Dr. Shane Klingonsmith attended the University of Pennsylvanias School of Dental Medicine. As a student, he was selected as one of an exceptional few in his class to practice dentistry in the Penn Dental Faculty Practice, alongside UPENNs prestigious faculty of specialists.
His passion for excellence earned him and invitation to stay at UPENN for a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) and ultimately led to a job offer as a faculty dentist. Dr. Klingonsmith turned down an offer of full time employment to enter private practice.
Since 2003, Dr. Klingonsmith has continued his passion for clinical expertise, completing advanced coursework in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, pedodontics, periodontics, sedation, and public health. His commitment to lifelong education means he is constantly evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide his patients the highest level of comfort and care.
Graduating from Freedom High School in 1982, Kelley went on to specialize in catering services. After working several years in the food industry, Kelley decided to pursue a career in the dental field. Being a real people person, this was a very good career choice for her and a lucky one for our office. Kelley graduated from the Lehigh Valley Dental Assisting School in 1997. She has been a part of our dental team since 2001. Whenever you hear laughter that is where you will find Kelley. She makes everyone feel at ease and comfortable at the dental office. She has the special knack of making you feel as if you have been friends with her for you entire life. Originally from Bethlehem, Kelley and her husband now live in Coplay. Kelley and Jeff live very busy lives with their grown children and grandson. They enjoy riding motorcycles and playing with their lab/pit-bull mix baby of the family Bree.
Originally from Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Helene graduated from Northampton Community College in 1981 as a dental hygienist. She has been a part of our dental team since 1998. She attends continuing education courses to keep our patients informed on the latest materials, products and treatment options. Helene enjoys patient interaction, educating patients, and helping to make their dental visit a relaxed and pleasant experience. Helene and her husband Bill have been married since 1986. They are very busy, proud parents of four beautiful teenagers. She enjoys hanging out with her family, watching them play soccer and playing with their dog, Hooper.
Jane graduated from Northampton Community College as a dental hygienist in 1988. She has been a member of our team since 2002. In the beginning she was our temporary fill-in hygienist for maternity leaves. When the opportunity arose for us to have her on a regular schedule, we jumped on it! Everyone should experience a pleasant dental hygiene visit. With Janes calm, soothing personality, all patient anxiety will be alleviated. Patients can enjoy a stress free hygiene visit with Janes warm gentle nature. Our office is very lucky to have Jane as part of our team. Jane resides in Northampton with her husband, Henry. They have two beautiful children. The family enjoys traveling, but skiing is Janes favorite sport.

I have been avoiding the dentist after dozens of horrible experiences, I finally went to Pure Family Dentistry due to its convenient location. 10/10 Everyone is incredibly friendly, understanding of my unique needs, and knowledgeable. I love all of the hospitality they offer! Being able to listen to music or watch Netflix helps put me at ease while they work. Very glad I found them!

Absolutely the best dental appointment I have ever had, this was the right choice. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They painlessly helped me with a complicated insurance problem and there was NO WAITING for the cleaning or the review with Dr. Shane when I was done. PFD has my highest recommendation.

I am 60. I have been to a number of different dentists over the years. I can say without reservation that Dr. Klingonsmith is the most caring, gentle, skilled, thorough and painless dentist I have ever visited. He gets my highest rating. I also give his dental technicians and office staff my highest rating. They are friendly, attentive, skilled and caring. I don't mind going to the dentist any more.
