Because we have four doctors in our practice, and we consult with one another on every case, each patient has four experts developing his or her treatment plan. And because we utilize the most proven treatment processes, and our offices are equipped with the latest technologies for diagnostics and care, our patients enjoy shorter treatment times and stronger, lasting results.

We understand that each patients orthodontic needs and goals in seeking treatment are different, so we develop customized treatment plans that work specifically for them and their requirements. Every treatment step has options, and we identify which are right for that patient.

At our practice, we believe its essential that patients and parents are involved in the process. We welcome parents into our treatment areas to be part of the experience. Questions from patients and parents are encouraged, and our team is skilled at explaining different aspects of care, such as what is happening and why it needs to happen, in an accessible manner.

We also believe in getting to know our patients and families on a personal level, to develop lasting relationships with them. Each of us loves to meet new people and hear their stories, swap jokes, and learn about their lives.

Dr. Margaret Pitrone is originally from the Philippines, where she attended Grace Christian School. She received her Bachelor of Science in medical technology from George Washington University. In 1993, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Dental School with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She completed specialty training in orthodontics at Howard University in 1995.She is a board-certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Pitrone finds it extremely rewarding to see a patient who was once shy or self-conscious smiling more and being more confident. It is this passion that compels her to strive to stay current with the latest technology and the most innovative treatment techniques through numerous professional memberships and continuing education opportunities.

Dr. Pitrone is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and the Carroll County Dental Society, for which she has served as president. She is currently a Preferred Invisalign Provider and an Invisalign Teen Provider.

When not creating smiles at the office, Dr. Pitrone likes to spend time with her husband Paul, and daughters Megan and Jennaliese. She enjoys unwinding by relaxing at the beach, visiting and exploring new places, and trying new recipes!

Dr. Stacey Sorkin was born and raised in Louisiana. She attended Tulane University in New Orleans and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering in 1995. She then received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1999 at Boston University Dental School. The following year she completed a general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in New York. She completed her post-graduate training in orthodontics at New York University in 2002.

Dr. Sorkin attends the annual AAO national orthodontic meeting, and takes courses on Invisalign, Damon self-ligating brackets, and any course that has to do with new technology. Not only does Dr. Sorkin take pride in attending continuing education classes, but her staff routinely joins her at these meetings so they can keep abreast of the latest technology and make the orthodontic experience the best it can be for our patients.

Dr. Sorkin is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Maryland State Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, Carroll County Dental Society, and Howard County Dental Society.

Dr. Sorkin and her husband Andrew, also a dentist, settled in Maryland in 2002. They have two children, Caleb and Abby, and currently reside in Brookeville. In her free time, Dr. Sorkin enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling, especially if its to her home state of Louisiana for the wonderful food and music!

Dr. Jeffrey Jarvis was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Maryland, where he attended DeMatha Catholic High School.He graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in marine biology prior to earning his degree in dentistry from the University of Maryland Dental School.Following dental school, he served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps and completed a residency in advanced education in general dentistry.

After four years in the Navy, Dr. Jarvis was accepted to the three-year postgraduate residency in orthodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School. He obtained his certificate in orthodontics and a masters in oral biology.

Dr. Jarvis became a board-certified orthodontist in 2007 and was re-certified in 2012. It is his belief that learning is a lifelong endeavor. He is motivated by the fact that each education course he takes provides the chance for him to take home a little extra knowledge that allows him to offer the highest service to his patients.

During his tenure as the president of Carroll County Dental Society and the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, it was Dr. Jarviss responsibility to ensure that all dentists and orthodontists were provided the highest caliber and most relevant continuing education possible. He is also a current member of the Carroll County Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Jarvis grew up outside College Park, MD and now residesin Finksburg, MDwith his wife Cristina and their three children: Katia, Bella-Claire, and Andre. When hes not working, you will likely find Dr. Jarvis playing outside with his children or helping to coach his daughters lacrosse team.

Dr. Jarvis cares deeply about his community and enjoys volunteering in the local community planning council and the after-school programs in which his daughters are involved. Dr. Jarvis is thankful to live in an area that provides a wonderful environment for raising children. He is committed to doing his part in keeping this area a family-friendly place.
