Dr. Michael Puissegur is a member of the American (ADA), Louisiana (LDA) and Acadiana (ADDA) Dental Associations. Dr. Mike has been in practice since 1980, right here in Lafayette, Louisiana. Ready to dazzle up your beautiful smile. Meet Tori Bayard, our Registered Dental Hygienist. Tori is originally from New Iberia but was raised in the town of Youngsville. She graduated from Erath High School and pursued her academic goals at ULL. She later transferred to the University of Louisiana Monroe where she graduated in 2020, with her bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. She loves football season (especially LSU and Saints) and supporting Joe Burrow and the Bengals of course! In her spare time, you can find her spoiling her cat Ash. Tori also loves traveling to the beach and spending time with friends and family. She is a summer girl but also just recently fell in love with snow skiing, too. Her goal is to travel to Greece one day. Tori chose dental hygiene because she has always loved going to the dentist and loves making patients feel good about their smiles and helping them improve their oral health.
If you mention Puissegur Family Dentistry, this little gem of an assistant is the rock of our practice. Shannon joined our team in April 1990 and has been devoted to our patients well being ever since. She earned her expanded duty dental assistant certification in April 1994, from LSU School of Dentistry, and is CPR certified. She has attended numerous continuing education classes to keep current with todays dental changes. Shannon is also our OSHA regulatory manager. It is not uncommon to find her bouncing from room to room without hesitation to provide quality care to our patients. Shannon is Dr. Mikes right hand, and can usually read his mind in assisting with dental needs. She indeed is a vital and very important asset to our practice. Shannon is happily married, is a proud parent of a United States Marine, and has two stepchildren all of whom she adores. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and bakes the best chocolate chip cookies.
In March 2016, Angie rejoined our practice as our Patient and Financial Coordinator. She previously worked with Dr. Mike in 1988, as his dental assistant. In January 2018, she gladly accepted the position of Business Office Manager. Angie has extensive managerial experience and has worked in the dental field for over 25 years. She is extremely happy to be a part of the tight-knit family of Puissegur Family Dentistry once again. She works diligently for our patients to get the most out of dental insurance benefits and coordinating financial matters. Angie has been married to her high school sweetheart since 1980. She is the proud mother of two children and has five beautiful grandchildren who are her heart and soul. You can find Angie cooking and baking for her family on the weekends and enjoying quality family time. She also loves decorating and antique shopping as well as traveling.
When you walk into our office, you will be greeted by our newest team member, Kylie. She is our Scheduling Coordinator who joined our practice in September 2018. Kylie comes to us with many talents and offers a cheery smile and upbeat personality to all who meet her. She also completed her training as a dental assistant in 2013. You can find her enjoying many activities in her spare time such as camping, deer hunting, fishing, singing as well as numerous art and craft projects.

Exceptional dental care for your entire family of all ages. Friendly highly knowledgeable staff that goes out of their way to accommodate you when needed. Dr. Puissegur is the kind and considerate to his patients. I highly recommend this dental office.

I was having extreme pain in a decaying tooth, the staff remember found an opening to get me in a day early. The entire staff is incredible. They are helpful, informed, and don't shame you (some other dentists will). Dr. Puissegur works quickly, but is patient and thorough. I am looking forward to my next appointment, for a root canal.

Dr Mike is the first dentist in decades that has not caused me pain. NO PAIN, he pulled teeth, drilled teeth and more. Dr. Mike and the Ladies in his office made me feel so comfortable. I just put headphones on took a deep breathe and relaxed. I did not even feel the shots going into my mouth. I can only tell you of my experience, but I will tell you Puissegur Family Dentistry really care. And to me that is a game changer. Thank You Puissegur Family Dentistry.
