belt. Dr.Sy started practicing in 1980 and attended UCLA review one year program. Then She Attended USDI( United States Dental Institute) and obtained an Orthodontic experience. Dr.Sy Speaks Multiple languages including Chinese, Tagalog and English. When Dr.Sy away from her office she enjoys traveling and quilting. She dedicate her time to her children education, a daughter with a master in Biology and a son attending Cal Berkeley School of Engineering
Dr.Kotrob is a Dentist who is passionate about art especially Filmmaking. After Graduating from Damascus University in 1997 with a Doctor in Dental Surgery( DDS); he relocated to the united states and obtained his Dental board in 2003. He attended UCLA review course for California Dental Board in 2004. While Practicing and learning more about the newest Dental Advancements; He completed his study and obtained his Bachelor in Fine Art from Brooks Institute of Photography in 2009 majoring Film and Video Production. Dr.Kotrob Splits his time between his two passions, Dentistry and Filmmaking. He is an active member of American Dental Association(ADA), California Dental Association(CDA)and San Mateo Dental Local chapter.

Dr. Kotrob was thoughtful and thorough. He provided excellent care and great results.

I have tried many times to reach someone at this office. I have left several messages and texts. They just don't care about taking care of patient's needs. When I finally got someone to call me back, I told them I had called them all last week with no return, and I asked why and they just said "we were closed".! I asked why and they said "um, the doctor was out". So, no message on their phone to say "Sorry we are closed this week!, But leave your message and we'll get right back to you." Clearly, they don't know how to run a business, or care anything about customer service! I just want my records so I can move to another Dentist that cares!! I wish there was a way to give them NO stars.

Cons: - poorly organized office - staff/receptionist do not run it smoothly - on multiple instances my appointment was canceled/delayed.. 1 time I showed up for my appointment and they didn't have my lab work (crowns) delivered - as a BUSINESS unit it sucks Why 5 star review I got 4 crowns and 6 veneers done there. 1 the dentist Dr Kotrob did a very thorough tooth prep (didn't rush and was very meticulous with each tooth) 2 the dentist made temp crowns himself...and took some time to make them fully comfortable for me A lot of other dentists outsource it to dental assistant to save time and increase $ earned per /hr. 3 My temp crowns fit me well(no gum issues, no pain etc). 4 Once my perm crowns were made the dentist examined them VERY thoroughly for both esthetics and functionality. As a result all of the veneers and crowns that I got fit me really well and I was happy with how they look - I had zero issues with my bite, teeth sensitivity etc. - From day #1 crowns and veneers just felt very natural in my mouth. Dr Kotrob is a great thorough dentist with a good eye for esthetics. I recently went to another dentist with a very nice organized office. Very courteous stuff, very smooth scheduling, superb equipment However I got poorly fitting crowns because the dentist was overbooked, rushed and outsourced 70% of the work to assistant. He was trying to maximize profit per hr instead of focusing on providing the best quality of treatment. Dr Kotrob on the contrary always tried to give my teeth attention and time. As a dentist he deserves 5 stars. As a business owner/business runner he would get a different rating:)

Dishonest and unprofessional. After confirming my appointment via email and phone, I showed up to a closed office. During my rescheduled appointment, they said they could not do a cleaning until they did a deep cleaning and cavity removal first which they wanted me to schedule. They gave me a $3,500 estimate. I went to Arch Street Dental in Redwood City and they said I had no cavities, and did not need a deep clean. They cleaned my teeth for under $500 with no insurance. Unless you like getting scammed, look elsewhere!

I have been coming here for sometime and I love it. Staff are very nice, patient and professional. I never leave with unanswered questions. Dental work is of upmost quality and I never had one issue with treatments done. Very clean and organized everyone is amazing. I will always come here for dental work and yes I highly recommend for quality work and such amazing staff and a clean neat office.

After shopping around for a new dentist I found that Pure Smile was the clear choice. I have now had seven teeth updated to last the rest of my life. What a relief! Dr Koltrab is a genuinely kind and caring person. Hes a total professional and you feel at ease .. I am completely satisfied and would recommend them whole heartedly!

The staff here are pretty awesome. I went here for a veneer groupon that I purchased. Although we had some difficulty in getting the order correct from the veneer lab, the staff was very patient with me every time I went into the office. They really do take their time and make sure they get it right. The office is also very clean, although small, and has beautiful photography hanging that the dentist did himself. Overall, great!
