This is a late review for services received a couple of years ago. This review speaks more to the financial office and how they bill and does not necessarily reflect the dental team and their capabilities. Review: I've been to many dental offices in my time but this one is probably the most unprofessional and egregious I've ever encountered. After going through the normal x-rays I proceeded to the cleaning. Throughout the cleaning I was berated by Dr Pak about my poor teeth, gum line, brushing, really everything. I didn't mind though because I didn't disagree that I had poor habits and overall bad dental hygiene. Due to my poor teeth I was told to come back and show improvement in my dental hygiene by working on my brushing and rinsing my mouth with salt water. I didn't disagree with the requests but I found it odd Dr Pak couldn't have at least completed the cleaning since it was so weird to stop midway and say your teeth is bad so I won't clean until you improve. In about a month I did return to complete my cleaning after showing the improvements requested, but this is where I start to notice the unprofessionalism. I didn't realize until after, but during the first 'cleaning' session I was billed my deductible. After returning the second time to complete the cleaning I was then asked to pay it again. I was in disbelief that they completely lost track of my payment. If I didn't have a record, and the receipt, I'm sure they would have made me pay it again. Moreover, I later found out that the deductible didn't have to be paid since all I did was the cleaning which is 100% covered as a general service. The worst is I found they billed my insurance twice for supposedly 'two' cleanings, but in reality I only ever received one cleaning since Dr Pak decided himself to stop midway through the first cleaning to have me complete it at a later date. Looking back I still can't believe I was billed for two cleanings in less than a month. This would have meant the next scheduled cleaning (in 6 months time) would have been fully responsible by me and not covered under my plan. In addition, I soon learned they billed me for a bunch of random services that I never received in hopes of getting extra 'free' money from my insurance. Now I didn't realize this until after receiving my benefits statement from my dental insurance. I know I didn't receive those services because my plan doesn't cover them 100% so any received services outside of a cleaning would have required me paying my portion, which they didn't charge me because it never happened. I simply couldn't believe how greedy the office was to request money for services not performed. For those the have insurance I would recommend avoiding this place and taking your money someplace else. I think it's easy not to notice since most people will receive only routine dental services where the insurance will cover any cost you may encounter. If you do choose to go be sure to pay close attention to your billing as I'm sure I'm not the only one they've taken advantage of. Make sure to dispute any charges so they don't simply steal money for services not received because ignoring them may affect your plan limit and your ability to receive (unforeseen) dental services you may actually need.
